suicide is suicide. Heroin addiction even without a purposeful overdose is suicide in slow motion.
Of course you cannot compare human suffering.
Why are some people able to Survive and escape addiction while others eventually make it over the tolerance line? Why do some people outgrow gender disphoria but not others? Probably the same answer.
I just look at suicide as an act of FREE WILL. If I had a child threatening suicide they would not be even 5 minutes out of my sight. but after an adult they are SOVEREIGN

Here is a mind blowing question for you: if the person is so unhappy, depressed, in emotional pain and every day is a horrible eternity of unhappiness, why not let them go?
Opposite sex hormones, surgery, followed by a lifetime of hormones, possible cancer and other debilitating side effects is not going to make anyone want to live that truly doesn't want to.

The thing is, anyone who really and truly wants to commit suicide gets the job done.

its a good start and then the journey becomes individual.
I'm not talking about religion. I'm talking about spirit. The alive part of the person. Not the mental or physical being. We don't have a discipline to nourish the spiritual being but religion which has become a no-no along with family.
But that just means that more, and more of us are undernourished.

So sad all that modern medicine can do is mutilate or treat with drugs incompatible with their DNA type would indicate.
