My first thought were any of the names on the Epstein logs or emails. Next, Biden or Clinton's. Then I thought, people associated with Trump. Then realized that sometimes people make stupid stupid mistakes.

If I wanted Inspirational stories, I would want old people who were still in love with exploration and more importantly experience driving a submarine.

But hey, that is just me.

Sure it was...but if you spend 250k on a ticket on a submarine made by a private company...not just that but its their first one...wouldnt you wanna look into it some?

Certainly. However, being "rich" is not an automatic qualifier for being "intelligent". Those are very often not synonyms.

Been thinking too, dawood is also involved with the SETI project.

I had to think about the private space Industrie as a comparison to the private deep sea endeavors.
Only thing I could think of, is that this will discourage inventors and investors alike.
Occams razor is probably right, money and stupidity is the most likely cause.
Still, hunt for red October, and watch the water, do ring a bell...

Spot on in my humble opinion. Money and stupidity. Still... there is some kind of nefarious smell to this. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Very interesting. I've always believed this was a hoax due to insurance scam and a lot of other factors I've read throughout the years. Did anyone else read this whole thing? I like this idea more than anything else. I don't trust the rich or the powers in control at all, never have.

a reply to: riCK23

Rightly so. The ultra rich seem to have all kinds of skeleton in the closet.

Just some human error in terms of design in this case. That is my opinion,

The snarkiness of some of the people on this site kind of puts me off reading it. That and the belief in aliens etc. But much less so the latter.

I was at one point a believer, but consistent snarkiness ( I am sure you will be able to find one or two examples of me being snarky, but consistently no) was dumb to me even back then.

Be excellent to each other. Or, at least go see someone and explain where the bad man hurt you, before you project your obvious inner pain onto others.

Caveat - not saying I'm not dumb now.

I think it’s the cabal trying to get us to be scared of water. It will reduce population because of dehydration.

Snarky, yet sub-par humor. I expected better from you.

It's a classic example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. The co-founder of OceanGate, Stockton Rush, thought he was smart enough to design a beyond-the-state-of-the-art submersible on the cheap. When his advisors--who had more experience than he did--tried to point out the problems with his approach, he insisted he was right, they were wrong, and he fired them.

As Dirty Harry once said, "A man's got to know his limitations".

So I'm expected to believe a Billionaire, who presumably has a track record of "good" decision making, decided to get on a submersible that wasn't tested?

This narrative is insulting my intelligence. I wouldn't get on a submersible that hasn't been depth tested... It imploded from the pressure of the sea.

Explorer or not; what's the point in being INSIDE the submersible? The submersible was tiny; why go down there when you still can't see anything, and have to use the same tools as you would if you sent it unmanned?

No parts of this story actually track; and to sit there and say "Incompetence!" when you're talking about billionaire's that couldn't exist if they were incompetent -- and calling them low IQ by trying to blame the dunnin-krugger effect is preposterous.

Again, having money (billions in this case) is not automatically synonymous to being cogent. Many billionaires are fundamentally stupid in terms of physics and engineering. They rely on outside sources for their "prowess".

Being a billionaire does not automatically qualify you as an expert in fundamental pressure physics or general engineering mechanics.
These people may have had business IQ, but they lacked the understanding in terms of the physical risks.

Sad situation indeed.

This post lowered my IQ minimum 37 points. Too "Snarky" for you?

You realize that sarcasm is a form of humor. You're saying that you would swear off a public forum with interesting and diverse topics and potentially world view forming discussion because some of the people who also participate are "sarcastic" -- yeah?

I bet you're the super fun one at the family gathering.

Not smart by your own admission. Not fun by your own admission. I guess that must make you a useless eater; I think the NWO are trying to kill you mate.

What's wrong with believing in Aliens? If you think aliens are ridiculous, but god is fine -- God is an Alien by definition. Non-Terrestial being not from the planet earth...

So you must be godless then too?

HEATHEN!

Light the torches, I'm grabbing my pitchfork! [Snarky enough yet?]

How doea a sub implode????? Is it from the weight/pressure of the water above? If so, what could lead to an implosion? loose bolt kinda thing? or microscopic crack in the hull?? im genuinly asking!

How does a sub implode? Many, many ways.

Structural integrity is key in these kind of situations.
I'll try to explain...

At surface level ( vehicle is above the water ) there is an atmospheric pressure that is equal to general Earth level.
That is... normal pressure levels.

As the submersible descends into the depths of the ocean, the pressure levels on the hull increase exponentially.

Have a look at the below link for some fundamental information regarding pressure.
Pressure Fundamentals

In summary, what happens is that the pressure outside the vessel exceeds the pressure inside the vessel.
Physics dictates that an equalization of pressure is required and as a result the outward pressure will try to "enforce" itself onto the inward areas.
Also known as "implosion".

Let me know if you need more information.

The navy reported it on Sunday when they picked up the sound of the implosion on their equipment. It was reported to Biden and the White House, but they sat on it to distract from the Hunter Biden sweetheart deal. Pathetic.

How about this bunch of five has decided to 'vanish' from public life. Get away imitating their deaths.
Put some explosives into that sub, get on another sub that was waiting for them near by, send Titan down, push the button blow that sub under water and them drift away safely on another sub. That's the only explanation I have while learning about Titan being so unprepared for submerge.

I saw a comment about one of the persons in the sub was the owner of the company that just lost 6k tons of ammonium nitrate.

Anyone know if there is any truth to this? If there is, that would be huge!

interesting story of bribes and cover ups

which one, names help, even better would be a link to comment.

think i figured out which one it the comment they were talking about, Shahzada Dawood

Shahzada Dawood Dawood was the vice chairman of Engro, a Pakistani energy investment company, and the Dawood Hercules Corp., an investment and holdings firm. He had expertise in mergers and acquisitions in companies across industries, such as textiles, fertilizers, foods and energy.
The 5 men who were aboard the wrecked Titan sub loved adventures — and taking risks

now off to find the name of the company that lost the fertilizer.

It is established that the Navy got some kind of telemetry from the sub. Details are not forthcoming due to possible Navy clearance/security concerns.

A possible hypothesis. Methinks that people with that kind of money could hypothetically come up with much better/easier scenarios to "vanish".

The CEO did go down to 3000m for 10 hrs in it..so it is said. Not defending the company or build, just relaying what I read.

That pressure then depressurisation may have been enough to cause fatigue in the hull or port..on a subpar design.

The owner and CEO of the company was Stockton Rush, co-founder of OceanGate

The ammonium nitrate issue is unsubstantiated at this point. More will follow most likely.
