I don't think many people are arguing to say that trans women are biological women; besides perhaps a small few on the far side of this issue.

Maybe we can compromise and say that trans women shouldn't be put in the same catagory as women when it comes to certain things like sports and health. But to also compromise by treating them as how they want be seen. (Not calling them a mentally ill man/woman).

I wonder what the main cause of suicides are. Is it because hormone therapy can create suicidal thoughts? Not being accepted and/or exiled from one's community? Is it persistant body dysmorphia (never happy with one's body)?
Or perhaps something else..

Either way, I think we should have an empathic middle-of-the-road approach to this, as they are human beings just trying to be happy like the rest of us. I think the extreme approaches to this do nothing but add fuel to the fire, rather than being helpful.

People are free to think anything they like, but in reality, there is no way on this earth that a man can become a woman or vice versa. I suspect Big Pharma is the driving force behind it. They stand to make millions off each patient over their lifetime "treating" otherwise perfectly healthy people with a dodgy concoction of meds and surgeries, etc.

Depends.

When I was a teenager the suicide was because there really was more judgement less safe space. So it was, "But I don't want to be different! The stigma!". Things were still kept hidden. A lot has changed since the 90's.



Today's kids, not as much. The more rural the community the more likely the previous to be the case, but in the gentrified urban environment, it's less likely.

And most teenagers are moody and emo regardless, just give it some "unacceptable" identity to latch on to.

I suppose it's the same as all suicide, the ones threatening it most are least likely to "cross the borderline".

Because we saw all this with the gay community for decades. With experts saying it was a mental illness, that gay people choose to be gay, people calling them perverts and to watch your children. We jahe seen all this before! Dk we think thst now about gay people? In tbe western world, majority do not.

And we are seeing that here with the trans community. We have people in this thread, who, just like magic, seem to know how every trans person is feeling. They know if they are all happy or sad!

But like I bought up, which DBcowboy ignored. He said they all suffer from mental illness, and they need help because its cruel, yet on this thread, whst are people doing? Taking the micky out of trans people, putting them down, laughing at them!

So all this "it's cruel and they need help" is just bs and a lie!

Would there be a thread on here with people putting down snd taking the mick out of a schizophrenic person? Nope!

These people are backwards and full of hate! Why should people care how another person chooses to live thrir life as long as they are not hurting anything, and trying to make the best life they possibly have?

I think the real question is; why do we care? It's a beauty contest in which trans women don't have an advantage. If people want to elect a trans woman to win it, then so be it. I completely understand the controversy of allowing trans women in women sports, but who cares if its a beauty contest.
