Aaah.. ok if that's what you're asking then no absolutely not it will not go completely political. In fact, I'd personally like to see it go back to it's roots, less political, not really "conspiracy" but let's say... "forbidden truths" at least according to the censorship BIg Tech is implementing. I'd like to see more wikileaks type stuff, twitter files, ET stuff, leaked documents, esoteric stuff etc. etc. I guess if there is anything going on it's that we're trying to make the platform more welcoming for people. Reduce the trolling, rudeness, etc. and just be cool to each other. Here is my philosophy... if I think something is BS, I just ignore it and move on to the next thing. I don't waste my time or energy on it, period.

Here's the thing though. Everyone is working with a different data set so what I might consider BS is simply because I don't have the same data set the other person has. Likewise, my truth may seem like BS to some because they don't have all of the info.

So no, it's not moving towards political. But it is after all a community driven board so it's whatever the users make it out to be. However, I've observed through my own experiences that the energy here is pretty heavy and there were a handful of people just trolling everyone, mods and admins included. So, at some point I'd like to see the people who are reluctant to post (because all of that BS) start posting again. And posting serious articles and experiences, not just a bunch of whining BS (not directed at you or anyone else, just in general).

I'd like to see people walking away from ATS feeling informed and elevated instead of frustrated and never wanting to return. So yea, maybe that's the shift you're all feeling. But it's a positive shift for everyone except for those few who just want to use ATS as their emotional dumping ground and fling crap all over the place.

This community is worth much more than that and people who don't value it as such really shouldn't be here inmho.

It seem different here somehow. I don't need to know the details, an overview of the direction would be nice. Will it still remain a conspiracy site or go completely political? And will the delicious cookies still be available?

Nope. We are 100% independent. Even if we did, # em... what are they going to do, shadowban us? lol. As if we're not already.

I will add though, it's a matter of class. There is no such thing as "hate speech" and "hate speech" is protected by the Supreme Court.. but I think people who come here should keep it classy. There are ways to get points across. Example.

Now that I think of other strangeness in the forums formatting, there's one thing I recall happening occasionally. Although, I haven't come across it for a few years.

If someone used the italics tags in the last line of their post, that same formatting would continue henceforth in all the subsequent posts.

For the sake of science, let's see if it still does it.

I see! Thank you. On my mobile the whole page just looks like it does on a desktop. So this gives me a good idea on where to look to fix the issue. The problem with sites like this is they are a patchwork of years and years of development so it's just code patches over and over again. This site started in what.. 2002, I think that's before "responsive" sites were even a thing.. so they added the responsive CSS later, and then added more and more and more. I know how it goes. Seen it a lot! A total site rebuild is needed for sure but in the meantime, I'll see if there is anything I can do (and see why it doesn't do that on my phone). Are you on iphone or android BTW?

Better discussions come out when people keep it civil. Also makes it easier to share content with people outside ATS .

Actually one thing to consider is maybe a dns alias and channel that would be more easy to distribute among the less conspiracy minded folks outside ats.

For example I would love to share some of the debates here with some non ats members but I don't bother as I know once they see its conspiracy site they immediately ignore it. Also same with sharing via social media platforms. Unfortunately those are the people we need to reach out the most to get them off the koolaid msm drivel.

We do have our nutter no doubt and get things wrong. However we certainly do appear to have a better track record to get to the truth and are ahead of the story often time by 2 or more years ahead of the MSM.

I just want my access to RATS back. All the OneAll crap forced me into a new account, and I've lost all my cred.

lol... like-minds brother! People get too pissy. But on the other hand, some people don't have thick skin and that's the balance I'm urging the staff to bring to the site. A comment here or there is cool but some people just go on and on and on attacking people and it's just like "enough already". But the worst is when new users get here and then several people are jumping all over them. When I first posted I was ready to just bounce because people were really rude but my wife was urging me to move past it because there are some really great people here. Hell, I don't know who it was.. maybe you, but someone decoded the ad banners in like 2 minutes and it took me like 10 minutes to make the damn things! I was like... respect, I will have to up my game now lol

But yea, we were talking about doing some ARG's and stuff like that like back in the day and getting a few sponsors on board to give out free products to winner. Survival supplies, supplements etc. etc. I think that would be cool for people to get free stuff for being clever, posting great content etc. etc. We just have to make it welcoming for people to want to join in and have fun. But I have to say, in the last coouple of days the board has been chill. I'm loving it.
