And yet…still there. You can post replies, make new threads and everything. If it was designated a BTS forum, no Mudpit thread would show in Recents until you sorted by Off Topic threads. Just like the Regional Politics forum and Politicians and People forum as well, I think.

Which might not be a bad idea as well, since pure mudslinging isn’t very conspiratorial so much as just dirty tricks.

What does the mud pit emblem turning black signafy? Is it like the black stripe going thru the ATS emblem?

The stripe in the logo is a memorial to the member's we've lost.

While I don't know for certain, I would assume the changed colors in the forum icon(s) is simply part of Darko starting to play around with the aesthetics of the site.

I base this guess upon recent conversations about icons and fonts being unreadable in light mode and on some mobile devices.

Umm, yeah, no. If I click on Forums, there is no listing for Mudpit, at all. I usually check recent and there are Mudpit posts there along with Breaking News and some others and when I click OffTopic it's rants, relationship, music, etc.

I've already favorited it so I can get there from myATS but just pointing out that there's no clickable emblem.

Maybe make the notification system a little more user friendly or just work at all actually. You can be upset, doesn’t phase me at all. My first post was why is the thread open since the OP deleted their entire post, then bam my post is removed for off topic. Like how is it off topic if there wasn’t a topic? So I ask the question where I thought was appropriate, the Questions forum, then bam now you’re upset cause my question was never answered and now removed another post. Oh and a little feedback the inbox symbol looks like a download button. Hopefully that’s not off the non existent topic.

No, it was a coding error. The mud pit is ID =134 and the 2024 Elections is =184. I get tunnel vision sometimes and when I redid that page I thought I put 134 but I put 184. It's back now.

When i said put us on the blockchain i kinda meant launch a cypto for ats or use an existing one. Let users generate from there posts.
There are lots of social medias and stuff that use it now.. Notabley something like Twetch where user content generates small amounts of cryto.. There are others and its coming fast. I think thats what Elon will be doing with twitter soon. Sharing advert revenue with users and soon be allowed by mover crypto about. There is coin that has just gone live called xcad. It works as a plugin over youtube monetizing user content as crypto and allowing a level of interaction.

If i could wave a magic wand we would be decentralized and run on crytpo.. I dont have a lot but would be happy to pay for the service. Like you been here a while and l like(d) the place, It has over the years been hammered prettty bad. Bt looks like some nice changes are happening again..

YES it does "matter", because AboveTopSecret is, as far as I've experienced, the BEST SOCIAL MEDIA platform for we "little people" to post thoughts, information, theories, etc...

Those others, like Twitter, Telegraph, TruthSocial, etc., are mostly for the "Big Shots" to communicate their thoughts to the masses.

On those sites, you have to have a sizeable group of "followers", in order to get your finds or thoughts dispersed to the public. On AboveTopSecret.com, everyone can see everything. If your thread has an interesting Title, people who care about that subject will see it, read it, and respond, if they feel like it.



BTW...A personal Note to ATS Staff - Thank-you for allowing us to add to existing Mud-Pit threads again!

Now, PLEASE enable those threads to once again be shown in the listing of threads in the "RECENT" view, if we add something important to an existing Mud-Pit thread.

I've been adding new material to existing threads over the past week, but nobody is seeing it. It's like all those threads are in a Black Hole. They were not borderline schizo speculative subjects, like those we started in the "Skunk Works" forum.

Maybe we can ask for permission to move some of them to a "legitimate" forum, if ATS's owner is not keen on enabling Mud-Pit threads to rise to the top of "Recents" if we add something to them? (Letting the ATS software treat them like all other mainstream threads, would be the easiest solution, imo.)

A Suggestion

IMO, The icon/logo for the "Main Breaking News" forum should be changed, to denote that it's not just for U.S. Political News, as the Donkey vs Elephant logo indicates.

It could be changed to a simple "Breaking News" logo. I think that's what it was last month?
