What happens when "the cheque is in the post"?

...Cash flow is reduced! Especially impacting global supply chains where everything is so finely tuned to be "Just In Time".... Many companies depend on cash from sales to come in on schedule, or they'll have to borrow working capital from banks... but oh, look, Interest rates are high and we're in a recession... even banks have to be careful who to lend to or they may go broke.

I think we may see many main street business go bust as a result of the port and postal delivery strikes. That, in turn, exposes the banks who lent those companies money even more.

Imagine the situation where a car manufacturer has 1000 cars on the production line, waiting for $0.25c plastic o-rings to arrive in the post from China... postal delivery being used because the ports are shut?


The UK postal delivery is also going through a series of strikes; trying to stop Royal Mail outsourcing their jobs to the like of Amazon.


So; ports and post shutdown... meaning heavier reliance on train, lorry and plane deliveries... What happens when trains and Airplanes get grounded because of power-outs? Everything comes to a stand-still?

Almost half of the overseas countries in which King Charles III is head of state would vote to become republics if given the opportunity, a new poll has found.
