I was just stating the fact that all of ATS is a home for oddball happenings of the world. That is the main purpose of ATS.

As a matter of fact when some of us have gone off on a tangent, talking about simulation theory, esoterics or even covid, posts get deleted for being off-topic. I don't object to that at all. I can't figure out why people can't see what I see but that is just how things are.

Hmm, and I think we have had a good run here vetting this oddball happenings too. IF, and only if the Robot laws are coded into the operating system would that have to be so. If it is not coded in there as you are pointing out may not be the case with AI, then all bets are off for Asimov's Robot Laws.

What happens is the robot would wait until humans were clear and then self destruct. They are machines and not sentient beings. That they may be able to fake it doesn't change reality AND the AI will automatically go the next thing in an "if, then" computer command line.
