I think the involvement of Belarus is not unexpected at this stage with Russia in need of troops , I doubt it will concern NATO.
What will concern NATO is the appointment of Sergei Surovikin as commander in Ukraine , implicated in the Biological weapon attacks in Syria and ordering the shooting of pro democracy protesters he is considered a bit of a bad lad.
Stage 3.

"“Russian soldiers are entering Belarus by the trainload. They’re traveling in cattle cars - just a huge quantity. Just waves of trains arriving.”
So nothing to see here folks, move right along. Ok. Let 'em build up then. No problemo. Just like last time.

So, a WWIII, although frightening, surely, might not go to nukes since both sides can destroy the world in minutes.

I was actually thinking about the comparison of this and Hitler's V weapons.
Seems the same to me.
And they talk of Ukrainian Nazis?
Sickening hypocrisy.
The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and The United States of America reaffirm their obligation to refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine, and that none of their weapons will ever be used against Ukraine except in self-defense or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.
The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and The United States of America reaffirm their commitment to seek immediate United Nations Security Council action to provide assistance to Ukraine, as a non-nuclear-weapon state party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, if Ukraine should become a victim of an act of aggression or an object of a threat of aggression in which nuclear weapons are used.
Except Putin is coming to the end of his reign and probably knows that eventually ends in his death, so the man has nothing left to lose, it would end up in a repeated exchange of nuked cities all over the world in all likelihood, tit for tat until the world is plunged into a bad movie set

Is anyone in our government considering the use of nukes under such circumstances?
