Ukraine has received fighter planes and aircraft parts to bolster its air force in the face of Russia’s invasion, the Pentagon said Tuesday, declining to specify the number and type of aircraft nor their origin.
Ukrainian forces “right now have available to them more fixed wing fighter aircraft than they did two weeks ago,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters.
He noted the United States had “helped with the transhipment of some additional spare parts that have helped with their aircraft needs, but we have not transported the whole aircraft.”

I understand your take. To clarify, I was thinking that Ukraine had existed independently for some 30 years, but now, for some reason, it is an emergency for Russia.
I am just guessing, but it feels like a schedule was changed to make things happen sooner. Or, perhaps, it was decided that other measures like economic pressure would not achieve the desired results.
Cheers
As a reminder

The very first casualty in a war is the truth and all warfare is based on deception

Navy veteran Patrick Lancaster describes himself on Facebook as “an independent crowdfunded journalist,” but critics argue that he is a foot soldier in the Kremlin’s information war against Ukraine.
On Monday, Lancaster posted a video from the city of Mariupol in southeastern Ukraine, which has been besieged by the Russian military for weeks. The Russians have blasted their way through the city the same way they razed other cities, including Grozny in Chechnya and Aleppo in Syria. The city’s mayor has claimed that at least 10,000 civilians have been killed in the fighting and the Russians have reportedly relocated thousands of other Mariupol residents.
Yet Lancaster’s video places the blame for the suffering of Mariupol’s residents squarely on Ukraine’s shoulders. While the video showed several bodies lying in the streets, a man dressed in civilian clothes whom Lancaster interviewed said all the dead were “terrorists” who belonged to Ukraine’s Azov Regiment, which has a history of accepting neo-Nazis as volunteers.
AKA Donetsk / Luhansk - uniting the Russian speaking people of Ukraine with Russia.
The occupation of the Sudetenland, the border regions in the north and west of Czechoslovakia, was the first time Hitler flexed his military muscles in Europe. The region was conceded to Germany by the Czech government in an attempt to avoid war after the Germans made demands for it to be handed over. For Hitler, this fulfilled two aims. One was to unite the German speaking people of this region with Germany, supporting his goal of a larger, united German nation. The other was that it let him test how far he could push other European powers, who backed down rather than defend Czechoslovakia from German threats.
Just as Putin claims Ukraine is not a country and has always been a part of Russia and Putin is restoring Russia to its natural borders.
Like the occupation of the Sudetenland, that of Austria was part of a drive towards a great Germany. Austria had been part of the German Confederation until Prussia pushed it out in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, ensuring that Prussia led German unification five years later. There had been an attempt to include Austria in a larger Germany in 1918 though other countries blocked this. To Hitler, taking over Austria – a move known as Anschluss – was simply the expansion of Germany to its natural borders.
Just as Putin views Ukraine. Criminals were dressed in Polish uniforms and executed so Germany could fabricate causus belli . Exactly what Russia/Belarus are doing.
Having brought most Germans together, Hitler wanted more space for them to live in. ‘Lebensraum’, meaning ‘living space’, [was his idea that the German people had a right to a greater territory to support them and ensure their growth. This was to come at the expense of other people, who he saw as inferior. Poland, a large country with a lot of agricultural lands, provided both an easy target and plenty of space.
AKA the European countries that have any population of Russian/Russian speaking people.
Southern Denmark contained some German speaking people, and there were Nazis who hoped to occupy it in time. But the reason for its invasion in 1940 was a strategic one.
Ice free / warm water ports - AKA Ukraine.
....Norway had ice-free ports with access to the north Atlantic, with its trade routes vital to Europe. It also provided access to the mines of mineral rich Sweden to the south and east. Both trade and minerals would be vital to winning the war.
AKA NATO
France’s military alliance with Poland, signed in 1921, brought the French into the war and gave Hitler the excuse he needed.
AKA Putin and his disdain for Democracy / Capitalist system / NATO - which Putin used on his rise to power.
At the start of the Second World War, Germany, and the Soviet Union were allies, but this was never going to last. The Nazis were ideologically opposed to the Communist ideas under which the Soviet Union was run. As in much of Europe, there were ]many people in Germany who feared Communism, and Hitler had added fuel to this fear, using it to support his rise to power. He believed it was necessary for his plans, that the Soviets should be defeated, however, hard that would be.
Coming soon to a theater near you in Belarus.
At the start of the war, Italy was Germany’s strongest ally. But this did not last. By 1943, losses on every front made Italians unhappy about the war. The Allies invaded in July of that year, and on the 25th of July Mussolini was ousted by a government that sought peace.
The Germans could not let Italy surrender. They rescued Mussolini and used him as head of a puppet government in the north. Italy was now effectively occupied by two opposing armies – that of the Germans in the north and the Allies in the south.
The term you are looking for is Factual, not creative.

What a creative reply
So your saying both sides media is wrong, but somehow western media is "more" wrong? Talk about a "creative" word salad to excuse Russian media. Blame the western media - check

In terms of media, two wrongs don't make a right, regardless of Russian media, that doesn't excuse the MSM coverage of this conflict, and I have followed it from day one.
No Ukraine was fighting an insurgency courtesy of Russia.

Secondly, you are aware that the Kiev government was already murdering their own citizens 8 years prior, is that not genocide? Secondly, if Russia was actually committing genocide, the casualties would be way higher than what they currently are, simple arithmetic.
Genocide is an internationally recognized crime where acts are committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. These acts fall into five categories:
1 - Killing members of the group
2 - Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group
3 - Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part
4 - Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
5 - Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group
No kidding? Its not WW2 yet people are ok with Putin living in the 1980's - check Also your response is creative the way you just tried to excuse Russian acts by playing "what about'isms".

I'll just agree to disagree with you on the rest, you could theoretically change your argument to the United States, and beyond that either way, this isn't World War 2, although you might want to check out just exactly how the Kiev government came into being, there are some similarities with another well known leader you mention a few times
