Also method of exposure and how long they were exposed. Sarin evaporates very quickly so exposure time is very limited. Its also heavier than air so will quickly drop to the ground a droane would not be a very effective delivery method.

Rheinmetall ready to supply up to 50 tanks to Ukraine

BERLIN, April 11 (Reuters) - Military equipment maker Rheinmetall (RHMG.DE) is preparing to supply up to 50 used Leopard 1 battle tanks to Ukraine, the Handelsblatt newspaper reported on Monday, citing the group's CEO.

Rheinmetall could deliver the first tanks in six weeks and the rest over the following three months through its subsidiary Rheinmetall Italia if it gets a green light from the German government, Chief Executive Armin Papperger told Handelsblatt.

Papperger said Ukrainian soldiers could be trained on the Leopard 1 within a few days if they are already skilled military personnel.

Schebekino is only some eight kilometers from the Ukrainian frontier. Might have been the crossing over the Nezhegol' River.

Based on the pictures it was damaged heavily (Railway bridge). The bridge is still up but it looks like one of the spans is "non-functional". Russia also raised the "terrorist alert" for Crimea as well as Russian territory that border Ukraine in the Black Sea.

The old minister of defense for the Breakaway province, Streklov (iirc) warned Russia that the war would not be contained to just Ukraine and that the war could cross into Russia at any point.

No trains over that bridge until repaired. Hefty damage to the rails. Based on the photos, it does look similar to the Bing Maps satellite view of the bridge over the Nezhegol' . (The 'map' location given by that URL is just a station, not a bridge).

ETA. May be the bridge over the Rozumnaya near Belgorod, which -is- indicated by the URL provided by XCathdra. Sat view also looks similar to the photos of the damaged bridge. Which makes this 'action' much more remarkable, as this bridge is some 35 kilometers from the Ukrainian frontier.

The Russian state does not seem to be apt at forecasting "could happens". With them weakening troop strength in southern Russia garrisons to reinforce Ukraine, other groups that don't like Russia could take inspiration from actions like this, and then the Rosgvardia will have their hands full watching infrastructure of all kinds.

I expect it's heavily guarded, as Russia knows its destruction would be an arse-faced failure. Plus, Ukraine may be reluctant to give Russia more excuses to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure. However, worth speculating whether Ukraine has the capability (e.g. rockets) to accurately target the bridge from afar.

Tactics say that would be an excellent target since they set up 2 supply stations in Crimea. If I was in charge of Ukraine not only would I hit the bridge I'd also send an armored brigade through the front door like those thousand tanks they are receiving
