In a twist of historical irony, like Germany during Operation Barbarossa, the Russians lack the logistical capabilities to supply their ground forces with winter clothing and equipment. As a side note, I am disappointed by New Zealand's failure to dispatch specialised winter apparel to Ukraine. An opportunity to assist Ukraine at a modest cost is going unheeded.

They don't lack anything Xpert, Putin lacks reality that is the problem with (Special operation)
We go in a bit a little bit here a little bit there and they are done (not)

That I agree, Putin made bad decisions, it does not mean Russia does not have cababilities left.

Like what? What hidden capabilities does Russia have tucked away, waiting to pounce, like a hamster in a pipe? I guess nuclear and chemical/bio are off the cards (we hope).

Around 20 - 30 thoulsand troops have been killed, putin still has around 100.000 troops plus at least an equal number of separatists.

How many decently trained front-line troops has Russia got left? How many experienced tankers to replace the very many who have been incinerated? How many tanks has Russia got left to replace the large numbers lost? It's a foolish calculation to count numbers. For every soldier killed, four are wounded. How many wounded will return to the fight?

As we speak, Ukrainian nationals are training in the UK. They will return to Ukraine with new methods and a real edge when facing ill-equipped and demoralised Russians and their lackeys - civilians dressed as soldiers.

I appreciate that you have a great hope and belief in Russian arms. That Russia will somehow arise and boot Ukraine into submission, just like the old days. But that moment has been lost. As soon as Russia lost the initiative outside Kyiv in the first weeks of this war, it was downhill for them. They are now on the defensive, and being pushed back in some places.

This is a shocking war, that has been started by Russia. Russia will either be bled into defeat, or be forced to sue for peace and leave Ukraine.

No, not nuclear. It has long range things like cruise missiles, iskanders, airplanes.

They have these, they fly very high and very fast and can drop munitions from very far away from the target.
upload.wikimedia.org...
These can be loaded with conventional piles of weapons.

It's very easy to take out infrastructure, like I stated coal power plants, gas pipes, electrical grid line.

This would leave Ucraine in the dark in the winter and make it very hard for it's army to make offensive in the winter along with the cold climate. Tho it would be very harsh for the people of Ucraine it would make it impossible for the Ucrainian army to cope for the winter.

Just by taking out bridges outside kiev and road infrastructure would make it hard, Cement does not dry in the winter as I stated

Only about 30.000 Russian troops have been killed, the rest are there .
But as stated the numbers in the media are exagerated and inflated to boost morale for Ucraine.
Problem of course is if this continues the Russians will continue to suffer losses so you got to somehow take out their resources for the winter that keeps them warm, it's very hard in the cold winter especialy if you don't have heat and electicity.

That is just propaganda you see on TV, things are not as tragic as they show it to be.

That is your opinion and it's fine to have one, I disagree, it's the land of the Don people, as I showed on old maps it does not belong to Ucraine and if people want to split from Ucraine they should take their land with them as they see fit.

Please explain then why Ukraine's Air Force is still operating?

Why has Russia not been able to establish complete air superiority?

As for "propaganda", you must be having a laugh?

It's simple, because Putin wants a special operation commando like, it's not hard to understand is it ?
We only saw those low flying migs and not in abudnance. I did not see advance migs, or on rare occasion, I did not see Armata tanks.

It's Putin's policy and the Generals even told him there is nothing wrong with the army, it's the decisions being made, almost insulting him if you will.

For example S-400 batteries are almost non existant, one here one there, they simply are not around, the pansirs were sent in low numbers and not used all that much. They used those old AA tanks with machine guns on them.

So we should add it is the commando style that hurt the Russian army, you need a large array of things in this case against a large army.
You are not rescuing princess Leia to form a commando to get her out, you are at war with another nation.

Excuses, excuses.

Not "commando like" at all.

Far from it.

Russian military strategy is based on heavy shelling with artillery. Mostly of civilian targets.

Ukraine's tactics are now based on being far more mobile in their maneuvers.

And they are making rapid advances.

They sent in at first some commandos with choppers to take the airport near kiev, they all died, Putin was playing his KGB agent style, that is negligence.

Before this he took a bunch of rookies that were conscripts and told them they are going on training to train inside Ucraine and left them there without any supply, you know you are a commando, deal with it.

The number of Anti Arial vehicles and the way they have been setup is insufficient, it resembles a low level operation.

It is a commando like operation because in real war you tear down everything your enemy can use and Putin has not done that, they were near kiev and they only took out the Radio Relay and some wear hoses where they were storing amunitions. The rest of the infrastructure was left intact, Roads, Power Lines, soldiers in Kiev on the street seen in the intersection by drones were not targeted, not even the baricades were targeted.

But the Ucrainians don't miss an oportunity to kill without mercy. So Putin is the gentelman agent operation, he wants to copy the west as in a limited force that strikes only a few places and gets the job done.
It is and it does look like a special operation.

Special operations don't work against huge standing armies, that is the truth.

You are making less and less sense.

I'm afraid that the writing is on the wall for Putin and his badly planned and consequently disastrous war.

No wonder, he resigned.
www.youtube.com...
I don't find him a good general, but even he resigned, because Putin wants to decide alone and it's causing Russian lives and equiptment.

He is simply I think not listening to his Generals.

I don't disagree with that, Putin made lots of mistakes, but it's not too late to change course and "let them have it"
I'm sorry but I'm with Russia on this one, Ucraine has grown out of the suffering of all these countries and don't even want to let these people to have their own culture inside their vilages and lands, they are Fascist like when it comes to other's people cultural background.

It's horrible what they have done to the people of Don, they are so many separatists that their number probaly excedes the number of Russian troops. These people now Hate Ucraine, and Zelinsky wants to keep their lands at all costs when it's not Ucraine's lands but theirs really.

Who Zelinsky ? he is the dictator really, dictating over people's lives that they are not to speak Russian in their classrooms. Now he banned Russian langauge in Kiev.

He went in and bombed their local schools , bombed their churches and bombed their homes and now the separatist numbers are of epic proportion because of this. If they were not Ucraine would of long taken over Don Bas before the Rusian invasion ? It shows these people hate Ucraine and took up arms in mass proportions.

They came to a Romanian vilage for example and told them that they should talk less Romanian, it's a former Romanian village with Romanian majority, and that the next time they speak Romanian on the streets so loud they will come armed.

Similar things happened to Hungarians for example living in western Ucraine, they just don't repsect people's culture and these things are not reported in the western media, they are not talked about, no one says a word.

It's fine you may continue to support Zelinsky the wasp. I don't mind it, just don't get personal with people who do not agree with you.

Not so much with Russia but with the people of Don, because these people deserve better maybe away from Zelinsky.

Did Zelinsky invade dombas and crimea and then call them part of russia?

Perhaps you are confused again?

I seem to recall that pro Russian posters were all over an old Amnesty International report.

Well, here is their latest, and it's a simply devastating condemnation of war crimes committed by Russia, and on a massive scale:

Yes, let those pesky Ukrainians "have it", just like the 20-40,000 civilians killed in Mariupol. All very civilised. Just kill, kill and kill again until there is no one left.

I really feel dreadfully sad for the mentality of some people, and the Russian supporters. "They are only Ukrainians - after all, Ukraine is not a real country, so how can killing Ukrainians matter"?

Sadly for Russia, the Ukrainians have a backbone and won't take this racist and genocidal Russian behaviour.

This normally trusted source with a high level of historical accuracy and known for having very good russian sources, is claiming that russia is in the process of rapidly abandoning Kupiansk and predicts that Ukrainian forces will take the entire city within 24 hours.

He further claims that russia is bringing large numbers of airborne forces from deep inside russia to set up new defensive lines east of Kupiansk.

youtu.be...

No idea if true, his report of this surprised me.

It appears that russian MOD is confirming this bugout now
