You REALLY don't understand how wealthy we are compared to russia, your repeated absurd claims on this subject sure are funny though.

The cost of saving Ukraine isn't even a tiny drop in the bucket to the West, and is even less significant to defense contractors.



Meanwhile, putin's war is rapidly bankrupting russia right before our eyes.

They have already taken more losses than they have the ability to replace. This is why they are shipping old soviet tanks to Ukraine. On the plus side gives Ukraine money as they sell them for scrap metal.

I don't think the 62s are going anywhere near combat, russia isn't THAT stoopid or desperate.

Yet.

More likely they'll be used well behind the lines to kill Ukrainian civilians for the crime of embarrassing russia by peacefully protesting in places like Kherson.

Because those civilians can't shoot back.




But that scrap metal is gonna really be nice to have when the steel plant in Marioupol is rebuilt with 100% funding from those frozen russian accounts.

I have wanted to make a thread about this for like a month but RL has sped up for me quite a bit over the last 6 weeks and I just haven't had the time.

There are two very solid videos about why Russia , economically, are done, even if sanctions were lifted tomorrow, it's going to take them years to recover. If they continue, Russia, as it stands today as a country, is done. Russia will exist, but it won't be in it's current state. The presentations are long, probably 2 hours worth but they lay out the policies, procedures and tactics the Russians have done economically to artificially prop up the Ruble and how the measures are basically a band aid on a bullet wound.

Everything is extremely well sourced. Too well for a nerd like me. I probably spent 5x as much time reading the links and their sources then I did watching the original video.

It also covers a lot of the logistics and economics of the West. It points out how the West would be affected by a protracted war. Just one point in many extremely valid ones is this...

If NATO countries in total pledged to meet there annual budget commitments of 2% from where there spending was pre war, it would generate 84B USD, more than Russia's current military spending in total and more almost double Ukriane's GDP. We have the ability to fund a Ukrainian victory without ever having a boot from NATO officially touch the ground in a hostile fashion as long as the Ukrainians continue to show the will to fight. Which they do.

I wish I had the time to devote to the posting the thread but it is just too time consuming right now. Anyone who wants a much deeper understanding of what is happening away from the battlefield in this war, it's worth the time.

Reports that Russians are refusing to evacuate wounded from the front lines in order to conserve their trucks

This is what caused the French army to mutiny in 1917 during the Nivelle offensive in the Chemin des Dames where French
army medical system broke down leaving wounded for days

This has potential to spark a mutiny among Russian troops, who are already suffering from low morale
