Russia has 4 times the population of Ukraine. And that's not counting rebels. In a war of attribution Russia has the edge. Also, Russia has a fairly potent military industrial complex to replace losses. It is to Russia's benefit to drag the war out.

Definitely a David and Goliath thing going on.

You have Ukraine, fighting with heart & soul for their country -- with most of the rest of the world supporting them.

Then you have young war age Russians who know or are learning they've been lied to and are fighting an unjustified war against their friends and neighbors.

Tracked vehicles are expensive and take a long time to make. Russia's switching over to cheaper and faster to build armored cars armed with remote controlled turrets.

Russians do not consider Ukrainians different. They consider it a domestic matter. Family feud. The situation is different from 1980s Afghan war. Russians consider Afghans different people and had no interest in Afghanistan. Russians love Ukrainians because they consider them the same people the way Hitler considered British Anglo Saxons and the same people as Germans.

Bit of a shame that they are killing them remorselessly in huge numbers on a daily basis, then.

NLAW doesn't have the range to effectively engaged. While Javelin may pose a threat, Javelin costs more than an armored car and may not be practical economically.

I've posted information about them on numerous occasions since this malarkey started.

Off the top of my head check out Russian Orthodox Army, Wagner Group, Vostok Battalion, Rusich Company, Varyag Battalion to name but a few.

Some are worse, and more extreme, than others.

Lots of unsavoury characters are attracted to war zones....seems this has more than its fair share, probably on both sides.

I know, right!

But, which demographic believes all that propaganda?

I can see granny Urkaine out fighting for her country, but not granny Russia.

The young are more informed, they know they're being lied to.

You got it backward the longer this goes on the worse it is for Russia. Ukraine will continue to receive supplies from the west. Meanwhile back in Russia, they don't have the manufacturing capabilities to replace what they already lost. Even at their height a couple of years ago they were still only producing 50 tanks a year. and if we're talking ships takes decades now to even build one. It got so bad China bought several ships and they had to finish them in their own docks. were you aware they bought a lot of their rockets from Ukraine? That's not likely to happen now. Putin created whole new levels of stupid starting this war.

I wonder who the next Russian troll will be entering this thread. Seems like we average a new one every two days and they disappear.
