You used a broad brush which is a poor start tbh.....

Some are angry, and some are still stuck in an old testament ritualistic religious mindset........

Jesus himself rebuked those kind.

A true Christian is just overjoyed with finding a personal relationship with Jesus and the feeling that comes with that........

It is a joy we want to spread and it feels good to introduce people to him.....

I don't get angry and feel compelled in the slightest to force my beliefs on others.....it's easy to do if your motive is truly altruistic.......which is what happens when you allow intuition (Holy Spirit) to guide you.....

I see a lot of believers using condemnation in their message which is laced with disdain and self righteousness........I get mad at that too ....

This is not all believers and we're not all religious and angry......

I strive to be an example of that.

I speak of the reality we live in, which the bible illustrates over and over, almost to the point of annoyance in the old Testament. This isn't about forcing anything. It's like saying fire is hot, don't put your hand on the stove. If you don't get it, or don't agree, it still doesn't change the laws created in this universe no matter what opinion anyone wants to have. Reality doesn't care about your opinion and people need to start understanding that fact.

Your whole notion of God partnering with Satan is not something that you can get from reading the Bible though, unless you've followed some masterclass of reading that into the text.

Are you kidding? When I was around 14 I decided to read the bible cover to cover. I will admit that I glossed over the fact that the serpent in genesis was actually satan because it hadn't occurred to me that it could be that same character.

I then started reading the book of Job and the first thing that jumped out at me is that satan is in heaven, as Deetermined has pointed out maybe not heaven heaven, a holy place, but god is there and they talk and god mentions Job. Satan says he is pious because you have blessed him, take it away and he will curse you and god said do what you want with him but you can't touch him.

How is that not partnering? It certainly seemed that way to me at an early age. What I thought at that moment was, Why would god do that? Followed by why is satan even allowed to be there? It just went against everything that I had been told up to that point.

It didn't take a masterclass to work out that simple logic.

Burning for eternity isn't exactly non existence.

Also unmerciful as well as cruel unjust and unrighteous.
So if scripture intercedes with the picture you choose to paint that suits
your ignorance of the truth.

Why reply with such out dated atheist drivel. In fact be honest, the only
reason you repeat these same old lies isn't because Gods a meanie or
he's to strict or he's cruel.

It's because you think to much of you.

And if you want the results of that way of thinking?

Just look around the world today. The first thing you will see is the final
throes of a world man built with out any guidance from God. A world
that surely was not meant to be.

Man is a loose cannon with out Gods guidance. Bound for self destruction.

It's your way that has brought all this evil into the world.

It didn't take a masterclass to work out that simple logic.

What logic is there to be had if you don't even bother to think it thru?

Why don't you try to understand the importance of what is actually
going on in the book of Job?

I bet you're the kind of guy that if you saw your wife having dinner
with her boss? You'd accuse her that same night of having an affair
with him. Most likely before she got a word out of her mouth.

Not even rational.

It isn't "out dated atheist drivel", if someone is burning for eternity they are existing, in a bad situation.

It is drivel when used to claim a false narrative. No?

Actually, I'm not the jealous type.

I told my wife early in our relationship that we should agree that if at some point in our relationship one of us isn't happy we should be able to bring it up and talk about it openly.

If she fell out of love with me and sought happiness with someone else I don't consider myself someone who should stand in her way.

It has been 22 years and she seems to still be digging me.

Hell of a straw man thought.

No, if god intends to keep souls burning for eternity then that doesn't equal non existence.

I see some of the same people in every thread about God or any mention about Jesus Christ, get so angry at a God they say doesn't exist. The Bible tells us why they're so angry.

It's because they know God exists. Everyone knows God exists. The Bible says this:

Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

What this is saying is, on that day of Judgement, you will not be able to say,"God, I didn't know" or "God, I didn't understand."

This goes to the heart as to why people who say God doesn't exist are so angry at God. I have never debated people that are more angry than atheist. A woman believes in God and it gives her comfort when a child dies and she's an idiot for believing in some imaginary guy in the sky.

Why does it bother atheists that people get comfort in their faith in God? If you don't believe, fine but why so angry not just at them but mostly at God you say doesn't exist?

Again, it's because they know God exists. They hate the fact that they know God exists. They don't just want to be separate from God, they want God removed from their conscious. They don't want the knowledge of God's existence and of their spiritual nature.

This is the tower of Babel, mystery Babylon and now the human fraternity of the pope and imam.

The flesh or carnal mind wants to do as it pleases and it wants to be a law unto itself. I talk about this in this thread:

The spiritual mind vs the carnal mind
www.abovetopsecret.com...

The Bible says,"THE INVISIBLE THINGS OF HIM" are clearly seen and understood by us.

This is why they're so angry at God who they say doesn't exist. They know He exists.

God through our spiritual minds is constantly known to us. So no matter what they do, that voice enters their mind. "You know that God exists." "You know that Jesus is the Son of God." "You know you are spirit."

This is the knowledge of God that sears their conscious like a hot iron. The Bible says:

1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

So when you see people so angry at God they claim doesn't exist, it's because their conscious is seared by their knowledge of God and their spiritual nature.

They want to live in a world without the knowledge of God but they can't because it's God's Spirit that sustains us. It gives us life. Your carnal mind is dead, it's nothing once you die. You will only be left with your spiritual mind and the knowledge that you will be separated from God for all eternity.

Even our pet animals and farm animals know God exists. It's common-sense-based knowledge that permeates the living universe.

How in the hell can you even imagine God would judge us so harshly?

Even a made up fairy tale would make better sense.

Trust me read the white throne judgement for yourself. Man can suffer
a second death and after that he is no more. " The wicked" are immortal.

Always have been always will be.

I'm sorry, but: NO. Those are your laws, not mine. Your insistence that these laws exist is your point of view, not reality. I am not ruled by a myth and your insistence otherwise is one of the reasons why I am an atheist.

*Rolls eyes*
Yes, of course our farm animals and pets know that a god exists. It's the person that feeds them every day and gives them cuddles when they need comfort. In other words: Us.

My point isn't about humans, it is about the bible saying god can't stand sin and also saying he partnered with the greatest sinner ever.

That is the contradiction.

I honestly don't understand why you can't grasp such a simple concept.

Now you know why someone accuses you of arguing just for the sake of arguing, because we are now back at square one.

You might as well just curse God for ever creating evil and allowing it to exist in the first place because that's where your argument is headed.

Satan got smug thinking that making bad things happen to good people would turn them against God. Job proved to Satan that it didn't work and knocked Satan down a peg. God then blessed Job with more than he ever had before for staying strong in his faith. What does the Bible say? Those who endure to the end will be more than rewarded.

You're old enough to be married for 22 years yet you're still traumatized and holding a grudge about something you read and misunderstood at the age of 14? I guess you're living proof that hardened hearts truly are a stubborn thing, but then again, I never understood how anyone (including Satan) were basically capable of still spitting in God's face when it turns into the battle of the wills.

The Bible tells us that only God has the ability to destroy both the body and the soul. There is a reference to the "second death" also. What exactly that means or entails is a whole other discussion, but as for the point, the Bible tells us that the point is to cleanse the earth of the ungodly. After everything has been judged and all of God's enemies have been removed (one way or another), then God will finally be able reside personally with his people.

I think you're misunderstanding what Wookie is saying. We ALL live under the laws of nature and the Creator whether anyone believes in a Creator or not. If you don't believe in a Creator it doesn't change that you still live under the laws of the universe or anything else you want to call it. We're all going to die a human death and there's nothing you or anyone else can do to stop it. We all may have different opinions on what happens to our spirits and souls after we die, but it's still not going to change what really happens either.

Blaming other people for why you're an atheist isn't going to save you from it. We all make choices and the results of those choices all fall back on us individually in the end.
