I've read Ukraine's command and control was integrated into NATO
They can issue commands down to the unit

Like in real time right now? Thats pretty significant. That would mean the US is helping with intel and coordination? That may actually be something Putin didn't consider, though it would fall under worst case contingencies. Cool if its true.

Zelinsky just offered Ukrainian criminal prisoners with skills the option to earn a free pass by using those skills to defend Ukraine right now.

The Russians are not only facing “fuel and sustainment” problems, but are showing signs that they are running out of food, the official claimed.

NOBODY wants to face prisoners with a path to earn freedom through body counts.

History has some examples, none were pretty.

Prisioners just don't have any reason to let up, surrender or retreat until the enemy is all dead.

Brutal. For both better and worse.

Ukraine is certainly trying to leverage that into 'winning' a war, but I agree, not nearly enough for that.

So gotta make hay while it's still possible

And make sure russian parents know exactly what happened.

Putin isn't ever going to tell them.
