Basically, the Board is already in trouble for ignoring subpeonas.

So, inviing the Court is the dumbest thing they can call for.

It just means more discovery for the Auditors.

Maricopa board is full of morons.

It really doesn't look good on them, does it? Or for them. They have put all of this in such personal terms, as well as criminal terms, that I can't help but think that they are defending themselves now... not the Board or the County or even the elections. And I seriously doubt they are the guiltiest parties in this farce. But they're going to be Dominion's fall guy(s) if Dominion has its way.

They may be. They may also be in such a compromised position that this is actually their best option... Or at least they think so. They seem to have a "united we stand and divided we fall" pact going here. They've definitely consulted attorneys.

This is very highly opinionated -- in favor of the Senate audit. But it's not all opinion, and worth a read.
This is the only new information to me --

The MCBOS, as noted above, chose two audit firms, claiming they were certified, but at the time they were not. Per a cursory review of the work of these teams, which is limited, we have come across no audits where these auditors ever claimed differences between the results of the election. These firms are also highly involved in certifying the machines used in audits.

So if they find fault with the machines, they are finding fault with themselves and their industry. Fox watching the hen house??? Sheesh.

It compares a few key aspects of the Senate audit vs the County audit:

Their conclusion:

Overall there is no comparison between audits.
The Senate’s audit is comprehensive and bold. They will determine the accurate results of the 2020 Election in the County and will likely identify any issues with voting hardware and software as well.
The MCBOS audits were a waste of money and were put in place to obtain a clean bill of health based on a very limited audit approach.

MCBOS needs to stop patting themselves on the back as they hide behind innocent hard working county employees and election workers, while trashing the Senators, the auditors, and every Maricopa citizen who wants this audit. They need to just deal with the problems at hand.

If someone is good enough to offer them a deal if they just rat out Dominion, I sure hope they take it.

What a question... In theory, right. Definitely. In practice, apparently, they are going to push this to its absolute limits. They are willfully and publicly refusing to comply with a court ruling for the subpoenaed equipment. So now the Senate has to respond. I think it has played itself out in the courts -- in the Senate's favor. The Senate has the power to have the Supervisors arrested with a proper majority. When the Senate voted on arrests before (when the County refused to comply with subpoenas), one Republican Senator changed his vote at the last minute. Would he again? After all this? I don't know.

We just have to wait and see what the Senate does.

Not a good idea. Finish and report Maricopa audit results first. If all is in order, no need to audit elsewhere in Arizona.
