Sorry, I believe you guys are mistaken. This object looks way more sophisticated than, just some plywood with stainless steel sheets , screwed to it. It's kind of obvious, yous, have not ever fabricated something from metal before, especially something, as large as this object. Wouldn't you think also, these guys , that found this, thing, are chopper pilots, at least one, not stupid. If it were screwed together, it would be kind of, obvious.
This whole thing would be costly, sheets of metal, of that size, without any dimples, or manufacturing flaws would be, hard to make the thickness of the metal. But to me, this looks like prank, some rich bored dudes, thinking, they could spoof some stupid Humanoids. Did.
Why would they say, not give up location, might get messed up, lost what ever bull. What do humans do, they examine, disassemble things. If this location was given up, as long as it was legal, or not, it would be out of the ground and opened up, period.

If you really wanted to question something, I would look at, the Hopi Indians, say this is 5th, 6th world? Well , Ok, the reptilians, that survived and developed underground, after the last, extinction level world event, are still here. The U.F.O.s and the U.F.S.O.s, are the reptilians living beneath the Earth's crust. Just like Admiral Byrd, said. All, the cattle mutilations and abductions, are the Underearthers, checking on their, animals. Oh and don't forget the breeding , of the highbreds. But that's another thing. But That's what, I would check out, this sounds like bull.
Anunnaki, the Sumerian Tablets

Yeah, back to that thing, think about it, the new Area 51, is in Utah, it might be some of those dudes, the young one goofing off, like they would have the materials and the means.

From the picture it also appears it may be concave on the sides.....look at the base.

Something similar to this, though I can see the other sides.

I don't think so. Looking at the video looks flat sided . What makes it look concave is where they have trod too much earth up on that side to fill the hole in so the earth is heaped up the base a bit. I thought when I saw that it reminded me of fence posts I have fitted when you fill the top above the concrete to make good .

I think what you'll find is it is actually flat. What you're seeing is dirt mounded up on the front side, and the reason for this is water drained off the rocks above through the crevice behind the object. The direction of drainage is towards the camera (the whole area drains to the south), the camera is pointing NW. So, as the water drained by the object it created an eddy behind it were dirt piled up.

Could be....thought about that as well.....water moving around it creating a eddy on the side we can see and gathering sediment.

From the pic, there is clearly a water source coming from behind the object when it rains.

I have traveled all over this area fairly extensively and do know the conditions that exist, but I am a bit baffled by the pic....it appears to be a natural water catch type of formation, but also appears to have a lot of salt content based on the white sediment in the water gathering area behind the object.

With the amount of coverage this particular story is getting I would not be surprised if the creator pops up soon.

Okay, I see what you're talking about now. I stand corrected. My apologies. But it's still not near Flaming Gorge.

Huh, what a weird coincidence...there's actually (2) different Hwy 191's...who knew! There's the one I was talking about south out of Rock Springs Wyoming, and there's the one you are talking about in Utah, and it doesn't appear they are the same.

So, the Green river you are talking about is it's outflow from Flaming Gorge. But neither location is anywhere near Flaming Gorge.

I have been all over the area too, and I think if they packed it back and used some of that water you would never see what they disturbed.
Cleary a HUGE operation though to get that thing all the way out there and install it!

years ago we had a metal fabricator create a stainless tank for us, about 4 by 6 stainless, pretty expensive a couple hundred years ago and they clearly did not create a seamless like that.

The art project mentioned in the thread was very similar sounding with a 9 ft metal obelisk.

Yeah....the metal fabrication for this would have been quite the undertaking. Whomever did it is good. It isnt just cheap sheet metal, tin snips and 2x4's....

I have a friend that fabricates and does a lot of privacy fencing and such and this would take him a while to get perfect.

I am of the thought it was made prior to transport as you never know how something will line up and can't imagine bringing in any tools you could use build this on site.

Also it would have been a big sheet perhaps can't see the seams.

The heavy special object we had made in a small town only too a couple days because they have the equipment, If you have the bending folding and in our case weld on one side equipment this is not a big job, the place makes all kinds of ducts and the kind for big buildings for wiring are like this object. Theirs looks way less nice with the holes.

Wait a minute...are you talking about the map they showed in the news report??

That map intentionally obscured the correct location, they even said it. What map with the mountain goat are you talking about?

Regardless of anyone's thoughts on it, the fact it has polished rivet/weld spots screams man-made.....as I said in the OP.

I am really wondering why....and why here?

Is there anything about this specific location that anyone can find that would warrant a second look?

If this is a artist installation then that is cool, but why there?

I want to know the "why".

Could be a hidden cavern in those walls too, any of the rocks could be hiding one.
Great place for a sacrifice at the rare Blue Moon on Halloween.

Of course it's man made. The mountain goats don't have the necessary tools.

Excellent Post!

And like many have pointed out---a welcome change from what this site has been for most of the past couple of years!

Its a art exhibit. And one that accomplished its goal in spades I'd say

Valid question.

Nothing jumps out at me about the lat/long coordinates.

I calculated the antipode (exact opposite side of the planet) of those lat/long coords and it lands in the Southern Ocean about 500nm north of the remotest island on Earth, Kerguelen Island (FWIW), but it's not directly on the island.

Just for grins I checked the lat long for the Space Cemetary, but that's clear over between Australia and South America.

This is probably way "out there", but here is one thing which is kind of interesting...

The antipode for this location is in almost the exact location were some of the wreckage from MAS 370 was found, off the coast of Madagascar.

Weird, huh?

Absolutely. It's presence apparently...apparent.

Wouldn't it be great...if it is...what it appears?

It would be cool if this really was something truly mysterious, likely though it is just as others have pointed out an art installation and one likely either placed by air using a helicopter or one that was assembled on site.

The image seems to show possible screw or rivet holes along the sides of the face so probably assembled on site and brought in pieces.

It's cool but once it loses it's mystery it will also lose most of it's appeal.

I wonder if something is buried under it or if it could be part of a treasure hunt something like that, I hate to see people destroy it but unless it is watched that is exactly what will happen now as curiosity get's the better of some people, I mean if some idiot's (or perhaps well intentioned since they may have thought it was dangerous and just wanted to alleviate that danger) will push a rock over that has been standing on edge for as long as anyone can remember how long will this far when hikers find out were it is and make a beeline for it and one of them just decides to dig around the base to see if there is anything down there.

So enjoy it while it last's.

Some would steal it for the scrap value of the metal but perhaps that is more likely in far more poor nations than the US.

One word, Banksy.

Banksy or some other wannabe Banksy, or Aliens, maybe even Alien Banksy.

Seriously though, it’s a real cool mystery as to its origins, and I look forward to someone stepping forward to confess or someone solving it.

Someone has just had off with a bike that was part of Banksy's hula hoop girl.

Someone has replaced it but the new bike has a straight front wheel so I expect that to go fast.

Banksy is over rated but still good.

Okay, now it's getting downright spooky! I think I'm going to stop looking into this now!

Turns out the absolute maximum range for MH 370 strikes an arc which crosses exactly (and I mean precisely) with the antipode of this location. So what could this mean? Well...

It has long been theorized that the search location for MH 370 was all wrong, and that it flew more east than south. The only major wreckage ever located from MH 370 was off the coast of Madagascar. People have long questioned why they didn't search where the wreckage was found, and the answer was their predictions showed it most likely elsewhere. The antipode of this location is exactly at the furthest possible point MH 370 could have flown...much as the search area is at the max distance radius, but to the south, south of Australia. But no wreckage was ever found there.

---Tin foil hat time---

What if...MH 370 didn't fly south, but instead flew south west...toward Madagascar

---Extra Tin foil reinforcement time---

AND, what if someone knew where MH 370 really did go (because it was hijacked as I've long suspected)? And they knew were it crashed. And...the same person erected a monument on the exact opposite side of the planet as some kind of a clue.

---Wow, that's a LOT of tin foil, right?---

Then imagine the trouble putting this thing up. Someone had to lug that to that remote place. Why?

To be seen? Well if it's so remote why put it there?

I guess with planning it could be done but the fact that it is so remote raises questions

If this sheep hunt didn’t happen it's possible this thing never would have seen.
