I'll need more diesel fuel than gasoline. The Jeep gets loaded on the trailer and hauled to the location on my goosneck flatbed.
Just mapped it out. It's about 7 hours from here to Moab, and this location is about 17 miles south of Moab, as the crow flies. I'd have to look closer at how many road miles it is, probably 4x-5x times that many. Some pretty rugged terrain between Moab and this location. Plus, looks like two mountains to cross, and a big valley to get across, along with several sizable river crossings which could take some time to figure out. When I went through here before we came from the south, but that's a LOT further (like days further).
I'd also need at least one other Jeep. You don't go out in these areas with just one vehicle, that's suicide in the desert. Anybody else got a Jeep or hard-core 4x4 (built out Taco's, etc.) want to go? I can get (2) Jeeps on my trailer if you can make it to CO. You'll need a SWB and a winch, straps with hardware, traction boards and an air compressor. Probably be well served if you can unpin your sway bars also, not mandatory, but it will help keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down. Roll cage for sure! Oh, and a shovel.
I hope it's space peanuts

They say it is 12 feet or so out of the ground. I would love to find out how much is below ground.

I did. And I am. And I hold my opinion until proven wrong.
In movies? They walk around, touch, exclaim. Like Star Wars....you don't think the Millennium Falcon is real because they walked around, touched it....
You just presented that as acceptable criteria...or....just like in the movies. Right?

Well it was not there 8/17/2015 and it appears in the 10/20/2016 shot on Google Earth Pro Desktop version. I'm sure it's just a perspective thing but that looks like it is on a flat top area not down in a canyon to me. But definitely something there. Also the ground around it looks way different also. All pitted and hard looking before and smooth after so /shrug
Very cool whoever put it there
