Wow this is pretty sad... Michigan.gov clearly lists out their protocols, debunks all this alt right protesting...Use your phone and google yourself "Michigan buy" fertilizer or paint or whatever you think they banned because there are plenty of places operating. It's 12:30am right now so they're closed but most of them open tomorrow at 8am.

We know what side you're on just based on your "alt right" comment. It has nothing to do with political party in our case, it has everything to do with the governor's political stance because she's pissed at Trump and is punishing us for it. And again, if you don't live in an area with a hardware store, mom & paint shop or grocery store like me, it is a hassle trying to find one that's open.

The small protests that have happened in Huntington Beach, Michigan, New Hampshire, and Austin were all alt right.

Oh no, a hassle?! Jeeze, I'm sorry for your hassle.

Michigan put in the same policies as everywhere else that has way less covid19 cases and deaths.

Michigan is 5th in cases, and 3rd in deaths.

I can envision a police-state mentality denying care to people that actually want their freedom and liberties.

It'll probably become a reality in time.

The nazi-authoritarian leftists in charge are probably working on it as we speak.

I say we should just open the country and let it do what it is going to do. Quarantine may be an effective strategy to deal with the Coronavirus but it only strengthens the Moron virus.

I saw a pic of a protester in a crowd with a sign and no mask that said "Give me freedom or give me Corona." Never mind that person was doing whatever they felt like doing then and there that's not the point.

Point is quarantine only works if everyone follows it. The ignorant and arrogant who refuse to self-quarantine or even take basic precautions will assure that the virus keeps spreading. It only takes one idiot or one person who wants to see it all burn to spread that sh!t all over again if infections drop. We can't stop that kind of thing so it is time to throw up the white flag and surrender this war is lost. At least we can get people back to work. Yeah, there will be casualties but that is the price we have to pay.

No, they're full of crap and dont actually care about anyone's freedoms but their own. They dont care if they infect you. It's their right to see a sports game, or drink a beer. Your right to survive is secondary, and only useful if it supports their argument. I say, we get a petition going to end the quarantine now. If you sign it, you wont be admitted to any hospitals for corona. If you lie to get admitted, once diagnosed you will be dumped on the street.

Question for the folks arguing in favor of continuing the lockdown, what drives your trust in the federal, state, and local govts that any powers they took will be given back in its entirety?

Genuinely curious, cause my life experience has been once the govt snatches power they never give it up or at best give a tiny bit back and protest that was all they took.

Take the Detroit area out of the numbers and we are way in the bottom half. The UP is a whole different place. We can't have our lawn mowed but can get fined for it not being mowed how stupid is that

OH, does that offend you?

They can have all the differing views they want. I am fine with their views. It is their idiotic actions that make them idiots and morons. The ignorant are just ignorant. If they don't know any better that is ignorant.

If they had distanced or simply covered their face with a mask or scarf then at least they tried to mitigate the danger, but they didn't. To be clear I am calling out the ones who are ignoring every precaution.

Those people make everyone sick and that's not in a metaphorical sense.

So we can get an aspirin if we denounce the Constitution.

Yeah, people seem to think any state's biggest city represents everywhere in the state.

It doesn't, but try getting it through thick skulls.

As to the mowing, I'm betting people start saying "Bring it, woman" and start easing back into work this week statewide. We've already spotted a few landscapers at homes and businesses here and in other neighborhoods the other day, and the kids and I spotted a roofing crew putting a new roof on a house today. Now, to be fair, I'm not entirely sure if that's prohibited or not under Governor Control Freak's muddled, contradictory orders, but judging by the jumpy demeanor before we smiled & waved & they relaxed, it probably isn't Whitmer-sanctioned.

Its aight man there's plenty who read the cliques garbage and feel the same. Don't let their dismissive name calling get to you. They take all the keywords and use them although they, themselves, don't actually possess any of what they call out others for. Took me a few days to see what was going on, but you'll see the pattern soon enough.

Knowing how insurance companies work, if anyone who attended does unfortunatly become infected I am sure they will have some form of investigation and if they are seen to have attended I doubt the insurance company will payout, its all about the $$$ not medicine for those companies.

that's a very good question.

It's already a catastrophe for small business'es that operate close to the edge.

A good friend of mine has already lost his bookstore that he owned and ran for over 40 years. (((poof))) gone.

From mid-March:

Dr. Fauci On Coronavirus: If People Think We're Overreacting, That Means We're Doing It Right

If we think we overreacted to coronavirus, it will mean we did the right thing

If the measures we're taking to fight the coronavirus work, they'll look excessive later on. But the alternative is worse.

This was the plan. To have nothing happen. That's why we're sheltering-in-place, staying at home and social distancing. So that nothing will happen. Now that nothing is happening (as was intended the whole time!) people are freaking out about rights?

Edit:
I don't mean to say 'nothing' is happening. People are still getting sick and still dying. As most people are, so long as it's not happening to them then it's not happening. That's the problem with the protests, people are dying but they don't care because they don't know those people.

Hard to tell the main group we're in their vehicles, the other 2 groups on the lawn and steps for whatever they were protesting you will have to check with them too
