hear [ UK ] - all england and wales ambulance trusts are now using a N19COVID script - to asses all 999 calls [ emergencies ]

ie - is the patient symptomatic , in quarrantine , recent travel etc etc

there is an unstated implication - that this could impact response times [ due to the need to emply extra PPE // protocols for calls that are flagged

WAIT A MINUTE. They are closing bars. Keeping us from assembling, ahem the revolution was created by men drinking and saying we need to have a tea party.

I am very, very, suspicious of them closing bars.... I am wondering if something sinister, is brewing. I see the economy on life support this week, and the markets getting their teeth kicked in. All hands on deck with updates guys.

Yes indeed...Colleges closing, young aggressive adults will be milking around looking for something to do. No sports no bars....I call riots starting early next week.

The coronavirus’ impact on China’s economy was made plain in new numbers released on Monday, which showed a dramatic collapse across the board. Amid a widespread shutdown of manufacturing operations, industrial production – a measure of manufacturing, mining and utilities activity – declined by 13.5 per cent over the first two months of the year, combined data for January and February showed. This was the first decline on record, although ordinarily the data is released monthly. But the numbers were well below expectations of a 3.0 per cent decline. Retail sales, a key metric of consumption in the world’s second largest economy, fell by 20.5 per cent, again the first decline on record. This was well below the median forecast of a group of analysts, conducted by Bloomberg, which predicted a 4.0 per cent contraction.

Expect domestic violence to increase dramatically, suicides to inch upward, alcohol use to increase. Not good on the home front for many people especially since children will have no means to escape it. More children will be removed from the homes during this time. Not a good time for some innocent victims.

Agoraphobia could save a life.

I started avoiding crowds when concerts got stupidly big. Last one was the Stones in '97.

Same here! Monsters of Rock gig in Donington Park (UK) 1988 was the last major outdoor concert for me... Two deaths really dampened spirits, even if Iron Maiden were glorious at the end.

Monsters of Rock... yep I went in Tampa Fl.

Did a Few more concerts after that but around 35 (im 47 now) my joy with crowds over about 10 has shrunk dramatically.

This thing is getting weird, I'm from Argentina and things are starting to happen here too. The funny thing is that last year, around august 2019 I travelled trough China for a couple of months, I was bitten by something while Hiking on yangshuo mountains , long story short I spent 3 weeks wondering around different hospitals in China getting different shots (even rabies) and feeling all kind of symptoms (some real and some probably from panic ) it was an adventure, and I was lucky to survive but... it made me "live" the chinese health system. Although highly improbable and different from what is happening I still fantasize on being patient zero.

Welp, the airports I went to today were still busy. Looked fairly normal. My flight had roughly 100 empty seats. Maybe half full being optimistic
The Las Vegas strip is still packed
However, all 13 MGM properties (casino and hotel) will be closing Tuesday Mar 17th indefinitely. Earliest reservations are open May 1st but that’s still tentative

Arizona governor closed all schools for 2 weeks and banned mass gatherings

Hey guys. New Update from Chile and the region:

Chile now has 75 Confirmed cases. +14 from yesterday. All of the new cases were detected in the capital. Source in english, google translate

If you read my yesterday's post, you'll know our government refused to suspend schools. And that some mayors and universities took matters into their own hands and disregarded the government (2nd time mayors ignore the government since October 2019). Well, more mayors and universities started to ignore the government. In the end they FORCED the government to announce a national suspension of schools. Also new measurements were taken and the previous are now more strict, i.e. now a maximum of 200 persons meetings are allowed instead of 500. Still no closing of borders. Source in english, Google Translate

Today, after the government announced this, people started to "panic buying". One supermarket even closed early because they sold everything that was in the shelves. (This was told by my sister that went shopping and saw the supermarket closed, she asked and got that answer). Like in other countries, the TP was sold out. Source and Some pictures at link

The Region:

Paraguay has partially closed it's border and the government is evaluating to implement curfew. This is because there are people that aren't respecting the quarantine and measurements the government has implemented. Source in spanish and Source in spanishGoogle Translate doesn't work with the website. Sorry.

Ecuador has 2 deaths Source in spanish. They completely closed their borders (sea, land (partial) and air) for 21 days. Only cargo planes and ships are allowed in. However, exiting Ecuador is allowed. If someone wants to go the Galapagos Islands, they have to complete a special quarantine. Source in english, google translate

Colombia was explained by another user post here

Panama has closed it's borders (sea, land and air), only citizens are allowed in. They are evaluating the possibility of quarantine. It depends on how the situation evolves. Government also order closure of entertainment venues and shops. They have 55 cases and 1 death. Source in english, google translate

Venezuela declared 7 states under "collective social quarantine". They have now 17 confirmed cases. Source in english, Google Translate

Things are moving fast in this part of the world. A lot of people that are misinformed are just starting to realize what is happening. They were caught off guard. Some are still saying "it's just the flu" or "the flu kills more", "it's just a false flag by governments", etc.

Finally, I'd like to repeat a thank you to all that have kept updating the threads. Being informed and "ahead of the curve" really avoids fear/panic. Thank you

does anyone have any info about reinfectivity rates, and/or interstate travel bans?

the re-infective rate at the moment is not known. Japan from the outside world may have the true figure on that . I'll have to make some investigations on it. I'm sure I can do it, might be in Japanese though. But its better then figures thrown in the air. Hold on. be back in about 10 minutes. Hope I can help you and everyone on this.

HYPOTHETICAL:

If this all gets really, really bad stock market and bank wise, what do you think will happen?

I.e. they all crash and are worthless - green paper is no more valuable than toilet paper unless we agree it is.

I know Gold and silver are supposed to be stores of value, but realistically - if HYPOTHETICALLY it got to the point where there was no food and you had a tin of baked beans.

Would you swap your beans for a pile of gold or silver?

Cryptocurrecies have got to be even less than useless.

Maybe skills (medical, electrical, mechanical, etc) will be worth more than gold?

Food will be the new currency?

Could be! Depends on whether this is THE time, or not. Revelation 6:5-6

And when the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” Then I looked and saw a black horse, and its rider held in his hand a pair of scales. 6And I heard what sounded like a voice from among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not waste the oil and wine.

we are all going back in time now,

Back to the last recession you mean?

I think that's highly likely.

if you see my bamboo shoots now, I don't think you'll want to knock down my door or windows.

yes, but I don't think the bread lines will be so friendly
here we see chinese fighting old ladies to steal their mask that they just bought
of course, they got their assess kick and bones broke, guess what, no one called the ambulance for them
they were just left on the ground
thats all i know about that
it was on tv here

You can make fairly effective pugil sticks out ot a length of PVC pipe and a roll of toilet paper on each end..

Australian Update

We are now at 298

That's a rise of just less than 50 since yesterday. Only 6 of these additional cases are by known transmission. Everybody else has arrived from overseas.

Yet we are apparently in a crisis.
