This is why we have to start demanding that industries return to the US and other countries.
Yeah.
But I think the real trick will be in getting consumers to pay more for those products.
That's a problem, competition.

interleukin-6 (IL-6) was strongly associated with the need for mechanical ventilation (p=1.2·10-5).
In addition, the maximal IL-6 level (cutoff 80 pg/ml) for each patient during disease predicted
respiratory failure with high accuracy (p=1.7·10-8, AUC=0.98). The risk of respiratory failure for
patients with IL-6 levels of ≥ 80pg /ml was 22 times higher compared to patients with lower IL6 levels.
Tocilizumab, a drug which inhibits the interleukin-6 receptor, has been studied as a therapeutic helper in a variety of chronic inflammatory disorders
Recent research has shown that severe cases of COVID-19 show an excessive immune response and a strong cytokine storm, which may include high levels of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GSF) and interleukin-6 (IL-6). Following up on that research, investigators from China reported the first case of COVID-19 in a patient with multiple myeloma (MM) who was successfully treated with the humanized anti–IL-6 receptor antibody tocilizumab (an off-label use in the United States)

This comes as France's death toll from the new coronavirus infection has exceeded 12,000, according to the country's health ministry.
Fifty COVID-19 cases have been registered on board France's Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, the country's defence ministry said.
"The tests confirm 50 COVID-19 cases on board. Three sailors have been evacuated on an aircraft, to be taken to a hospital in France," the French Defense Ministry said in a communique.
Tests have been conducted over suspicions that 40 crew members could be infected.
The aircraft carrier is on the way to its home port in Toulon, the ministry added.
On 9 April, the French health ministry confirmed that the death toll from the new coronavirus in the country stood at 12,210

As health officials around the world push to get more ventilators to treat coronavirus patients, some doctors are moving away from using the breathing machines when they can.
The reason: Some hospitals have reported unusually high death rates for coronavirus patients on ventilators, and some doctors worry that the machines could be harming certain patients.
The evolving treatments highlight the fact that doctors are still learning the best way to manage a virus that emerged only months ago. They are relying on anecdotal, real-time data amid a crush of patients and shortages of basic supplies.
Mechanical ventilators push oxygen into patients whose lungs are failing. Using the machines involves sedating a patient and sticking a tube into the throat. Deaths in such sick patients are common, no matter the reason they need the breathing help.

During today's US Press Conference, Dr. Brix said by statistical sampling, 20% to 22% of US pop is or has been infected with CV19. But noted that some rural areas may only have it 10%.
I imagine the doubling time is now lower than 2.7 days.
Fifty crew members aboard France's sole aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gaulle, have tested positive for the new coronavirus, putting parts of the ship into lockdown.
Three sailors had been evacuated by air to a military hospital in Toulon, southern France, the home port of the carrier, a ministry statement said.
A team equipped to carry out tests for coronavirus infection boarded the vessel just after the armed forces ministry had reported signs of COVID-19 symptoms among 40 crew members.
"The results of 66 tests showed 50 cases of COVID-19 aboard the Charles de Gaulle. There is no deterioration of the sailors' medical condition at this stage," the ministry said.

US-Mexico border: Thousands of migrants expelled under coronavirus powers
The US has expelled more than 6,300 undocumented migrants on its Mexico border using emergency powers to curb coronavirus spread, officials say.
The 21 March public health measure lets officials override immigration laws, expediting removal processes.
Critics say the order is being used as an extension of strict immigration policies.
Meanwhile, the number of illegal border crossings has fallen amid travel restrictions across the region.
The emergency public health order issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) bans the entry of foreigners considered to pose a "serious danger" to the spread of communicable disease.
The measure, initially in place for 30 days, was necessary to limit the spread of the disease in crowded places such as border patrol stations or ports of entry, said CDC Director Dr Robert R Redfield. The US has the world's highest number of confirmed infections - more than 460,000 - and nearly 16,500 deaths.

Looks like the prisons are starting to collapse to the virus:

An inmate at California State Prison says he is scared of getting coronavirus. 04:45
(CNN)In the United States, the largest known concentration of coronavirus cases outside of hospitals isn't on a cruise ship or in a nursing home. It's at a jail in Chicago.
At least 276 detainees and 172 staff members -- mostly correctional deputies -- at Cook County Jail have tested positive for coronavirus, the county sheriff's office said Wednesday. Two detainees who tested positive for the virus have died as of Thursday, and more than 20 detainees are hospitalized.
Across the country, prisons and jails have become hotbeds for coronavirus. Close confinement is likely fueling the spread.
"Jails in this country are petri dishes," said Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Board president. "It's very difficult in a jail to maintain social distancing."
But this isn't just a major health problem. It's also a growing safety concern.
That is one of the most likely options, the natural angle doesn't cut it from any angle and when you have secrecy, misinformation, no information, no consideration, lies and too many coincidences and failed to take urgent steps to protect those beyond your borders then you are guilty of global genocide whether the cause was accidental or not! This is why I named the virus "The Chrojan Virus".

Right, that's why it comes back to my belief that all the "wet market" is is just a fall guy for the bio-lab. They were messing around with something, it got away from them and here we are. They blame the wet market and hope enough people believe the bs story to get the light off them.
