Like I said in the previous post many of the tourist spots are shut down to include Bangkok which closed just about everything except grocery stores and malls. Millions can not work so instead of starving they are returning to family who live outside the shuttered areas. I expect the reported infected to really start to increase all over the place.. We just had three cases reported in my part of the country. Governor told everyone to shut their businesses except for the Mall and major grocery stores. They even shut down my 5 local golf courses "Mayday Mayday !"

I really do worry about all the people who already lived day to day on their meager earnings who will now have absolutely nothing as far as money to survive on.

Thailand has recorded four death since the outbreak while 70 patients have recovered and gone home. 860 patients are still being treated in hospitals.

Everything is now just about shut down. A few places have carry out for food but store front businesses are shuttered.

This country no matter where you drive there will be someone along the side of the road selling Charcoal cooked meats or fruits and vegetables ... I have never gotten sick eating that food.. Although I have spent 2 days in the hospital from having Dairy Queen ice cream that was dispensed out of a dirty or not cleaned machine.. so go figure ?

All the road venders I have seen are now wearing mask... Looks like stuff will be shut down for at least 30 days...?

A friend told me today we now have 4 cases in our town so the fear factor for many has been retched up...

Look at those numbers, 4 dead ok that's not bad , 70 recovered that's great, but wtf 860 still in hospital, seriously are you saying that of all patients tested positive they've all required ongoing hospital treatment...

After my American wife of 25 years died I messed about in the states for a couple of years and to be honest my life was better than maybe it should have been....but without my wife I was just passing time...

I had promised myself back in the 70s one day I would return to Thailand.. I still spoke passable Thai so for the next couple of years I would come to Thailand every 3 or 4 months for 30 days where I played golf and had a great time ....THEN>>>> I was introduced to my present wife... I had not planned on getting married but stuff happens.. We were married in the states and lived there but one day I had to ask myself why ?? $12,000 a year in insurance and home taxes not to mention medical cost if you get sick I decided to sell everything in the states and made the move. I have never regretted the decision and am very settled and happy where we live..

I will be glad when things go back to normal as I am having golf withdrawal symptoms.. Golf is my exercise as I do something golf related every day .... My main problem is my wife is starting to beat me occasionally.. She has 6 trophies from tournaments and is presently a 4 to 6 handicap depending on the course and the tournament sponsors. Life is not fair as I am the one who taught her !

I'm posting that to now show you about what I called "street talk" about Tokyo and other major cities.

small update : 7:30 pm March 25, 2020 Wednesday

1. Now 40 new cases in Tokyo ( just in 2 days it doubled )
2. 44 new cases of infection today
3. There are least as of now almost 1300 cases of infection ( this could easily triple by this Saturday )
4. The 40 new cases probably will be "clusters" now (maybe impossible to follow up on ) and it will multiply and spread

ex. for Tokyo
Monday 16 cases
Tuesday 17 cases ( a bit hard to believe , but what the heck )
Wednesday (today) and its not over yet, ambulances are on the alert 40 cases

see how it starts off and grows and then like I mentioned ( it will explode to the point of New York or even New Orleans)
