Yep, and I said before the cops are doing a massive blitz , saliva swabs tests and breath tests, it's madness.

The schools remaining open is an issue for me, I have a 10 year old. Two more weeks till school holidays, I think he might start his two weeks early.

Good to know that. Quad Cities is not too far from there.
Is there any panic buying in Illinois any where?

I live in North West Illinois about 45 minutes from the Quad Cities. There certainly was at our local Walmart today. It sounded chaotic, a family member of mine is an employee there. People rushed all the toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Most but not all of the canned goods are gone. So is alot of pet food. Also people were going around and stealing all the hand sanitizer that they have out on display for the customers to use.

My fiances parents live in the suburbs. They went out today and we're able to get everything they need but they had to go to three different stores in order to do it

New 10 minute test to see if you have the antibodies -- well if you don't included the 3 day wait to create enough of the anti-bodies to be tested.

www.youtube.com...

Big question is how many places can manufacture this new 10 minute test? And how much for the patent or can the governments just take and pass it around to everywhere free?

OR why hasn't the manufacture given it out FREE to be manufactured around the world? -- Bloodsuckers or business people?

Bolivia Update

I noted a couple of days ago about the 2 cases in Bolivia and that it would be one to watch as a result of the climatic conditions there, vis a vis at altitude and really quite cool.....well.

They started off with 3 which were inbound travellers, now they have10. The additional 7 are local transfers, shIt.

Been seeing Covid-19 related problems at multiple construction sites in the US. SItes I know of with problems are Microsoft in WA, Boeing in Wa, vitrification plant in WA, Intel in Oregon, shell cracker in PA and plant Vogtle in GA. For reference Vogtle has roughly 11k workers on site.

Some measures being taken are reducing hours, reducing man power, spreading out break areas, providing hand sanitizer and wash stations as well as taking temps at the entrance gates. One site has said if there is a case work will be shut down for 30 days. I can't be anymore specific.

Example letter for confirmation.

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced that every person who enters the country will now be required to enter self-isolation for 14 days.

“I make no apologies,” she said at a press conference on Saturday afternoon.

“New Zealand will have the widest-ranging and toughest border restrictions of anyone in the world.”

New Zealand has taken drastic measures. Well done, better late than never.

I just wanted to post this so people understood the concept of waves during the pandemic, as occured in 1918-19.

China is allowing people back to the workforce because it believes its contained the virus. I think this will mean a larger than normal 2nd wave for them

I should keep my mouth shut, but this thread is why i see this future in US. Only telling you part of it. Read between the lines.

Friday shutdown kicked off panic shopping at 1%. Infected will ramp up infections that will start getting sick Wed-Fri.

Now that shutdowns started, want to ramp up to 95% of hospital capacity ASAP, then hold at 95%.

So, need additonal panic late next week to slow infection spread, to hold down to 95%. Following Monday, some of yesterday infections start dying, use to reinforce panic self isolation to slow infection rate to 95% rate for 3 weeks.

Then, give the all clear, keep the hospital capacity up at 95% as long as possible. Get this over ASAP, restart economy.

Thus, minimize total societal impact.

This (second wave) is very important to understand and a likely scenario. And secondly, the CCP isn't really allowing people back to work so much as demanding it. They are no more confident they have beat it than we are. They just know their whole social order and the existence of the CCP depends on looking strong internally and externally.

Detailed Covid Map

Just take a look at the "official" case numbers (cough -- lies) still active in all of those cities and it should be clear that sending everyone out isn't going to miraculously avoid a second wave.

I think they are just attempting to "ignore" it and deal with the deaths as if they are normal and tell people to shut their mouths or face jail as usual.

As I said before, the focus will return to China and the CCP. Our toilet paper situation is just a distraction from where thing will really unfold.

Was just listening to Trump announcing a national emergency and one thing that did strike me was the term he used to describe the virus. Almost everyone I have heard speak about this has referred to it as a virus, but Trump (who I happen to like!) used the term disease which suggests to me that is deliberate to infer that it is natural. I get the feeling he knows that it is not and that it is a BW and knows full well it is!

What I don't know is, who's is it?

Be safe

To be even clearer, COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)

It is just that it is already confusing enough with names and COVID-19 seems to be the common way to reference.
