I've tried to stay with fairly accurate updates. Other then Hokkaido (which I don't have current update on a possible shutdown) I go based upon what is usually posted here on the forum. In my mind its not totally BS at all. And I try my best to stay away from doom and gloom. Don't want to get a headache .

Thats what I'm afraid of, people jokingly say it's madness and I'm thinking "not yet"...

I fear its going to get worse, reports of thieves stealing peoples chickens over here in the UK now, I can see mass riots happening when the SHTF properly

Logically at least in my mind the goverments are doing their job to keep continuity of commerce, so it makes sense some would say yep it's all good back to work preemptively.

Our German members deboarcher...(sorry for bad spelling) summed up nicely how in where he is it's ok to go to work and spread germs between 6am and 6pm but once home You're under strict quarantine, the old the show must go on, at the expense of those of us that make up the cogs in the wheel.

Don't believe the mouthpieces or the stooges that act as leaders.

They have been very calm, and stayed at home, and self isolated, and self distanced, as far as I know.
Its an island (Hokkaido), also, which helps for self-quarantine purposes.

edit : Not sure about the rest of Japan though.

Thanks, its funny I rarely go to Japan Times for information. I do think the governor is a bit too green to handle this situation though. Personally speaking, it is school break now, people that can are wearing mask, 1000's of people are working from home. Train volume of passengers are down. Planes from the latest is slow, more people are going by shinkansen. I think he has to wait till PM Abe get the info of business outlook by the community that was held today. I don't know when the report will be in. Many foreigners go to Hokkaido so I think the economy in many areas are not doing so well. Personally, people are not traveling much. I just posted about our town travel agency closing its doors.

that's the shoe I have been waiting on, IF it takes off in India what kinda damage will they see, I dont know enough about the country to know if the shows and such that go there are showing the over all reality or do they just focus on the worst parts.
