People aren't isolating themselves, in a pharmacy yesterday I was talking to the owner about this virus, and a lady comes in joins the conversation and when I mentioned people that are sick aren't self isolating she informed us she was supposed to be and wasn't...

To be fair, ALL high-quality face masks should be reserved for the Medical teams that move and treat the infected/possibly infected.
They are the ones helping us to eradicate this problem, and the ones most in need.
If they fail, we all fail.

The only reason you should be wearing a mask right now, is if you feel you are infected, and may infect others.

Its doom porn, but if we don't help the Medical Community, they'll never manage.
Right now, these people should be treated as GODS and GODESSES (and should be anyway, because they dedicate their working lives to keeping our lives 'normal' and safe.)

on MARCH 10th, 4,567 new cases were recorded worldwide. Self isolation was already being practiced by a few.
Ten days later, on MARCH 20th, the USA alone is reporting +5,087 new cases (worldwide today, +29,269 new cases reported).

This s#it is moving sooo fast.

We don't know all the infection vectors yet.
We don't know if you get immunity after infection, yet.

Im a realtor in S Florida. I work with people from all over the US. Here are some interesting bits of info I have learned.

1. Broker friend of mine who works in Manhattan told me a Doctor client of his in NYC said as of today that they are running out of ventilators, Critically Ill patients who are young are coming in too, Doctors are rationing PPE equipment. The Doctor said "this is just the beginning"

2. Have client in Long Island who couldnt even wire money cause their bank was closed (This was yesterday) Same client told me in eastern Long Island a cook was determined to have infected 20-30 people in his area and he had no symptoms.

3. Two separate sources who know people with FEMA said that FEMA, National Guard, Military, and 1st responders are prepping for Nation wide shut down of the US in 48-72 hours.

4. Board member for a local hospital who is more a consultant then a Doctor had a board meeting several days ago and from that meeting he said he is self quarantining from what he heard. (we have a handful of confirmed cases in the general area of over a million people)

4. Florida now has a Covid 19 Addendum specifically for Real Estate Transactions impacted by the virus.

Just bits and pieces I know but add it to everything else we are hearing the next month will be surreal.

Personally I have shut down my business for now oddly there are still a bunch of open houses scheduled for this weekend.

I am giving it a bit of leeway, not that it really needs it. Not many days before it’s 100k a day. Seems obvious now that most steps taken have been too late and too hesitant.

~ This place is about an hour from my house I have been there many times, its an indoor fleamarket. [ this place is filthy at the best of times] This boggles my mind that this place will still be open this weekend when all the stores and malls will be close in the surrounding towns of Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge. As if praying is going to make the virus go away ...geeeze Pray by all means but what makes these flea market people think that going and looking at nick nacks and do dads is essential?

Any state that still has schools open are idiotic .

It’s going to affect the state economy and work force more when the kids get it at school and all take it home to their families .

Wisconsin passed free daycare for essential workers in the state. I hope more states do such things but in such times , I don’t want anyone watching my kids besides their mom or I .

I have been here since the first thread.....but I see plenty of scare stories and posts that are designed to cause gossip and confusion creeping in. Probably russian trolls or general d**ks. We do need to keep this thing on track and deny the spammers air as it is so helpful!
