So random, i went looking and clicked on a few cameras and one gave me this message

An agency or force has taken over the operational use of this camera
and not available for public viewing.

I have taken a screenshot and uploaded to my ATS but when i click on the 'upload' button within the post i can't see any images, just a X . So cant upload right now, but it was this camera;

When you click the clickable "why?" it takes you to this explanation:

Camera Status

From time to time you may see a camera displaying a "Camera in operational use" message. This message occurs when an Agency or Force take manual control of the camera. This is to avoid images of incidents being available to the public and also to prevent identifiable marks (such as vehicle registrations) from being shown during the time of an incident. In some instances a number of cameras may be taken offline near the scene of an incident.

You beat me to it!
It's probably just an accident.

Is there enough military in the UK to lock down London?
What size US city would it be equivalent to?

Yeah I keep hearing rumours on Twitter and Facebook. I saw some fake bits and bobs but have kept looking today for info.
Came across a few bits and bobs:

Guy called Jason Nota says he has been told troops are leaving from Catterick Barracks now
www.facebook.com...
(cant figure out how to link the video)
Not sure how credible it is but has a lot of views, over 740,000

Sources tell me that troops are being embolised from Catterick Barracks ready for a 15 day lockdown which will be announced tomorrow....

Yes. Soldiers being deployed as we speak. Must say I'm not a fan

I’ve got mates in the Army and they are preparing to deployed into cities this weekend #coronavirus #Army

What does troops being 'embolised ' mean?? That's a medical condition surely? Presume he means mobilised. Atm it's friend of a friend and random blokes on Facebook/Twitter but so far everything I've heard on here as happened.

Problem is if it is only London area and people hear about it we will have a Lombardy situation where everyone flees to their country residence...

I think most people who had sense have already left London if they could
I don't think they will 'lock' London down per se, but more like shops, bars etc will all close down
no one allowed out unless essential for supermarket/pharmacy
just like France, Spain, Italy etc
It won't be a ring of steel but maybe they will be patrolling a lot and also helping in hospitals, morgues, delivery assistance etc etc
And maybe UK wide with a focus on cities and urban zones and any trouble hotspots

You'd think hiding until a vaccine would be the only sensible option.

Maybe they know they can't make one?

If it's man made maybe they've built some kind of random mutation thing into it to make it impossible to stop.

Sorry, I am two days behind now.....

Anyway, has anyone successfully made a vaccine for SARS? How about HIV?

What makes anyone think they will be successful with this particular virus?

Our only option may be to literally hold our breath waiting.

heard a rumour going around in the UK the Army might have to be mobilised to help the police in some areas. People sharing pictures on social media of army movement, not sure how reliable they are.

Things are only getting better....

On the plus side petrol prices are apparently going down. That's something.

Great... just found out about 2 weeks ago I went to a doctors appointment during the UTA and the person I dealt with at the desk has since popped positive for the virus, about 10 days ago I got a pretty serious head cold.

I have gone to the store, seen my personal doctor and gone back to base in the time frame, welp snip I got to make phone calls in the AM now.

Most deliveries in the UK will now be no-contact delivery. They leave the package on the doorstep (or out of view) with a knock at door, card through the letterbox or text message (or all of the above) instead signing for it.

Which is fairly smart given the circumstances. Hope the drivers get some sort of compensation if it gets worse, but I doubt it.

Hey spartanwarrior:

what I mean there is that the government now decides what is essential production of essential goods. That may not seem like a lot on the face of it, but it really is. Consider, perhaps, rationing in WWII of sugar, chocolate, and perhaps now, even GAS, FUEL, especially if travel has then been relegated in most places to discretionary, then we gotta ask by whose discretion is my travel judged by.....just like by whose discretion are the most important goods to be stopped in production, and the most important goods to still be produced.....etc.

I already shook whatever it was and I am pretty certain it was just a head cold because I just took some day quil and that was it and I was fine, but I let a guy from the unit stay with me his daughter has CF and that's the one that scares me IF I was carrying he might have carried it to her because he also came in with a cold.

Just a thought, if our Army is super busy assisting civilian authorities and the NHS, and some may even go down with the virus, our economy is tanking and we are all in isolation etc etc
wouldn't that be the perfect time for an attack by someone/country? We (and many parts of the world) are weakened by this virus (or appear to be) and so it feels like someone (a country) could take advantage of that?
There's just such an uneasy feeling about this whole thing.

Also an update to not derail

Nah. Nobody would want this Island. It's cold and rains more often than it doesn't. That's why our empire included places like Bermuda, South Africa, Sri Lanka....

Yeah hopefully the now healthy man just had allergies, God forbid people start realizing that the vast majority who get this will shake it and call it a "bad cold" afterward.

Odds are that a head cold wasn't it. They say it mostly stays to your throat/chest. Runny nose is not a common symptom.

Update from MI.
We are over 100 cases, and have had our first death. A man in his 50's, that had underlying health issues.

Governor also said that she believed, "some other official" (can't remember their position, but in the health field) when they said we probably have over 1000 cases.

But they are hoping soon to be able to test 200 people a day. Hmmm...

Oh, and if anyone has a spare loaf of bread, I've got eggs to barter with. LOL No bread to be found.
