NC health dept over the weekend strongly suggested that people stay away from crowds at restaurants and bars. Since people didn't listen, the governor ordered them all closed today at 5PM.
This is a problem: people aren't listening. Pretty soon the whole country will be in lockdown because many citizens ignored the pleas to stop congregating and stay away from crowds.

In the absence of sufficient places in intensive care, caregivers in the areas most affected by the epidemic tell us that they have given up intubating 70-year-old patients, already sick.
Faced with the massive influx of patients in France, certain resuscitations, like many in the Grand-Est, are already saturated. Therefore the dreaded question arises: if we can not treat everyone, should we favor certain people? Delphine nods. “It's like in war medicine, you have to make choices. It will be based on age or health status. "
Those of you out there still not understanding what a pandemic means, read this story in France, (I even translated it for you) this is already happening they don’t have sufficient instruments to help everyone sick. Reminder, I am pretty sure none of us have lived thru a pandemic, I am sure the First thing coming to your mind about the flu vs a pandemic is wrong....
Coronavirus: "We will have to choose" between patients, admit caregivers
Deny ignorance.

We already know from statistics that only one half of 1% of everyone in the United States infected with coronavirus needs hospitalization.

I have a question, is it possible that this virus might be a binary biological weapon meant to weaken or change something so the next virus attack exploits that vulnerability created by the first virus and wipes us out? Then the selected survivors are given a vaccine for the second virus.
Has anyone thought of that?

So ... we'll leave them open, but you are not supposed to use them? How many people decided to go out and actually wanted to get into a crowd? I think it's a bit unfair to blame them.

Eh, the DEATH rate is higher than that (~4% in china and higher in Italy).

I don't know what the solution is but I'm on Nextdoor app and many people on there are saying "screw the rules" and purposely going out in groups.

How many Americans would need to contract coronavirus to swamp the 200,000 available ICU beds?
