Wisconsin schools are now closed indefinitely according to governor Evers. Originally he had closed them until April 6th but just changed that today.
If this isn't considered a COVID-19 update for the thread I apologize and mods please delete.

I hate to say it, but if everything keeps happening as they have its only a matter of time before the warehouses get closed unless something occurs to help them stay open and safe.

I'm sure you were lost long before then but at least you try to keep up. Bravo
I do find the hostile defence of Trump amusing. It's almost as if you are all whacko. I couldn't care less about Trump. Whoever has that position should be protecting their citizens, all of them. Even the ones who look Asian
The French (not the people) are just as bad, if not worse. Straight away they had some headline, something like the 'Yellow Peril". Oh but it all has to be about Trump to you! If you really can't see this is bigger than Trump, good luck to you.
But of course, I'm stupid. I'm just a scientist (well was, but once a scientist always a scientist). I have shared my knowledge of modelling and mathematics and general experience to help others gain a clearer idea of where this could go, good and bad and probable in order to prepare. I've also enjoyed the wealth of knowledge shared. I've also been a lecturer but I am not here to lecture, and I certainly don't have time for this nonsense.
I'm calling it a day here. The more I read here, the more I see good people treated badly, and poor examples of humanity shine through in all their murkiness. I'm not rooting for the virus or the other means about which this might cause destruction, but some of you are making that difficult.
Good luck to you all, and to humanity.

So "spanish flu" is ok but "chinese flu" isn't, got it. Makes sense.

NC health dept over the weekend strongly suggested that people stay away from crowds at restaurants and bars. Since people didn't listen, the governor ordered them all closed today at 5PM.

This is a problem: people aren't listening. Pretty soon the whole country will be in lockdown because many citizens ignored the pleas to stop congregating and stay away from crowds.
