Please read this:
1. old and weak , well... sorry I will not continue on this
2. to fight this virus after one has been hospitalize from it, the patient must "have " the will to keep a healthy diet" , if not, the virus will have the possibility of recurring (possibility is like 100%) It is now known to have the beginning stage of infection and then to a stage of transmissions to 3 more stages. Someone on the forum posted this but was laughed at (something like that)
3. numbers of infected may mean something to person here posting, but in reality it means nothing unless it is in your front yard now
4. Japanese now are saying " the world is in a mess". nice language , right!

There have been ample videos and clips of people collapsing and still moving in China too. Take for instance the one where the policeman at night collapses, and is helped by his fellows. He was volunteering as they were understaffed btw. Others include medical workers in full hazmat suits keeling over, but not dead.

I wasn’t mocking your post. But if this is from Iran, seems to me statue-licking and arson at the treatment facility for virus victims are more worrisome somehow than someone falling over.

I prefer not to watch any more. 2 months took its toll.
Heart-wrenching were the clips/audio of Chinese crematorium workers and civil servants overworked, understaffed, barely sleeping, and collapsing due to exhaustion. And/or the virus. Not sure which

How to post images & embed Youtube videos on ATS

Thank you. I followed your instructions and it seemed to upload the image but it doesn't seem to have worked. My uploaded images section is empty. I have built entire websites from scratch previously and can't get this to work for me.

If anyone can PM me an email address to send it to I'm happy to email it to someone else to upload.

Not sure if you've been answered on this yet, but images need to be less than 3MB.

Back to catching up.

I'll be out and doing a bit shopping so I'll probably see parking lots full. wonder what is left on the shelves by now

Bad news if this is true. Apparently the second coronavirus patient in Washington contracted it from the first patient in Washington. Back in January

Dr. Feigl-Ding

I've been following Dr Ding's posts from very early on with this. He has family in China that have been living through their lock downs, so he's very aware of the full scope of this virus

More pics of ppl apparently collapsed in iran. This is a mirror image of Wuhan. Multiple hospitals in iran are being emptied and made into coronavirus treatment facilities. What are the odds China and Iran are the hardest hit?

This isn't good:

SOURCE: www.jpost.com...

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) may have harmed the country's ability to track and detect the spread of the CORVID-19 disease due to a series of missteps, including refusing to use the tests recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), according to ProPublica.
As the virus began to spread, the CDC decided to start creating its own, more complicated test instead of using the test guidelines provided by the WHO. The test was made to check for a variety of different viruses. When the test was sent to labs across the country, it didn't work and falsely flagged the presence of other viruses in harmless samples.

So some of my liberal friends are posting on Facebook that the fatality rate of coronavirus virus is approximately 2-3% and that influenza is around 0.1%. Can anyone help me figure out if this is true or not? They usually post liberal BS from fake websites so I want to put them in their place if I can get something help.

You can google the flu stats and then go to any coronavirus stat site to get the current numbers and do the math. Your liberal friends are right. I've done this very thing.... unless you don't believe in math... they are right.

It's disingenuous to spread this as fact and is nothing more than fear mongering. There is no where near enough data yet to arrive at a realistic fatality rate. There are so many factors to take into consideration. If 2 people get the same virus and 1 of them dies is it logical to say the fatality rate of that virus is 50% ? No. That is illogical and you need a much larger data set.

Your comment is totally bonkers to me because... math? And the google-able stats? How am i disingenuous when I said to look up the math? Unless you are saying all numbers of the virus are false... in which case you should start your own thread. This isn't where your denial belongs. This is a discussion thread not a denial thread.

Seriously, it was obvious from the point vp pence was put in charge of filtering out the information provided by the experts.

Ummm yeah lol. But I was wondering if there’s any way to find out if it’s an actual letter and not just something someone typed up to spread panic.

Some of the things said in it don’t seem like things a doctor would put in a letter like that for his patients. The “who will man the crematorium” part seems like a strange thing to say..

There isn't as much concern that food is made or grown here, but there is a concern that businesses out of an abundance of caution or liability concerns, keep their workers home or people choose to stay at home. That includes food giants like Del Monte, Tyson chicken etc. .

There is in theory plenty of food, but there could be disruptions getting it to Wally world etc. Food that typically comes from South/Central America out-of-season, and other similar situations could be disrupted if travel, flight, and port restrictions are in place. There is a lot we take for granted.

Large groups of people do all of that work and if they are staying home en masse, it will have some impact. It isn't harvest season for most things here in the states, so at least there is that. While the disease itself may be more or less problematic, it isn't a simple problem in the big picture to quantify.

Where food is grown is not the issue. It is actually irrelevant. Unless it is grown and harvested right at the point of sale, someone has to harvest and transport it. If a pandemic is in full swing, how many truck drivers will be sick? How many other truck drivers will decide to just stay home to try to avoid getting sick? How many stock boys would not show up for work? How many cashiers will be staying home? Yes, food will still be grown here, but there is a good chance it might just rot in the fields because no one will harvest it, or rot in trucks with no one willing to deliver it all anywhere.

Then, of course, there is the issue of people preferring to not go into any area where there might have been an infected person an hour ago coughing, sneezing, and handling all the products right before you put your hands on them. The whole idea of preparation is to do so BEFORE you have to expose yourself to a highly contagious pathogen. Stocking up on food and paper items, and winding up bringing home the virus along with the groceries really isn't going to accomplish much for you, is it? Well, it will be helpful to everyone else because maybe you won't have to go out for groceries while you are sick and infectious. But is that really what you had in mind? By not stocking up beforehand, you run the risk of just running out of food, and putting yourself in the position of either starving, or running out to expose yourself to the contagion.

IMHO.

All data out of China is flat wrong. Underreported, manipulated, cooked, injected with reduction sauce and BBQ’d over an open flame.

As I said... follow South Korea and Italy if you want good numbers. I’d trust those more than even the US numbers in most cases like CA or WA.
