I saw one person the other day but I'm not in a tightly packed city. We have urban sprawl and people are too laid back here to be worried.

Well, we have to keep our wits about us, maybe he was. Worst case scenario, economy may collapse for a bit we might get sick and die from pneumonia, and Russia, or China may start a war taking advantage of everyone being sick. At the end of the day we can’t do anything about it, except for working on not getting sick the best we can.

Covid19info is now showing 206 confirmed for US. I think it has only been 3 days since we broke 100. Doubling every 3 days?

Haha! That's a hell of a scenario! I'm keeping my wits about me. Anxiety levels elevated. I don't want my husband to have to be separated from his kid (she's 5.5) and I don't want my kids (20 and 17) to have to live through some awful scenario so.... keeps me in a state of worry but for the most part I appear normal on the outside LOL (or at least my usual weird self).

Thanks for all the updates/info!

In SoCal (Orange County) and not much happening.

Have seen some masks and disinfectant wiping.
Sanitizers and TP are flying off shelves but nobody seems phased.
Anyone I speak to sings the whole "flu" denial song.
I have friends' photos of Costcos goin nuts but nothing Ive seen personally.

Have a newborn baby too so Im watching like a hawk.
My first trial as a parent is a global (Don't Call it a) Pandemic.

In the UK there are now 115 cases and 1 death
115 cases are a mix of home borne spread and imported cases
1 death was of a older person who had underlying health conditions.

UK is now in the second phase of its response to the coronavirus outbreak. This phase is dubbed the "Delay Phase"
This will affect:

Schools/Universities
Transport
Events

The numbers are expected to rise considering over the next few weeks.
The UK Phases are

“contain” and “delay” to “mitigate”.

an 85 bed facility? That would seem to indicate they expect the numbers to be fairly low.

Well the reality is, if your not over the age of 55, and have no pre existing health conditions, I think health wise you will be ok. It’s the baby boomer generation, we need to worry about at the moment. Roughly 74 million people. Again I don’t wanna get any people’s knickers in a bunch.

The English Football Association has said that pre-match handshakes between teams and officials will no longer take place to help mitigate the spread of the corona virus.

Don't see that doing much to stop the spread while having thousands of supporters in the grounds. Should just ban fans from gthe grounds until further notice.
