Hey 40CalTone: Just saying, in regards to this:

People are not changing plans for the most part. The numbers will continue to climb.

A declared state of emergency is most likely the beginning of martial law in whatever area, and restrictions of NDAA applied as well. So......people's plans will change. Most definitively.

How do CT's live in the modern world with logic like this ,"A declared state of emergency is most likely the beginning of Marital Law in whatever area"

Do you know how many times a state of emergency is declared for winter storms, tornado's, hurricanes, whatever.

Each time it's declared did Marital Law start?

Important concept spurred by a Shortbus post: if you take acid reducers, they refuce the acidity in your stomache. (Duh.)
But, that acidity is important to kill pathogens you ingest.
Found that out the hard way from all-inclusive-buffet at Mexican resort...
Have been wondering, if one nCov19 variant infects GI tract by ingestion, how it survives the acid in stomache.

Agreed. Except. Weather patterns and such dissipate.
This thing just mutated into a more virulent form.
Plus it’s just getting started. When shtf because of the herd mentality, the virus may be the least of our worries. Which coincides almost exactly with the reasons CDC and WHO have been draggin their feet with the diagnosis this is a pandemic.

It’s y’all I been relying on.

OK, so i'm off to bed.
The French Senate is starting a debate on something about the Coronavirus.
Olivier Veran calls for "Rigour and Transparency".
And he's right, we have some of the best Doctors and Services in the World.
"Everyone should feel concerned"

lucky them, hope they stay awake.

Doesn’t acidity relate to inflammation in the body as a correlation though?

Yes I do, actually, know and realize how many times it's been declared.
What's instructive to observe, as well, is in what particular circumstance it's deployed, meaning, in part, how long it will exist, and what other boundaries it will push back.

How do CTs live with our state of knowlege/and/or lack thereof: It's called "cognitive dissonance." The same as the word "conspiracy" intimates by the description of such a word, and laws to guard against it: It MUST exist, or there would not be a word, nor surely laws, to regard and treat it with consequence...... cognitive dissonance resonates and means the very same.

We all have particular circumstances and environments to survive. Being fully informationally prepared and engaging in discernment is all a GOOD thing.

I have a concern about my daily 20mg of Omepazole. I know to keep adding vitamins especially D and calcium, but not sure how it would play out in a viral situation. After 14 years of it I don’t feel I have a weaker immune system though, maybe a cold every two years.

Why do research scientists wear respirators in those level 4 biolabs?
To protect the patients I guess?

different kind of mask/and respirator, obviously.

the point is, the masks readily (or not so much currently) available to the general public won't protect the general public from anything, but from infecting others from what the mask wearer has.

tetra
ETA: Just another example of misinformation being spread with different degrees of accuracy. Miliatary grade respirators and masks are totally different than plain paper masks available to the genreal public.

All I can say is don’t be too surprised if you start seeing select schools in the US closing in the coming days/weeks. I don’t know all the specifics but NJIT is making preparations to go online due to their location. Whether it is just preparations or already in process I’m not sure. This info comes from a student. They seemed to be under the impression it was a done deal but without further confirmation I don’t want to make any concrete statements.

Aside from increased cleaning measures things are still normal. Some more chatter about it, people not wanting to shake hands etc. but. nothing too major.

Yeah, just wait till the aftermath of Spring Break. When they all return home, no telling how much "extra baggage" some of them will be bringing home with them. IMHO.

Of course, living in Florida, I also worry about any "extra baggage" some might be bringing down to the beach areas here. Panama City Beach is pretty popular and isn't all that far from me.

The world is just not prepared for this kind of thing. If this coronavirus mutates into having much larger teeth, no one will be worrying about over crowding again for a while.

Real preppers grow their own soybeans and ferment them themselves.

I’ll wear a N95 anyway.
And it won’t hurt you one bit.

Who knew the end of days could be so informative AND fun? I like you lj... soy sauce indeed!

Some of these comments (mine included) can be taken over to the General Discussion thread. Thanks again to the OPs of this and that. Take care of yourselves. I hear washing your hands is the only way to combat this scourge.
So get rid of your masks? Guess we unwashed ghoul masses just burn them like bras and books and liberate ourselves...

Hey great for you, butcherguy......but, respectfully, most obviously can't.

and that has no bearing on your challenge to me over the paper masks. That was the whole point. But hey, I bit, and I guess that's the whole point, sadly.....

So this is just brilliant (if they can make it work), in my opinion...

The Ontario Medical Association in Canada has asked physicians to join a virtual telemedicine network. Through it, they can assess patients virtually.

The Ontario Medical Association says it and the provincial government are "urgently" encouraging physicians to join the province's telemedicine network as the coronavirus spreads.

Among a range of online services, the network enables conference calls, similar to Skype or FaceTime, and allows doctors to, in certain circumstances, assess patients virtually, regardless of whether someone uses a phone or computer.

"We believe it will be very important should we enter a pandemic phase of COVID-19," Dr. Sohail Gandhi, president of the OMA, tells CBC News.

Telemedicine has the potential to help keep people and doctors from going into public spaces and ultimately limiting the spread of the virus.

Screener at Los Angeles airport tests positive for coronavirus

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (AP) — U.S. officials say a medical screener at the Los Angeles International Airport has contracted the coronavirus.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says it’s unclear if the person contracted the virus through their work as a medical screener or from community transmission. The agency said no travelers screened at LAX have tested positive for coronavirus

N95 masks work pretty well. If they didn't, no doctors or nurses would show up for work tomorrow.
