Apologies if this has already been mentioned.
Israel may be making progress with a vaccine.
Cheers
The Baylor-UTMB vaccine looks promising for COVID-19 because the virus so resembles SARS — Hotez calls it SARS-2 —
COVID-19 shares 82 percent of its genes with SARS and infects people through the same cell receptor, one of the “spike-like” proteins that stud the surface of coronaviruses and gives the family their name. The viruses originally jump from animals to people.

I think that sounds like he doesn't want people to actually be prepared, like he wants this to work out in the worst possible way.

My kids are homeschooled, so if their school gets canceled, then I strongly advise all of you to start fasting and praying because the seals are being broken and the Revelations are coming to pass.
Timing impeccable.

Mexico confirms first two cases of coronavirus
Hugo Lopez-Gatell said one of the patients is in Mexico City and the other in the northern state of Sinaloa. While a second test is still pending on that case, he said, "we are treating this as confirmed." Neither is seriously ill; one is in isolation at a hospital, the other is isolated at a hotel.
At least five family contacts of the first patient have been placed in isolation. He said the men had travelled to the northern Italian region where there has been an outbreak and had returned to Mexico between last Saturday and Sunday.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador appeared to downplay the seriousness of the Covid-19 virus, saying "it isn't even equivalent to flu."
Seasonal flu kills more people because it has infected far more people, but the new virus appears to have a far higher mortality rate.
In the central China city of Wuhan, where the new coronavirus first exploded, 2 percent to 4 percent of patients have died, according to the World Health Organization. But in the rest of China, the death rate has been 0.7 percent. On average, the death rate from seasonal flu is about 0.1 percent.
"I repeat, according to the available information, it is not something terrible, fatal,” López Obrador said. “There shouldn't be any yellow journalism, or exaggerations, to cause a mass psychosis of fear, of terror."

Catholic churches have daily mass (morning and evening) and special services for a saint's day or events like Stations of the Cross during Lent.
Some churches have daily breakfasts or coffee/pastries for the regulars.
There are church social groups that meet for things like playing cards, making quilts, feeding the hungry.
There are ministers that will bring the Blessed Sacraments to the sick at hospitals, nursing homes, or residences.
Lots of possible vectors for the spread of a virus, and the mortality rate of COVID-19 is highest among the elderly...so the above is my theory.

Thank-you Mr. Trump.
Good luck relying on the ADMIN. during this crisis. We are no better than China.

Here is the story that summarized her press briefing on tv this morning:
Now we also face an immediate crisis. In the past week, Covid-19 has started behaving a lot like the once-in-a-century pathogen we’ve been worried about. I hope it’s not that bad, but we should assume it will be until we know otherwise.
There are two reasons that Covid-19 is such a threat. First, it can kill healthy adults in addition to elderly people with existing health problems. The data so far suggest that the virus has a case fatality risk around 1%; this rate would make it many times more severe than typical seasonal influenza, putting it somewhere between the 1957 influenza pandemic (0.6%) and the 1918 influenza pandemic (2%).
