Anyone thinking the U.S is immune to this virus is about to get rude shock it seems.
China on Wednesday offered cash support to domestic and foreign airlines to encourage them to restore services and stop suspending flights during the coronavirus outbreak.
Cirium data indicate that the number of flights to, from and within China canceled or withdrawn from the usual schedule was 347,414 between January 24 and February 27.
For each available seat per kilometer, Beijing will grant 0.0176 yuan (US $ 0.0025) for routes that are shared by several companies and 0.0528 yuan for routes that are only operated by one company, said the Civil Aviation Administration from China in a statement on its website.
For example, British Airways, which has canceled all its flights to mainland China, would receive a subsidy of about 50,000 yuan for each flight from London to Beijing if it sold all seats, according to Reuters calculations.

Thirty-four new coronavirus cases were recorded in the UK today in the biggest daily spike recorded on British soil, taking the number of infected patients to 85.

Four of the new coronavirus cases – three in England and one in Scotland – caught the deadly infection in the UK, sparking fears the virus is spreading rapidly across the home nations.
The other 31 patients – 29 in England and one in Scotland – were infected abroad, with most thought to have been struck down in Italy, the centre of Europe's escalating coronavirus crisis.
It comes after England's chief medical officer this morning warned the coronavirus will kill Britons and added an epidemic was 'highly likely' as the outbreak in Britain continues to accelerate.
Professor Chris Whitty's chilling message for Britain's 66million residents came after Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted yesterday people's lives may have to be put on hold for up to three months to fight the deadly viru
The coronavirus has evolved into two major types, with differing transmission rates and geographical distribution, according to a study published in the National Science Review on Tuesday.
A group of Chinese scientists analysed 103 coronavirus genomes and identified mutations in 149 sites across the strains.
They found that one type, which they called the L type, was more prevalent than the other, the S type, meaning it was more infectious. They also found that the L type had evolved from the S type, and that the L type was far more widespread before January 7 and in Wuhan, ground zero of the outbreak.

I wonder about the father's age ranges, how long it has been since he contracted the virus to have then become critical in regards to his medical condition, and what his other risk factors may be.
