Suicide it is then. If the national guard is rallied they will be fighting to save the population. Legally, civil rights can be put on hold. I do not expect much tolerance for trouble makers in such a situation. Generally these are just average guys on the front line trying to do what they can in challenging times. This pandemic will not last forever and things will eventually return back to normal. Keep calm and carry on.

I'm also keeping an eye on our (Dutch) royal scumbags. Interestingly, this year, king scumbag won't attend the 'koningsspelen'. He'll go to Denkmark instead.

Anyway, apaprently still no infections in the Netherlands. Lots of people having flu though. I wonder which 'flu' exactly... People who show symptoms need to call emergency line and NOT go to the doctor etc. That incl. self-qarantaining can keep numbers/visibility down a lot.

I was wondering with all these storms raging over. Could they potentionally carry the decease from abroad? Or even on a lower level, from say, city to city?

When the investors get spooked then we all should. Keep an eye out for gold, it's a good indicator and a safe bet when the world goes belly up.

Per an insider, getting COVID-19 once will not necessarily immune one from a future bout with this devil.

On the other hand I read that one promising suggestion was using plasma/blood from existing patients who recovered. But I have not seen this in multiple sources.

I wonder if the blood supply could be impacted too. Will they label blood before and after C-19? If symptoms
may not show up for 3 weeks, have people already given blood? If having a surgery, should one get it sooner rather than later? a reply to: carport

And now you have damage to your lungs and organs that will make a second round less survivable..

I think food will be the bartering factor in life for the next 6 months. Have you seen any empty pallets of rice yet in Hong Kong. they are fighting over toilet paper at the moment and here in Japan , some one is stealing the mask out of the store rooms in the hospitals .

news.sky.com...

Two people have died of the coronavirus in Italy in the space of 24 hours. A man named by Italian news agency Ansa as former construction company owner Adriano Trevisan, in his late 70s, was among 30 suspected or confirmed cases in Italy so far. The father-of-three died at a hospital in Padua, in the Veneto region in northern Italy, where he had been admitted along with another person who has tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

Looks like Italy and Iran have kicked off last few days, maybe in italy, they can stem the flow before it spreads further afield.

Also: you’re a d.

I understand the subject of death is very confronting and this thread has a growing amount in it. It is important that we do try to understand and give reasonable time to those coming to terms with the situation. There are a lot of unknowns which contribute to the fears that are present and we all think about.

When one starts to get personal about something that affects us all it is a sign they are struggling with the facts. As a clearer picture of things develop amongst the public, it is expected more frustrations will develop. Much of what is coming is out of our hands, all we can really control is how we respond. Personally I aim to face this storm with respect and dignity.

The most infections were traced to a hospital in the southeastern Cheongdo region and a minority Christian sect in the southeastern city of Daegu, according to Yonhap news agency. People were asked to stay indoors in Daegu city and Cheongdo was designated as a "special management zone" on Friday, the report added. On Thursday, the country's health officials reported the nation’s first death from the coronavirus.

Japanese TV report sparks speculations in China that COVID-19 may have originated in US

www.globaltimes.cn...

A report from a Japanese TV station that suspected some of the 14,000 Americans died of influenza may have unknowningly contracted the coronavirus has gone viral on Chinese social media, stoking fears and speculations in China that the novel coronavirus may have originated in the US. The report, by TV Asahi Corporation of Japan, suggested that the US government may have failed to grasp how rampant the virus have gone on the US soil. On February 14, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said they will begin to test individuals with influenza-like-illness for the novel coronavirus at public health labs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, and New York City. However, it is unknown whether Americans who have already died of the influenza had contracted the coronavirus, as reported by TV Asahi. The story sparked various conspiracy theories on Chinese cyberspace. The Military World Games were held in Wuhan in October. "Perhaps the US delegates brought the coronavirus to Wuhan, and some mutation occurred to the virus, making it more deadly and contagious, and causing a widespread outbreak this year," a user posted on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo.

Text2 new cases in Italy: two doctors, husband and wife (a pediatrician), in Pieve Porto Morone (Pavia). There are now a total of 30 cases in Lombardy region (including 1 death, 1 critical, and at least 14 serious cases), 8 in Veneto region (including 1 death and at least 1 critical case) and 3 in Rome. The total number of cases in Italy has now already doubled since yesterday.

Not good at all. So many doctors infected which means that there will be many more. And s paediatrician too. Thankfully so far kids don't seem to be severely affected

Doubtful wasn't to long ago they took the public approach of saying they were stretched to the breaking point with the influx of people from Africa, and their northern border is porous enough that Austria keeps troops near the border and is working with Slovenia to install fences to try and slow down the flow across the border.

Agreed, general consensus we’re seeing here form the doctors is saying kids not badly affected ( also pregnant women but men have higher risk and over 80 years looks around 15% mortality rate ( at the moment)
