apart from eating natural foods like Kakadu Plums and leafy greens
you could always resort to local dandelions -Dandilions which have shown to reduce lung inflammation.
So don't kill them this year.

Dandelions are good for a lot of things. I make wine out of mine and use their roots for chai. But I do take vitamin C tablets for health, just not the powder I have.

Quoting from this site, it seems pretty clear (from this source anyway) 'all' are to stay at home. Could of course be poor messaging from that source. I've not looked into it further though - so much to track and it's a work day!

milano.repubblica.it...

"As a precaution, all citizens of Castiglione d'Adda and Codogno are invited to stay at home and avoid social contacts.

For those who experience flu symptoms or respiratory problems the peremptory indication is not to go to the emergency room but to contact directly the number 112 which will evaluate each situation and activate specific routes for transport to the healthcare structures in charge or to eventually carry out the necessary tests at home.

Have a link for that please? Much appreciated.

This one mentions 600 million a month, or roughly 20 million a day.

Cheers

Coronavirus Patients in China to be Treated with High-Dose Vitamin C

Vitamin C Infusion for the Treatment of Severe 2019-nCoV Infected Pneumonia

Lucky me. Since part 1, I have been loading up on Vit C (500mg to 1000) a day.

I thought I read somewhere that ALL Vitamin C supplements are made in China, and have been for a while now. So I wonder how long the supply will hold out?

I just checked the label on my bottle of GNC Vitamin C Crystals and it says it's "Made in the USA."

Yeah but most of those materials come from china, a lot of things are MADE/put together in the USA, but most of the components come from China

96% of our medicine comes from china, and almost all of our antibiotics

Do you have a link that would verify your claim please?
Rainbows
Jane

Sorry my numbers were a bit off, but still

The U.S. depends on China for thousands of chemicals needed to make prescription drugs; in fact, we depend on China for 80 percent of the core components to make our generic medicines. And today, generics represent some 90 percent of all prescriptions dispensed here in the U.S

Generic drugs account for 90 percent of prescriptions filled in the United States. Already, generic versions of high blood pressure meds, anti-depressants, and cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, can be traced back to China. Today, India is the leader in generic drug manufacturing but China provides India with 80 percent of its raw ingredients, according to estimates.

To be fair its a 10 second google search

I don’t consider vitamin C a drug. Am I missing something.

I'm not sure what you know and what you're missing, but maybe this will help. I'm not trying to dis you or anything with this information, either. This thread moves so fast it's hard to keep up.

Earlier, possibly Part 2 of the thread, some report came out that said massive amounts of vitamin C might stave off the corona virus. Another poster said they already take a bunch of vitamin C, so they should be good to go. Somehow this topic about vitamin C came up again last night (early this morning?) and the mention that most all of our medicine is made in China. Trying to be helpful, I posted that, according to the label on my bottle of vitamin C crystals, it was made in the USA. That's how vitamin C got into the thread. I hope this helps and doesn't come off sounding condescending - because it's not meant to be.

Heard today that 3M in the states is making a killing switching to 24/7 ops to make N95 masks and ship them over seas.

Makes me wonder about ingredients for the masks and what's the supply level.

People with an iq at barely 90 are derailing this thread. They are questioning why there are 19 Chinese in Iran and are linking it to nuclear programs. I bet that Chinese embassy in Iran has 19 employees, not to mention all the representatives of Chinese companies. I know the mods and owner have kinda given up on this site, but stil...

How popular are cats in China. I know they are very popular in other Asian countries, but cats do have similar ACE2. Would it be possible that this thing has been percolating through them and then jumped back to humans?

I think they must be fairly popular. I suspect my local Chinese restaurant has them on the buffet from time to time.

Edit to add:
And another local Chinese buffet was shut down because they were found to have several cases of cats behind the store.

And 18 new positive from the evac flight feom Diamond Princess. Is that in addition to the known 14? And anyone know their condition/how many specialist unit beds there are?

It is not condescending. My comment was about a comment about drugs made in China but I don’t consider Vit C a drug so perhaps much of Vit C is not made in China. All good thanks for being polite.

Just read this

"The CDC says a breakdown will be released on their website within the hour, but from our understanding right now it's:
- 18 repatriated from cruise
- 3 repatriated from Wuhan
- 13 US cases

Also: 10 repatriated from cruise were positive in Japan. Not sure if they'll be included"

It's all a bit confusing!

Doctor Treating Patients in Coronavirus Epicenter Dies from Disease at 29

A 29-year-old Wuhan doctor passed away from the COVID-19 coronavirus on Feb. 20, and became the latest medical staff to succumb to the disease.

Peng Yinhua is a doctor at the Jiangxia district People’s No. 1 Hospital in Wuhan City, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.

When his condition became critical, he was given a plasma transfusion. But he could not recover.

Ling Yun is a nurse from Anhui Province. After being dispatched to Wuhan to help combat the virus outbreak, she has been working at the Jinyintan Hospital. She took care of Peng for several days.

“Peng told me that he had treated more than 300 patients in two days. He was very tired at that time, which caused his immunity level to drop. Then, he became infected with the virus,” Ling told state-run media Life Times on Feb. 21.

“Peng kept communicating with his family members by sending text messages on his cell phone. His lungs weren’t in good condition and it was hard for him to speak,” Ling said.

If they stayed in Japan, I would think they would be counted there. If they are here, they'll be counted in the Diamond Princess total. The repatriation cases are from the evac flights from China. And the rest account for any other instance like the man in Washington, the couple in Illinois, the 3 in Cali, etc.

I have some questions for the other people who have been actively involved in this topic. (I follow closely, but have bad short-term memory)

1; At what date was the Chinese government aware of the virus?
2; Which date did the mass traveling around the world occur?
3; When did the first wave of Chinese infections became known to the public?
4; Date of first confirmed cases out of China? (Likely Japan)

I have serious doubts about the incubation period and symptoms. I think the whole ''flu symptoms'' are a ruse.
I also think we are seeing MAD protocol in action. This thing wasn't released accidently.
