Where did the new site go now?!?

Hello everyone! (First post)

Congrats on the new site design. It looks great! I tried posting this earlier but not sure if it got through.

As seen above, the index page of the forum is displaying the forum legend at the top, with huge spacing between the sections.

A good solution would be to move this at the bottom of the forum, because currently it is not a very good experience.

Another solution would be to condense all this information in an accordion - something like this jqueryui.com...

I am kind of glad to see the old scheme back. Is it only temporary?
The desktop version of the other one worked a bit better, even on an iPad, but a lot of features weren't working for me. I was not able to access my uploads at all.

Okay folks. There were some road-blocking technical issues that were unable to be resolved quickly. So I reverted to the old style for now.


But be certain the new version is locked-in and will launch soon



If you want to be part of providing feedback and input for a third time we will open up another all-access beta test for members. If after the final launch, you didn't participate in providing constructive feedback during the next open test of the final release candidate, you have no basis on which to gripe.

There is no going back or change. The core design of the new ATS.5/3 is locked in. There may be some style tweaks, and I hope those who are genuinely interested in helping will do so.

I feel bad for ATS, spending money on a new design and people are quick to diss it.

There only trying to improve things.

But havnt we just got 30 whole pages of feedback?

Its like we've just been told that everything said over these pages *counts for nothing* because we didnt participate in one of the official beta tests.

Yeah, count me in on the testing mate. The "BTS - Avatar Creations" thread is swamped with avatar adjustment and general query requests.

I like the new design but need to tweak a few things, so I'll await the message to participate.



NB: I had to laugh though when you reverted back to the original page before, I thought to myself "ol' S.O must have been inundated with complaints and thought %$#@ this I'll just go back to the old one for now until the dust settles"

Houston, we have a problem.

But like those days of old, I'm sure that it will be fixed.

Well, you know... I just did a count and we had over 60 members (not including staff) providing input on organization, functionality, and colors.


I am genuinely surprised this time out, because I involved members, and was rather confident the new UI would be well-received.

For those who were asking, I guess now would be the time to grab stuff you want to save from your profile comment wall.

Thank you for changing the format back (if only temporarily). At least now I can tolerate looking at the screen long enough to throw my 2-cents out here.

No offense to whoever it was that put in the long, thankless hours redesigning the site; but, I will not be visiting this site anymore if that redesign comes back. Go back to the drawing-board and PLEASE think about what is appealing to the eye. That white background; BLAH! Also consider how much wasted space is on the screen...those icons and avatars took up too much space. I'm more interested in the content of the site; not it's "character".

I'm with the "Sniper" on this one. Improvise. Overcome. Adapt.
