Dr. Joe Leigh Simpson is the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Professor of Molecular and Human Genetics at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA. Formerly, he was Professor of Ob-Gyn and the Chairman of the Department of Ob-Gyn at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He was also the President of the American Fertility Society. He has received many awards, including the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology Public Recognition Award in 1992. Professor Simpson studied the following two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad:
[In every one of you, all components of your creation are collected together in your mother’s womb by forty days...]
[If forty-two nights have passed over the embryo, God sends an angel to it, who shapes it and creates its hearing, vision, skin, flesh, and bones....]
He studied these two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad extensively, noting that the first forty days constitute a clearly distinguishable stage of embryo-genesis. He was particularly impressed by the absolute precision and accuracy of those sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Then, during one conference, he gave the following opinion:
“It follows, I think, that not only there is no conflict between genetics and religion but, in fact, religion can guide science by adding revelation to some of the traditional scientific approaches, that there exist statements in the Quran shown centuries later to be valid, which support knowledge in the Quran having been derived from God.”

THE ROTATION OF THE EARTH AROUND THE SUN:
365 DAYS
The word "day, “yavm” in Arabic appears 365 times in the Qur’an. It also takes the Earth 365 days to orbit the Sun.
The fact that the word “day” appears 365 times in the Qur’an is very important in terms of its providing information about the Earth’s orbit hundreds of years ago. The repetition of the word “day” 365 times may be a reference to the 365-day relationship between the Earth and Sun. (Allah knows the truth.)
The word “day (yavm)" appears 365 times in the Qur’an.

GENDER AND THE 23rd CHROMOSOME PAIR
The genetic make-up of human beings and other living things depends on their chromosomes and the genetic data in these chromosomes in DNA. Gender is dependent on the 23rd chromosome pair. In other words, the difference between a man and a woman stems from the 23rd chromosome pair. If a person’s 23rd chromosome id expressed in the form XX she is female, and if in the form XY, then he is male.
The Qur’an makes reference to the 23rd chromosome that determines the difference between male and female thus: The word “man” and the word “woman” both appear 23 times in the Qur’an. This discovery about chromosomes made only recently was reported hundreds of years beforehand in the Qur’an by way of the number 23, that which concerns the basic difference between male and female. (Allah knows the truth.)
The words “man” and “woman” both appear 23 times in the Qur’an.
The 23rd chromosome is the main element that determines an individual’s gender.

You are knitpicking about the how we came to the physical Quran today but you missed the point that you alluded to in your opening. At the time of Prophet (peace be upon Him) the Quran was memorized by many Sahaba and it is still memorised by over 1 million Muslims today. It is impossible to create corruption when there are so many to verify from memory.
Knitpicking aside, did you not look at the numerous scientific miracles of the Quran? The fact that the Quran has an open challenge that no one can create a book, a chapter or a Surah like it (the challenge has gone unsanswered although many have tried)? You left all of this to because you yourself concluded that "everything is one?!"
