Well you're not wrong.

It's literally the most hypocritical thing in the world for the Pope and the Bishops and Cardinals to sit in palaces and on thrones and amongst so much gold and jewels and have stockpiled so many riches and treasures.

If they were truly men of God and truly wished to do the Lord's work, they would sell all of the wealth, they would live and preach among the people and they would be poor, humble and not live in palaces decorated in gold.

If Jesus came back he would be disgusted with the Vatican and he would literally throw those guys out on their asses, mostly for the Paedophile thing but also the hypocrisy and disgusting wealth that they have amassed while the believers live in poverty and half of the world is starving.

A seagull.....in Rome.....maybe it's simply there because they are so close to the coast, and there are seagulls all over the country? Heck, there are seagulls where I live, and we are a LONG way from the ocean. I really don't think a gull there means anything special, and would expect to see them all the time.

I am more curious about this man's past, his family line, etc. One way or another, the predictions should be explored, and either verified, or laid to rest.

Well Francis is a Jesuit and the Jesuits elect the "Black Pope" so in a sense the Catholic Church has elected a Jesuit or "Black Pope". I do not and never have believed the world would end from any of the crazy conspiracies.. But I think there is a lot of ritual and "planned prophecy" involved with all of this stuff.

The symbolism of Saint Francis along with the connection of the Jesuit Black Pope and a Catholic Pope is pretty interesting to me.

I believe a "black pope" refers to the Jesuits, not to skin color. In that case, he would actually fit, as I believe he is Jesuit. So, that could still be used as relevant, to people following that train of thought.

As for the "end of the world", well, there are plenty of ideas that don't set a specific date. I would guess that the identity of the Antichrist would still be widely discussed. Also, various possible space object impacts, considering all the "near misses" and interesting celestial events lately, would be easily used in such discussions.

But the head of the jesuits is known as black pope. If the new pope is not the head of the jesuits, he is not black pope. Just because he is a jesuit doesn't make him a black pope.

Would you mind elaborating? Francis was the one that was supposed to talk to animals, right? In what way do you see something significant there? Certainly, rituals and symbolism have always played a big part in the CC.
