Here are some words of wisdom for the entire roster to consider.

When you are a Professional Tradesman and you are on a Jobsite which is the EQUIVILANT of you out on the ice during a game, you are working within a very organised and micro-manged decison making and implementing structure, your duties are task specific and it is important that this program be followed to avoid chaos. There are safety protocal already built into the super structure you work within which account for and compensate for errors and mistakes. The best focus is one where you properly valuate the optimal application of your personal influence, and this inevitably comes down to being a reliable part of a TEAM,a solid dependable link in a CHAIN OF COMMAND.In basic terms, you are likely to cause more damage than you will prevent if your Primary reaction is to step outside of the Chain of Command to solve immediate problems,it is in the best interests of the entire structure if you in fact fail but fail with yourself being in the right position---in essence fellas you need to learn to GO DOWN WITH THE SHIP,to repeat the Charge of the Light Brigade, you are being asked to stand in the line of fire and not move.

If you constantly step out of the correct System pattern to prevent errors using your anticipation and skillset you will be making a mistake, you will be breaking system continuity when you should not be doing so,you SHOULD be executing your exact system duties within that SYSTM DICTATED sphere of influence at all times and this willmean ALLOWING mistakes to evolve right past you at the edges of you spheres of influence or reach, you must let your System and teammates let the playaction come to them and you must allow time for it to come back to you as well.As long as your on-ice mistakes are not generated by your being out of position then the coaches can accurately contribute the weakness to their system and make accurate adjustments, but if players are consistantly flying around coming out of every corner then the coaches cannot accurately valuate the tactical adjustments they need to make with the entire system when there are breakdowns.

As long as you can put yourself where and when the coaches tell you to to support the overall system you are not mere dead weight. You dont need to understand the entire Tactical program the coaches are thinking, you just need to be where they expect you to be at the right times, this is the easiest way for them to coach the game.As players it would of course be much better to have experienced Coaches who could execute a System which Naturally incorporated creative thinking and task execution within System parameters. This is a Special type of System requiring a Special type of Coaching crew,at the moment you would need to leave Edmonton to play in this creative environment.

The Coaches right now are telling players to simply stay the course and execute the system and that the creative inputs will come later when they have the system basics down pat and instilled as a reaction. In many ways they are right to say this as it is a fact.

It is better for the roster to commit to system placement and positioning and to ALLOW errors and breakdowns so the Coaches are able to do their jobs better.

Stick to the gameplan perfectly and let the System correct itself,do not feel responsible as an individual for managing this actions, and if you do not step out of System focus you do not put yourself in that pressure cooker decision mking position.

If I am a Pipefitter on a Big Jobsite and I see a huge electrical box sparking all over,I AM NOT running over to do a hands on loss prevention action.Even if I have a basic knowledge of electricity I need to make a Radio call for the Electricians ASAP and NOT touch anything. You see the reality is that there is likely already a safety factor built into hat I am working on catalysed by the managment and command system itself,so it is possible that there is a Main breaker which shuts down the electricity remotely, and if you were to go all Commando and repair the damage on the spot with good intentions you would have risked your life for nothing because a Breaker would be automaticlly stopping more damage from happening. This is how your coaches system works, you need to do your System job FIRST and COMMUNICATE weaknesses you spot to teammates and the coaches second. This means that you must watch teammates being lit up.

To succeed with Dallas, you need to do these things I outline, you need to box up your strong instincts to step out of System position to break up plays using your anticipation and Intuition, this action will break System continuity and make it harder for Dallas to see where he needs to make tactical adjustments. It is better for him to see a clear mistake or System breakdown than broken or randomly catalysing playaction mistakes.

You make it easier for him to Coach if you go down with the ship and stick to your positions within the System.Dallas will be forced to take responsibility for the breakdowns IF everyone executes the System perfectly and the team still loses, this is the fastest way to the truest solution, just execute the System perfectly as a group and see if it executes the Coaches.I say all the men should work harder now as a group to ensure that these challenges are resolved and to make it fun to play the game again. At this point people are
beginning to ask questions about group Hockey IQ,Coaches AND Players and that is just embarrasing.

Dallases System cant be that hard to learn and execute,no System is tht complicated when the men are teaching from within the group in the same directions the Coaches are coming from externally.

The rest of the season is a Wash,so why as a group dont you Players all try to solve the problems facing the team as much as you can by executing the System you now have to the BEST of your GROUP abilitys -- you all actually need to know if Dallases Systems work as much as he does, because if the System IS really good and you all pass it up then everyone loses,it is better to work this System to its death or growth by being Professionals and teaching each other every game to do exactly what Dallas says consistantly for 60 minutes,to stand and face the fire and to accept mistakes as being system generated as long as you are where you needed to be when the crap hit the fan.

When you are working a a part of a large and fluidly managed super-structure you must accurately valuate your own impact and its optimal application within the parameters of the Super-structures functional needs. The individual accountability level is nearly zero when you are in your allocated position and a System breakdown happens. The further you are from your System dictated area the GREATER amount of Crap you become entitled to recieve, this is simply the way it is and nobody ever said things in life were always fair right?

What i would like to see is an overall tendancy to shoot the puck from high percentage areas at all times, this means that EVERYONE needs to adjust their mindsets to becoming triggermen at ALL TIMES.The tighter you execute the Coaches System the MORE you will need to be ready to shoot on the fewer opportunitys you do in fact get looks at.So EVERYONE needs to be prepared to shoot to score on every o-zone possesion, and this doesnt mean bums-rush the net every possesion desperately trying to simply force a save, this means becoming a 5-man PREDATORY unit that is always working just long enough to generate one HIGH LEVEL opportunity ,the idea is NOT to generate MORE good chances,it is to capitalise more on our first chances.A shoot-first mentality doesnt mean going all Maverick and shooting desperately,it means that every man shares the offensive execution responsability equally at all times.Players need to be accountable for chances they let go,because if I had to grade you all as a roster the only issue I would spank you with is the Primary shot opportunitys you ALL consistantly pass over because you can rely on each others very high skill levels to pull off elite plays, and I dont mean great plays, you fellas can make elite plays with your cumulative skillsets. But I wold rather see you all execute a less offensive System and simply shoot more in terminal dynamics, think about it this way,if you have the puck in a Terminal shooting area and you make an extra move driving into an OPTIMAL or best shooting zone no one will blame you if you lose possesion, but if you break into the o-zone and rush off shot that is not taken from a Primary spot then you will be blamed for a possesion loss.

In a nutshell fellas,as long as you are executing the System as Dallas asks you CAN DO NO WRONG,and this means that YES YOU CAN shoot the puck a LOT,as long as you are working yourselves into Primary positions ASAP,This means that each player must ALWAYS be thinking shot-first and be triggerhappy but confident that as long as they are in accurate System position they will be making the right decisions to BLAST IT.What they do AFTER the shot is again a System decision made by Dallas and this is critical to remember, you must stick to the systems structure even if it means not chasing juicy rebounds as much as you are used to,think of it this way,not all systems are always green-lit for offense and shooting,it is a good thing that Dallas promotes shooting from everyone, imagine being Ovies linemates. If all you need to do as an individual player is be in your system spot to be green-lit to shoot to score then there is no better position to be in,ANYONE can become a Hero in ANY game.

And lets face it fellas, even if the System isnt the best one in the world,it has to be generating SOME high percentage scoring chances right?

Most goalies are right eye dominant and it is harder to see the puck coming off of a black taped stick so tape that side black, and tape the weak side black because the goalie will always be making a natural compensatory action with his eyes as he looks to that side and a white background that highlights the black puck makes it harder for him to focus as fast as he could. For the same reasons the players taping black should all have white shafts with black tape on the top 8 inches. And the players taping white should have black shafts with the top 8 inches taped white. This is basic Moma2s NewAge Hockey System tactical planning.Everything makes a difference even the colors and places you tape your gear,EVERY DETAIL MATTERS.

On the forecheck if you are asked to play dump-and chase again, remember that it isnt always the optimal tactic to hit the defender who is chasing the puck immediatly,it can be more important to time the dump-in so the wing support can be established early and so the first forechecker can actually pull up behind the defender trapping the puck and pick his pocket instead of hitting him,you only need to hit him if you are in to early. If you use this more laterally strong zone entry then the first man in can actually stop up at either side of the net and not commit to a hit but instead FORCE the puck to a chosen side as a primary outlet for the defender,as long as the board support is in place on time this tactice can be deadly at creating o-zone turnovers by the defense, and the best part is that when they cough it up you are coming in from the wing usually for a terminal shooting opportunity.

So ASK your coaches if you can try this different style of forechecking, one that is set at a different speed and has a different focus, one that takes away passing lanes, one where our players high skill level and instincts let them have an anticipatory playaction advantage, one that lets them create lots of takeaways by being on the right side of the puck at the right times. This impact CAN be executed consistantly even against huge teams ,passing lanes are passing lanes, being on the right side of the man in the area you are covering is basic stuff as well, there is nothing complicated, you just approach o-zone support and pressure in a new and better way,one that supports passing lane takebacks instead of trench battles along the boards where our size disadvantage is highlighted. We cannot sacrifice any more skill for size when we cannot even properly manage the size we have now.We need to play a passing lane pressure style forecheck,a patient and deadly style that allows the player intercepting a pass to one-man it right to the net taking his time and feeling it is the right thing to do every time.

If this type of forecheck is used the defense will become more involved in the playactions because they will be in prime spots to intercept passes and step them right in to the net.The defense will be in closer to the playactio as the o-zone is entered because the entry speed will be slower to let the winger get into position, the dump-in will be timed for a slow laterally strong o-zone entry, this means the defense will have caught up the the playaction and already be in the high n-zone when the puck is forced up-ice.This presentation allows the defense to play a much bigger part because they are already in excellent position to step into the o-zone and take away anything high and take it right to the net free-wheeling.Knowing there is tons of support there already. When it is passing lanes everyone is covering as opposed to the body then the entire System focus changes and it can be surprising what can happen offensively.Think of this pressure as a dagger because when you have men coming out of the high n-zone with speed and green-lit to intercept and go after passes using their reaches and speed then most of your goals 5on5 will come straight up the middle and there will be a lot of them. The early lateral strength numberswise in the o-zone with a high man in front to the side of the net COMPLETELY CHANGES the primary options for the defender behind the net. This pressure also changes the opponents potential exit speeds, and slows them and their first transition down.

So ASK YOUR COACHES what they think of this type of pressure which is more suited to the rosters natural skillsets.

Believe it or not if I close my eyes and listen to a hockey game as I am sitting on my couch,I can actually tell when a goal is about to be scored a very high % of the time by the very SOUNDS of the puck being passed and recieved, and there is always a shortened punctuated bang on the terminal shot at the end,it always comes slightly out of pattern or sequence.

There is a pattern to the sounds that is definable,it illustrates that a set number of passes are being executed prior to terminal shot being made and it even gives you the cadence that is most prevelant which also tells you the zone entry speeds which are most effective.

Those passes must be made with bad intentions, and they must alawys be recieved with a shoot-first mentality, the RISK taken to make a hard meaningfull pass must not be wasted by a hesitancy to shoot the puck, the fact is that if you are thinking shot all the way you will put yourself in a different body position ect ect,and this means harder work to recieve these excellent passes IN shooting position,so really the reciever of the pass must work harder to have his BODY and STICK in a shooting position early enough to recieve the hard pass and transition to s ahot IMMEDIATLY.

Your body positions when you recieve passes cannot make you overly vulnerable and result on your head being taken off or your knees being taken out,so TALK TO YOUR COACHES and ask them where it is safest to transition your bodies into shooting position without becoming to vulnerable.

The impact of this micro-managment of pass reception with a shoot-first perspective increases the speeds of playaction transition to a shot with about 75% the impact a one-timer has.

But it also means speeds and timing must be adjusted, again TALK TO YOUR COACHES.Make them work harder for you than they are right now, they will appreciate it as they are looking for solutions.

The best scorers in NHL history worked their arses off to be in proper body and shooting positions, this is one of a very FEW ways you can gain an edge on NHL Goaltendersexecution speed, there are others.

Hint-- you dont recieve passes in this style "stretched out' in full stride, you recieve them in a compact half-cocked position of control with your body in optimal shooting angles.

We want to see LESS strides coming between pass reception and terminal shot, less strides spent trying to catch up and to control passes. We have been covering to much real-estate with our pass/reception execution,so its either shorter passes or better timing to allow the reciever to be in optimal body and shooting position when he gets the puck.

Talk to the coaches and watch any old game tape watching for what I am saying, then discuss together the impacts of optimally managing this facet of the individual game, this small detail with epic impacts.

While you are at it discuss the data on shooting along the ice at the defensemans inside foot, where he is being forced to plant his bodyweight. Nuge will capitalise on this one.I would have loved playing pin-ball off of a guy as big as Chara,he would have been afraid to close on his own net I would have lit him up,he is a huge backboard to master-mind pucks off of.But TALK TO YOUR COACHES FIRST so they can plan around those shot attempts and rebound likelyhoods.

Key point today is TALK TO YOUR COACHES and make them work harder, thye are available and are able, make them work as hard as they ask you to work, that is how everyone becomes the best they can be.Dont let them down, bring them things to work with every day,ask them questions every day, whatever happens to be the going concern, but bang ideas off of them if you have taken the time to think of alternatives, they will respect your opinions, you are all hockey players, and if something makes sense to one of you it will eventually make sense to the others.

Play the System and dont waste high % opportunitys, chances will be few and mediocre ones must be taken an extra two steps and turned into high % ones, work hard to stay in the System and everyone SHOOT.Then let the Coaches do their jobs shuffeling you around as they need to do.

I think the guys need to practise shooting more from mid o-zone across the zone, this area is where they usually hit the defensive wall in games so it is the comfort zone they need to work on.They definately need to work on the slappers off the wing on the way into the zone like Wayne used to use,it is a compact half-slapper,use it more fellas.

Work on the 25 foot wristers that go in at the elbows or under the bar,get familiar with the distance at a slower speed in your drills, just make sure you shoot from the right spots.

The reason Wayne took those slappers was because defensemen would try to get the early angle on him as they were cutting back and collapsing to their nets and Wayne needed to get the puck on net to not waste the possesion when the pressure was on and hard.He knew he couldnt cut it to the net but he DID have the perfect angle or advantage from one last spot before he was forced out of a shooting lane and it was thst half-slapper that caught goaltenders in a transitional zone, exactly like the one that killed Dubby, and still hurts most tenders from the high middle.gretzky simply found a different goaltender positional transition zone and made the best shot type match for the opportunity which was the high velocity 80% weight but highly accurate top corner slapper that caught many many goalies cheating to get a better angle on him.

To top it off Wayne also knew that if he went far top corner his rebounds if he missed were still accessable to him or his support, had he went close top corner his rebounds would have been exiting the zone slightly more.

The best points getter in the history of the game didnt choose bad shots at bad times,he chose great shots and took them at perfect times.Take some shots like he did and when he did and see how things work out,you cannot go wrong following the footsteps of The Great One.

Mmmmm.... I know there was one more stone around here somewhere that still needs to be turned over.

No stone can be left unturned if a Championship System is your goal.

In a game where the tiniest detail can define winning from losing,no stone can be left unturned.

So keep turning, maybe you ought to try turning over some bigger stones if you want bigger results.

Every NHL game is simply a series of pattern recognitions and reactions by the coaches projected through the orders given to the men on the ice. That is all it is.

Pattern recognition is not an NHL exclusive skill, quite the contrary,in fact EVERY major sport is led by individuals who are elite at pattern recognition.

Bring in a Hired Gun who can make the early read and react calls for you and then simply filter through that early data and use what you want to use,but dont discount such a potent tool based on vanity or profesional protecionist actions.

Who really cares how the data is created,it can be a psychic or someone with a crystal ball,it doesnt matter as long as the Coach gets it before the opponent gets it.

If I am a Coach and I can bring in a Psychic Consultant that can show me iron-clad results then the man is on board, why would I care who or how or why the data was sourced from if it had positive consistant impacts for me?It would not be my job to critique the source if the impacts spoke for themselves.I would actually fight any influence that tried to supress this data source if it was valid and impactfull,I would strive to learn from it.
I would trust results and nothing else, and only so long as those results remained consistant. But I sure as heck wouldnt ever reject superior results because it came in the wrong color package or wasnt my favorite flavor.

If I am a Coach and I am consistantly reading a sports writer who is nailing my challenges down before I am over a long term like a season or more,I am finding that man and asking him if he wants a job, because that man is an accurate analyst and a predictive asset to me.

If I am a coach or a player and I am reading a Blog on the internet and I am consistantly seeing the same above average greater than AverageFan impact,i am going to tell someone and try to get in contact with that person and offer them an analysts job,I am going to head-hunt them like everyone does today, right off of the internet, why wouldnt i do that it is the status quo in todays recruiting world.

There is plenty of help available out there and the only problem I see is an attitude problem with the people given the responsibility for aquiring organisational assets and resources.Sitting on past laurels and saying that the net has already been farmed via several competitions is silly and meaningless when you are looking for the best assets, you need to look for the most action or biggest reactions the places where controversy is stirred up,that is where you will find cutting edge ideas.

Everyone has a computer so ask around to see who has heard of anything online that could help the team out,dig deep and note the word of mouth, look for radical solutions and propositions.Once you hear a source repeated a few times then check it out and see if there is any vlue,if there is log on and get involved. Its called a cyber-community for a reason, you are allowed to talk.

Fixing the PP,101.

Understand that if I were under contractual agreement with an NHL team I would not be posting this stuff for everyone.

You need to look at the PP as an extension of your 5 on5 System focus. The bigger the adjustment to your System Focus when you transition into a PP the bigger the margin for errors.KISS.

With that in mind you need to approach your o-zone entrys on the PP exactly the same as you would on a 5 on 5 rush, you are simply adding a double pass outlet to ONE spot on the zone transitions and o-zone entry. You just keep it simple and doubleteam whatever spot you think gives you the greatest advantage. It doesnt matter where you double up your Systems focus.

Now that the basic System focus is the same on the PP,it is time to stop drop and roll and come up looking for what their strengths will be when they try to stop our PP zone entrys, and that is simple, there is only one optimal way to spread the defensive impact of the PKers and that is to gap them 100% laterally across a zone, and this is exactly what teams do,they all choose a spot to utilise this basic dynamic, then they time their collapse into their zone and eventually to their net.Teams do this 5 on 5 AND on the PK.

The advantage the PP gives you is that you can predict where the PKers will make that Lateral structure and use the data tacticlly.Because they are a man short they are unlikely to set up high in the n-zone,they will need to be in positions to collapse faster than normal because of the danger of a straight upice 200 foot rush by the PPers. This means there is a lot of room to set up excellent zone transitions as per the normal 5 on 5 System focuses.Just tune the final transtion from the n-zone into the o-zone using the spot the opponent makes their 4 man Lateral stand on as your guidepost tacticlly. They will need to be considering timing to collapse to their net so keep that in mind.

So once you have gone to your normal System zone transitions and entrys it is time to score ASAP,this means that every time the o-zone is entered with possesion,at any speed and from any spot, the puck carrier has a primary responsibility of pressuring 100% to take the puck to a high % scoring area and let it go,either a shot or a deke, but the primary intention must be to score immediatly from A HIGH % SPOT ONLY,so YES occasionally there may be 4 or 5 passes before a shot, but not often enough to worry about.

All the PP is giving you is a better % chance of getting the puck to a Primary scoring spot, the best spots, these opportunitys from these spots can be generated from puck possesion drives with finishes or from back-door type passing plays which are high % shots.

But the PP tactics need to be catalysed around an immediate push of the puck to a terminal scoring spot,on the PP we want everyone to go for the goal ASAP and this means driving it where we want it,but NEVER taking low % shots on net,it is OK to deke your way through the entire o-zone and make your linemates adjust as long as you are pushing through primary scoring areas and forcing the opponents to move as well.

Once the o-zone has been gained, extended possesion looking for a terminal scoring chance is to be expected, the intention is NOT to waste time and momentum establishing 100% zone stability,it is to score goals. So in essence you keep your 5 on 5 System focus and you simply make sure that whoever and however the o-zone is penetrated the man with the puck is clear that his job is to make every effort to go to a Primary scoring area AND SHOOT ASAP.

One of the simple issues creating static has been the distance from the goalline initial shots have been taken from,by using extended and terminal puck possesion by the first man in we can take those shots from closer to the goal and have adequate rebound support, and building tactics from there we take dynamic momentum control of the ice on the PP.

The only hard thing for the Coaches on the PP is identifying the opponents 4 man PK Lateral Stand positioning, once that is done it is all simple math.

Keeping the System focus IDENTICAL to the 5 on 5 will immediatly help the PP goal scoring numbers, basing your PP support structure off of an immediate and terminal drive to a Primary scoring area on EVERY o-zone entry from random spots making the puck carrier the EXPECTED TRIGGERMAN will allow the support to go to the right spots quicker,YES the PKers will read the plays to but so what we have an extra man right?Send him in on the heels of the o-zone penetration ,cycle different guys into that support spot from anywhere.

The general idea here is to use your extra man to double up one spot in your normal 5 on 5 System execution.Either use that power as two stacked men entering the zone with terminal intent,or use it as a double back-door threat from the half-boards to the low faceoff circle and support the player entering the o-zone with terminal intent by being there for his outlet if he doesnt get an immediate look.

The idea is to use your extra man to force the goaltender to expose himself faster than he wants to,this means move him where he doesnt want to go faster than a normal 5 on 5 pressure would do this. The real key is his first big movement, once you get him comitted to a side on the initial rush, then you can layer your backdoor support with that extra stick and cover the high AND the low outlet passing lanes together at once, this means that ANY pass coming across the seam is a sure fire goal, even if it isnt onetimed right in the short 5 foot pass to the extra support man will be enough to make the tender lay down for an upstairs shot.

So where are we now with PP 101, same 5 on System execution instead of getting fancy, first man into the zone using normal System execution goes Snake eyes every possesion and drives to the primary scoring areas on an extended possesion,EVERY TIME.This allows either a high % scoring chance immediatly or it allows the double backdoor support to be set up.Oh yea, remember to limit your shot choices on those ffull-on attack zone entrys to ones that will support rebounds going towards the back-door double support, dont be trying to snipe top inside corner and be ricochetting pucks right out of the zone past your support, this is critical so dont overlook it.also remember that the puck carrier will have a LOT of open passing seams because all he really ever has to do is simply get it through,he has double verticle support so he has two passing seam options all the time- he can lead the defender or drag it behind him and still hit an open shooter--.so that first man in has complete control of the Attack and on his extended possesion and drive he can really look for the best spots ASAP and ALWAYS know that there is a double stacked back-door support available that he can hit with a pass from nearly everywhere in the zone.

So it doesnt matter HOW you enter the o-zone on the PP,it should be your strongest way, what matters is what the puck carrier and his support do as soon as the o-zone is breached.

The longer the PKers have to set up and recognise the playactions the easier their jobs are,so the IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION of a determined scoring threat upon o-zone entry,be it high speed or crafty or banging, that immediate push for a high % scoring chance must be what catalyses the entire PP execution once the o-zone is breached.

If you take time to set up in the o-zone on the PP you lose your BEST scoring opportunity whichis the one where the highest and most variable speeds are invloved and this is your FIRST o-zone entry, after that threat of a 3 or 4 speed variable speed and depth attack is averted the defense can take a breath and structure up,knowing their Gaps change in their favor once they have you extended to the outside of the o-zone,your ability to force them into group transitions was gone with the initil zone entry sequence, now they know you can only generate the dynamic to make one or two of them transition at the same time,of course we all know that EVERY goal scored is catalysed by a player transitionng somewhere near the puck right. So the more transitions you can force upon the defense as a group at the same time, the BETTER your chances of scoring a goal are and the MORE OPTIMAL the application of an extra man becomes. In short you hit them early and hard every single time until you break something.Every o-zone puck entry is a Bi-Polar Express entry with the puck carrier greenlit to go anywhere he wants to for as long as he wants to remembering that the double backdoor support will always be in place ASAP.The regular zone entrys will be enhanced greatly by the puck carriers Hari-Kari drive to score from a high % spot and his extended erratic puck movement which immediatly overloads the defense and forces them to posture up positionally faster than thy want to because this shrinks their effective group PKing sphere of influence, collapsing is what they wasnt to delay at all costs.Having a constant and erratic but determined initial zone entry threat forces the PKers to posture up structurally early.Just make sure EVERYONE else on the PP isnt copy catting the Berserker puck entry man because they all need to get into support postions very quickly because you never know how long the puck carrier will have to dart around before hw will need to use that back-door outlet pass.

There you go,PP challenges solved, and you dont have do do hardly any adjusting, same old zone transitions and entrys at the same old speeds, just a mad-man puck entry tactic, with sprints into position by the support men looking to score IMMEDIATLY as opposed to lingering around.Take shots that support the back-door support and remeber that you have a double passing lane crossice at all times so you can either lead on or drag on the defenseman to get it through to a shooter, this is a big part of why this tactical approach is lightening fast quick-strike.

I expect to see results.Remember that taking an early slapper or wrister from to far out ruins the gameplan because the doubled-up support cannot be in place and you force yourself into a swiping at the rebound by incoming support instead ,so the first man in needs to be looking for whatever he can see for open ice wherever he can get it,when you have no set play positioning to worry about you can PENETRATE THE ZONE FROM ANYWHERE stretch the defense and create room for yourself at will.

ONLY the zone entry man has this type of positional freedom, the rest of the PPers need to be in proper position ASAP.It is a KISS PP setup that has a Rover who is defined upon o-zone entry as anyone lugging the puck ,the PP quarterback is whoever enters the zone with the puck, and the shoot options and puck movement freedom will be that mans decision as long as they are high % and the pass options will be SYSTEM DEFINED with a double lane option always in place immediatly waiting for the puck carrier to pull the tender over to the far post to open up the passes. The fact that the transitions and entrys are identical to the 5 on 5 pressure makes this a butt simple PP to score with, and make it nearly impossible to accurately read and react to for the PKers. It also speeds it up a whole lot, which generally makes goaltenders dance faster causing more errors and also gives you more possesions and shooting opportunitys.

Just Dump all of your PP strategy in the Crapper right now and do as I say and things will immediatly turn around for you.Just free up all of that cerebral disc-space,defrag yourselves man,you dont need to aste so much energy time and resources on the traditional PP inputs if you follow the Moma2s NewAge Hockey System guidelines I just set out for you, heck I just created them for both you and the NHS as we speak when i wrote the words down.

The longer you hold on to olde interpretations of what a PP is and is suppossed to do the longer you will struggle. It called addition by subtraction, throw away all of the extra baggage of traditional PP methods ,the coaches the books the analysts all of it and simply optimally manage your basic 5 on 5 System focus using Intuitive Dynamic managment as illustrated through the basics of Moma2s NewAge Hockey System.

"Is so simple!" "All you heff to do - score goals!" "With Extra man to be Icing Cake--Should be easy--No?"

Tip for Defensively slanted Coaches.

There is not a Team Sport in the World that uses perfectly executed set plays to score points, not one anywhere.

Offense is generated by the systemic and dynamic movements a team can force upon an opponents defense.

If I am using set plays to attack you then I am giving you a homefield advantage immediatly. If I attack you with tactical impacts and overloads in specifc areas of your defense by using non-traditional offense then the homefield advantage comes back to me.

I myself will normally choose a set play defense as well because of the inherant homefield advanatage which forces opponents to either match System with me or go all Moma2s NewAge Hockey System and tilt the playing surface. Most Teams use set play Systems and want to match up.

Offense has to be generated by forced dynamics of ONE extra-determined puck carrier who individually forces early collapse and multiple in tight defensive player transitions,or by a voluntary transitional errors forced by extended PP puck control and movement.

One of the two above options is a faster method, and is better suited to the PP when you consider it for a moment.

It was nice to see some genuine pressure free smiles on the faces of the young players post practise,it was a great idea to reward Shannon with a day at practise. She deserved it and it was very professional of the Oilers to give her some accolades,as I said it was nice to see genuine smiles, everyone was impressed by her performance.

Now that the dreaded deadline is gone everyone can settle in a bit more and finish off the season with calm nerves and a renewed perspective.

Hemsky doesnt need any luck or I would wish it to him,he is very much a star player and will I believe light it up,he is more defensively responsible than he is given credit for and I believe his new coaches will ask him to score more which he likely will do if he has defensive support around him that allows him to open it up.

Schultz is a connsumate proffesional,a veteran with a solid resume who will be an important piece of the roster he is now on,his experience and professionalism is of the highest level.

So lets get down to business and finish this season off,I cant wait to see some of the young kids getting opportuities during this last run.

I dont want to hear any griping at the end of the season about how the team finished with a winning % that would have gotten them into the playoffs had they executed that way all season, lets just remember that the roster has EVOLVED to where it is on its own, that it was a process, and that it will continue to be a process.Improvement was expected since gme one, just sooner than we have seen it materialise.

Now that there is some....system continuity,it is time to see system generated goals being scored the same ways repeatedly during games,we should be seeing soft spots in the opponents execution targeted now, when we get a sniff we should be seeing the coaches dialing their system inputs in to those spots where there is weakness showing. We should now be seeing more of the same types of goals during games. The ide being keep playing the KISS system and look for weaknesses then exploit them immediatly, identify opponents habits early and capitalise on them ASAP,this is easier to do whan your own system is consistantly executed which IS BEING DONE NOW.

So lets see the coaches doing their jobs well and lets see some accurate and timely tactical planning being offered to Dallas,he can work on keeping the players on task system-wise,but he NEEDS those tactical inputs coming in ASAP.Ideally we want to be the tea breaking those 0-0 game scores open. The fact that we can keep it close for so long now shows we are executing the system consistantly, now that this is happening Dallas needs options ASAP so we can break those system standoffs first. The opponents are having trouble finding system weaknesses on us ,this is the time for our coaches to take the next step and get those read and reacts in to Eakins faster so he can identify opponent weaknesses and exploit them.

Close games are fine, they are baby steps a sign that the system is being played and executed well, the important thing is that as Dallas is doing his job keeping the System running consistantly during games that his assets are providing him with usable accurate data to implement. Those read and reacts need to come from somewhere, right. When Dallas is busy focusing on system continuity, his assistants need to busy as bees finding weakneeses and formulating options for Dallas to use.

Play your system close and tight, then observe opponents habits and system tendancies, then as the Head Coach is running the show formulate tactics he can choose from that will exploit those habits and tendancies you are read and reacting to.

I SHOULD see asst coaches leaning over to Dallases ear regularly during games. This is ALL I need to see to know things are operating properly with the coaching crew, because these read and reacts are constant those trips to Dallas ear also need to be constant .Time to trust the assts more and to focus as a Head Coach on keeping the system running while THEY do some tactical planning .Trust the assts first then DELEGATE tasks to them and focus on system continuity. You need to layer your impacts,Dallas is the first line of defense running the system keeping it close, the ASSTS are the second wave reading and reacting FOR Dallas and giving him options, and the players are the third line of defense from the ice and bench relaying things to the Assts on-the-fly and constantly updating them to any small opponent adjustments happening on the ice they might miss.

Things are shaping up in an orderly fashion now, keep it coming now.

Activate the defense , make them carry the puck with hard focus upice immmediatly and challenge the forecheck. Dont take your time, they are letting you do that .

Take the game to them in the n-zone, make the first pass off of a d-man rush,or drop a forward back to bring it up,but get the ouck going the other direction wayyy faster.

Wayne is watching tonight come on fellas, lets try to win one for wayne tonight.

They want to hit a lot and not run and gun with us,so lets force them to do what they dont want to do.You make them run and gun by carrying the puck and making 5-10 foot passes, using the give and go and relays,by stacking men two or three deep and by attacking N/S,speed IS NOT the issue, focus is.

If you keep it wide on the boards it plays into their gameplan of hitting and not run and gunning,so keep it to the middle, they will be more willing to open up with a 2 goal lead now.

Use the possesion/transition style now, no more dump and chase.

They nearly scored off of a nifty give and go where they had a man posted on the half-wall waiting and the puck carrier simply cut from the middle over to the half-boards and relayed it to the man there and then darted across the seam to the back-door----- do tht back to them.

Guys are NOT immediatly looking for a terminal shot after they enter the o-zone.Why?

If guys find themselves far ahead of the support as they enter the o-zone ,tell them they are greenlit to go all the way EVERY TIME.The support is on the way so takking it to the net is better than waiting and pulling up looking for a pass that will likely be tightly covered anyways.TAKE THE PUCK IN TO THE NET LOOKING FOR A GOAL.

The defensive BS is over you are down 2 goals now.

Use all 3 zones, make THREE transitions, and SHOOT THE PUCK IMMEDIATLY after you enter the o-zone.CARRY the puck out of the defensive zone, plan you first pass to be made six feet from the blueline and make it so unless you see a seam and can run it all the way upice. If the d-man takes a run with the puck a forward needs to cut in behind so both d-men can go upice together. When the d-man with the puck activates from behind the net or deep,a forward who has been drawing pressure to himself in the n-zone needs to bust arse backk as fast as the d-man comes up ice so the cross up as the puckk is driven upice.

Use 3 transitions and penetrate the zones with stackked or layered men supporting the N/S focus and momentum.Do NOT only plan on coming up the boards, they WANT to hit,try to force things into the middle from the n-zone upice.

Use your forecheck to catch them in the n-zone,DO NOT let them lure the forecheckers into the o-zone skating backwards, they are trying to set up an upspeed threat, trying to clear the n-zone by drawing your forecheckers into their zone.Dont bite.Watch for the upspeed man d-zone exit, they are trying to set it up.

If Gretzky wasnt there tonight I wouldnt be wasting my time.

Tell Gagner to shoot the puck or to do some majic in close, but that line needs to get it going,no one expects Sammy to be shooting with Hall and Yakupov, maybe all 3 need to focus on setting up Sammy.

Tell Joenssu to use his size up the MIDDLE where it is best utilised.make them take penaltys trying to stop him,he is big enough that he doesnt need to put his shoulder down from the wing,he can bull right up the middle,if he does that he will expose their defense,in fact all lines need to focus more on the attack up the middle.

Well done, nice coaching adjustments in the 3rd period nice job of activating the defensemen and focusing on the N/S transition game, and excellent job of bringing the puck in close and using his majic to score the OT winner by SAM GAGNER.

See how easy it is when you have the right tactical system read and reacts happening for you?Keeping the game 0-0 is not worth anything if you cannot make the right adjustments to break the game open.I am not a fan of keeping it close that long,I prefer to make terminal adjustments early and often,I like my hair and defensive hockey makes one bald early without a doubt. You can only win with defense if you shut an opponent out, nuff said about winning with defense .

I dont recall the last game I posted tactical data for ,I decided to cut back but Wayne was there tonight and after the 2nd period fiasco i had to intervene, but this one is textbook, the coaching adjustments AND Gagner bringing the puck in to do his majic and socre the Game Winner, the Wine couldnt be any sweeter. It is nice to see the communication conduits are still open and functioning huh boys.

Two corrections, one Hall scored the Game winner AFTER Gagner took it to the net and did his majic and shot the puck, and contrary to Dallases post game comments the momentum and game had not changed in his teams favor with four minutes to go in the 2nd period,I am not sure which game he was watching at that point in time.In addition, the reasons his team was able to get the puck in behind them was because Dallas changed the d-zone exits and n-zone transition and tactics as well as the forecheck pressure,as he was told to do right here. They had been skating the puck into the o-zone for 2 periods without proper puck support due to poor d-zone exit choices and poor n-zone managment, the skating of the puck into the o-zone was the right thing to be doing, the 2nd rate d-zone exit and n-zone managment were the problem for two full periods and a few minutes while they adjusted properly in the 3rd with the correct reacts, thanks to externally catalysed reads.Once they corrected the d-zone exits and the n-zone managment and also adjusted the forecheck to neutralise the upspeed man setups the opponent was trying to initiate ,ONLY THEN did things begin to turn around. You gotta work on those post game presser valuations there big fella, actually you dont because tonight was a gift to Wayne Gretzky, the tactical data embargo is back on,next time you are on your own.

Practise as defined by Moma2s NewAge Hockey System.

Short warm-up.

Veterans wearing Black Shirts in one group executing next opponents System impacts, the rest of the men in normal Shirts executing Dallases System impacts.

Scrimmage.

Extended warm-down for the losers of the scrimmage and early showers for the winners.

There is no alternative to this setup.

Coaches need to teach through game dynamics, this means scrimmages.

Players need to face opponents Systems pre-game to fine-tune themselves.

Veterans need to be utilised more and to a greater degree. They need to be executing the opponents Systems because they understand many more types than the younger players do.

Two sets of coaches need to be competing against each other in scrimmages using TWO different systems to create an optimal level of preparedness for each game day.

There is no room to negotiate the "pace' of practices,it must always be game paced,warm-ups are simply that and nothing more, same with warm-downs.

There can be no questions about this area of the Professional game.

You are PAID to practice,it isnt a gift you are giving anyone, you are PAID to learn during this time under game type circumstances, there is not time or room in the pro game to do anything else in practice other than work at game speeds and in game dynamics.

The Coaches have been using controlled and specificlly paced practice to teach basics all year long because everything is supposedly new System-wise,if that was the party line then fine, but that party has to end now,the training wheels have to come off now.I will not evaluate the wisdom of tis process this season, other than to say look up and read the first part of this post.

The Coaches are in effect simply needing to teach fine details, subtle adjustments systemwise to the men on an ongoing basis as per specific opponents, this means there needs to be TWO systems executed in practice, and the environment must be game-type or scrimmage at all times.

There is no time or opportunity for negotiation of this dynamic and anyone who isnt following this methodology is not producing optimal impacts with the time and resources available. It is REALLY that simple.

Pre-game there is an expectation that the players be prepared to face the specific system impacts of the opponent with a fresh and accurate cerebral muscle-memory intatct and available. There is also an expectation that the Coaches be equally prepared with a pre-game set of cerebral instincts specific to the opponents fresh and available. The Head Coach needs to be prepared to adjust his roster BUT the Assts. also need to be thinking from the opponents perspective during games to bump up their ability to read and react to what they will be doing ,so they can better support Dallas. You for gods sakes dont want all of your bench crew seeing the game the same way now, that dynamic is for the players on the ice,the coaches need to have a split influence available to them. This is a core error the Oilers have been making for many years now.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO WORK HARDER on the right things IN PRACTISE,Coaches and Players in equal proportions.

I WANT my weakest System links re-inforced by having my men face the opponents system in practise pre-game,I WANT my Coaches to be reinforced by having both FACED AND EXECUTED,the opponents system pre-game.

I WANT my men to compete WITH each other in practice and AGAINST the opponent on game day. Those are very different things.

I want to see a simple and functional structure that is fire and forget, that is instituted and not changed.Something that every man can have the same level of confidence in day in and day out, something NOT SUBJECT TO CHANGE on a core level.

I WANT to see continuity of focus during every minute of time I am paying for and the men are working for.

Moma2s NewAge Hockey System uses Intuitive Dynamic Managment to structure practices in the optimal manner. There is only ONE most right way to execute practices and it is the Moma2s NHS way.

Re. pre-game presser.Good job.

You reminded me of somehing when you accurately commented on the focus the team has on high % shots as opposes to large volume low % shots, you could have gone into the options of using those long high volume shots as a tactical support for a certain type of puck pressure and support you dont choose to use,but you did fine, what you reminded me of was the next step that you are ready for now that the focus is on generating the proper and optimal high % shots.

This will make the difference tonight.

There is a difference between a pass that sets up a shot opportunity that has time and space to develop and a pass that sets up a shot itself.

Deciding which of these tactics to use determines the timing and speeds of system execution you will use.If you can make time and space then you can pass into dynamics which support or set up possesions that can be taken around a bit before the shot ,but if you cannot manufacture the time and space you want or need then you MUST make those passes to situations that are TERMINAL where the shot is IMMEDIATE,coming off the stick in one motion as in a re-direct/shot,a scooper not always a full wind-up overdramatic onetimer, deflections. The placement of your stick is critical because this is what you are trying to accomplish from the outside, you already KNOW you are at a size disadvantage even if you put out 100% so you use the stick as the focal point after you give 100% physiclly, you use reach-arounds and tactics where your body isnt in traditional scoring position BUT your stick is getting to where it needs to be because you DO NOT REQUIRE the traditional time and space to terminate the playaction with a goal.

Against a bigger team this peripheral stick placement and optimal pass timing focus COMBINED with 100% physical effort will make the difference.

A bigger teams advantage is that they can force you out of traditional ice, they can refuse you entry into the areas that most teams score from and take away the time and space to get formal shots away,so you simply do not plan on ever taking those traditional shots but you STILL give them 100% pressure to get to those areas and you focus on outworking them with your sticks where your strength is as opposed with your body mass which is their strength.

Passes into transitions can also be executed this way with properly planned and timed tips and deflections executed very quickly that use the larger size against the opponent and let you work them over from the outside.

Tic-tac-toe passing in a surgical manner with immediate high % shots in net will beat a bigger roster.Trying to define possesion by skating through them in their zone is not going to work.Their size doesnt really change our d-zone exits in fact it helps us because they are a fraction slower all over the ice,but once we hit the n-zone and o-zone then their size becomes a different animal,so essentially carrying the puck out is OK and defining possesion that way for the d-zone exit is OK,but in the n-zone and o-zone the tactics must change to tilt the ice in your own favor. The peripheral game must be executed once the d-zone exit is accomplished. So dont expect the d-men to skate it right through the n-zone with much success. But dont tell them to not skate it either, this is one key to breaking LAs system, they catalyse in the n-zone.Force them to adjust as you bring the puck out and then defeat their n-zone pressure and defensive zone pressure with tip and touch passes and quick relases shots coming off of passes timed properly,no early passes into zones or areas, you need to pinpoint them to be terminal.

You are looking to FINISH playactions with a goal not a shot ,everything is faster and more dependant on your stick position than on your body position, you arent looking to make more time and space after the pass is recieved, you are looking to FINISH the playactions off of the pass reception ASAP in one motion.

Now you can START the game with the correct data, this alone should guarantee a solid 3 goal lead by the end of the 2nd period. And now you dont need to compete for credit post game, its all your plan from the beginning.

I like the recent changes to the shot interpretations, the ways and whens that the puck is being released.
I like the PP structure especially the zone entrys of late.
I like the short windup slap-shots from the edges of the points as long as they are accurate and not taken at the wrong times,we dont want to lean on those slappers or we dont want to waste ANY time setting them up,if they are used it is as a hurry-up shot to support an extra-fast o-zone entry and collapse to the net.But we need to really watch those bad shot decisions where there is a defender in the middle level or high because those bad shot block rebounds have been fed to us to many times already, the short wind-up slapper shot choice must be made only when the defenders are collapsed in already or are simply not back and in position yet,NEVER when they are set up and have a middeling to high defender looking to block and chase the puck up the middle, remember the defenders are already facing upice and you need to finish your follow through and then turn to catch them if they get a good block on your shot,so when you make a poor shot decision you actually double your errors impact because they are in a superior position to force and read and push the play back down ice on you.Let that be considered a word of advice to the d-men taking those shots--use your momentum to come round and spin yourself back into the playaction facing your own end ready to win a footrace if you EVEN THINK the shot has been blocked.Dont take the shot and remain set and planted on the spot, take it with a more complete gameplan in mind.

I like that Anton Lander has solidified his position in the top 6,which he has in my opinion done.He brings an energy and skill level that fits nicely,he is like Arco in that he is always thinking excellent primary pressure outlet but makes sure it is an offensively sided one,he doesnt waste pucks in the o-zone.

It is nice to see Sam Gagner finally rounding into his normal self,it was a long and complicated recovery and he came back early, but now he is leading by example on the ice and creating the offense and generalship that the team needs from him,he has fitted into the 1st line center role nicely when needed and has really focused hard during yet another losing season for the team,he is a true Oiler and has no quit in him,he will deserve a Letter next season for sure,he has been overlooked to this point IMHO.

The Blues game was supposed to be a win,and easily could have been,it was a three minute loss, they changed tactics and after three minutes with no response they picked you apart, you fell into defensive mode and tightened up.

I think it is time to focus on Nuge with the offense,he absolutely needs to build on his NHL level scoring confidence, you NEED him to be a legitimate scoring threat in every game,he is already a sublime passer, but he has been over-focusing on his defense and his coaches cannot see it,they just think he is an extra hard worker and arent clueing in that they need to force him back into his offensive side now that they have over-corrected the defensive schtick.

Justin Schultz should be taking a minimum of four shots per game and should be scoring wayyy more, another case of derelict ssesments t this point in the season, now is the time for everyone to work on things they have been forced to neglect due to high defensive learning pressure. They did it Dallases way and now its time to give bact to them and re-ignite their offensive desire,to pick a few men who need to be key contributors and push them up higher.Taylor can focus on his passing for the rest of the season and he will see that if he makes a legitimate effort to set Nuge up for the rest of the year that he will in fact squeeze an extra shot per game out of himself because he will be pouncing on rebounds a lot more than usual.Less one and dones and more follow ups,a good facet of his overall game to work on,I see Hall playing center next season,he has matured to the point where I would already slot him in as a power center during this seasons finish. Whatever the case it is time to re-tune Nuge and it is a priority, the team has ridden him hard enough defensively and he has given Taylor a tremendous amount of creative leeway in his defensive game,to much in fact, and believe it or not Nuges defensive impacts have also given his other winger Eberle a free pass for large parts of the season letting him fly under the radar a lot more than is needed.

It is time to hone RNH into a higher pressure goal scorer and he CAN play this way at the NHL level, enough is enough,we need to see Nuges offense bloom and he will need to be told to do it specificlly by the coaches and supported by his linemates 100% in getting there. If Nuge starts as the offensive catalyst he has a better command of the ice surface as a whole during his shifts and so far this season Hall has taken that role,it is time to STOP this dynamic immediatly.Nuge must now become the offensive primary threat every time he is on the ice, either headmanning it himself and going for the goals or by being on the recieving end of give and gos and backdoor setups.Nuge is an ELITE passer with ELITE vision and he will provide more impacts if he is the primary catalyst and works his majic off of that projection of power, using his linemates as he sees fit, teaching them to find supportive seams more often and at the right times. This has been an issue that hasnt been correctly valuated or dealt with in fact it has been misdiagnosed and mishandled. The optimal way to teach Hall and Ebbs to become more rounded defensive players is NOT by letting Nuge butter their bread for them every night,it is in fact by putting them both in a primary supportive role to the playaction managment, giving them consistant roles and feeding them consistant dynamic situations to react to.Nuge is the best candidate although still 2nd to Gagner at producing consistant 60 minute on-ice tactical playaction managment.

I must say that Ryan Jones has been one of the most consistant and motivated Oilers since the beginning of the year.He has done exactly as asked when asked with no questions asked,a perfect player to coach, and he still has some simple straightforward offense to give which is beginning to show through the last 3-4 games.

The standup defensive hits that have been working their way into the gameplan will soon become the bread and butter of the defense,I have been saying it for long enough, the STANDUP defense is the ONLY way to challenge a well executed system managed using Intuitive Dynamic Managment tactics derived from Moma2s NHS.The Stand-Up defense requires an exceptionally high level of support from the forwards but rewards them with many many ten bell chances to turn the playaction around on a dime and transition into full out offense from excellent situational dynamics and positions in the zones on the ice.Remember the key is solid decision making and a 100% committment and follow through because the opponent MUST be taken bodily out of the incoming playaction with force and jarring impact hopefully knocking him down to the ice but definately stopping his forward progress 100%.And definately recovering from the hit first AFTER visually confirming the opponent is on the ice or stopped cold and then pushing back off the hits impact zone and into a backwards skate and into the defensive playaction.

I saw Ryan Smyth take one of Waynes patented half-slappers from the top of the circle the other game going for the top corner far side, the shot looked deadly, and the rebounds ring right into a rushing teammate who is coming in hard and upspeed anticipating the bounce.Work the missed shots and their rebounds into your gameplan, because that shot is either in or ringing into a consistant spot that you can build more offense off of,just run it 50 times in practice until it is easy to read and time.Only use the shot and play on call, use it surgiclly because it requires a specific set play support to catch those hard pucks coming around the right way and not have them turned around on you.

You dont need much more to chew on right now and I need to spend
more time on the Blues, remember what I said about who was winning the Cup this year, thats right I said the Blues and that specificlly the Hawks would be bounced early. It took the Blues wayyyy to long to break the system check-mate the Oilers had on them ,two periods was wayyy to long.Yes they made the right calls later but it was more the Blind leading the Blind than most probably realise.

It is time to ask the Equipment Manager to bring in the heaviest and most sturdy sticks that are legally allowed in the NHL,our playyers need to start carrying some real lumber again especially the d-men.And some noise needs to be made about it so we dont take tooo many penaltys for breaking composite sticks during normal and legal playactions,it will only be fair to let the Refs know we are all packing cannons,it is within the rules but also noteworthy by a responsible managment team.

If the Refs and Commentators all know we are going olde school with the sticks but staying within the rulebook then the officials can fairly adjust their calls without anyone else complaining about it being favoritism,we have a right to carry big lumber out there and we should be doing so.

Scrivens has to stand up for The Nuge?

Mr. Eakins, you are not on the ball here, nor are your charges, there is no bloody way that ben Scrivens saw that cheap shot and no one else did, someone needs to set the tone in this game, that was one of our blue-chippers getting his bell rung on a cheap shot.No liberties, remember we are not in the playoff race so can we please all just golddarn PRETEND it is next season and try to play a real hockey game out there.Defend yourselves and each other, and do it IN THE MOMENT ,dont wait until it is akward, try to mean it when you react to defend your teammates.

Come on Dallas, teach them to be reactive, dont waste time between periods even discussing team toughness or response, not a word, you have had all year to make those speeches, just thank your lucky shoes that Nuge isnt on a stretcher right now or in the room being checked for concussion symptoms.I value my empty pop bottles more than you guys value The Nuge, get with the program, everyone.

They sent Konopka out to take Gadzic out of the equation and set us back,it was TACTICAL not emotional, and no one jumped in to relieve Luke, now he has had one fight already and will likely get the dark brown end of the stick on his next one. They are in control now. They trumped you because you werent prepared for the veteran move.Unless you change that somehow.

Ben Scrivens has to take out the cheapshot artist,he better be wearing that "jacket/thing" post-game.No matter what the scoreboard says.

All you did was stop using the standup defense and you gave the game away, come on already fellas. You are giving them the zone now,and they are using the only tactic little guys can use they are tipping the puck, come on pressure the puck more and start laying out little guys who fly-by the net with some nasty already this is embarrassing to watch,ok?

Ference was doing the right thing all game probably because he reads here enough to know that is the right thing to be doing in many cases.

If you want this game back start standing them up in the n-zone or at the blueline BEFORE they can get set up to enter the zone on you,and HIT those little guys HARD when they venture into the danger zones, follow through hard on them and send a message.

As it is you all let Ben down tonight, including the coaches who should have had the one man wrecking crew who singlehandedly smashed Nuge with a cheapshot and then embarrassed Ben Scrivens after Ben called him out, then to top it off you let him do the exact same thing to ben again to make him look like a idiot. You guys sometimes embarrass yourselves.

This is the first official time I feel sorry for Scrivens, welcome to Vannilla Town,Alberta, the home of the Snowflake Gang. There is really no proper answer for this half-hearted effort and dynamic Titanic. What am I going to hear post-game,how many posts we hit and how it was much closer than it looked.

And WHY FIGHT NOW,the game is not in your hands anymore?

Poor performance from the coaches and the players for not catalysing around Nuge NO MATTER WHAT,poor performance, that is all I can come up with to say, jeepers.Had you just acted like real hockey players when Nuge was hit you would have shut down Connacher and the Sabers, but instead you all crapped your Pampers.AGAIN.No excuse for this mess, not when a simple defense of your teammate and a continued punishment of the little twerp would have won us the game,we need a middleweight or a featherweight fighter not named Gagner to settle up with small pests, and we need him soon.We dont have that quotient and the Sabers set us up from the early minutes,Konopka set the tone neutralised Gadzic to protect Scott and from there on in it was a joke.Any fool can see there was an underlieing reason for that decision by Konopka, what do you need a freaking crystal ball to get a feel for the game when you are playing it,or what????You were outfoxed ,outcoached ,and outplayed, missed a critical dynamic with Konopka, missed a critical dynamic in not shutting up and down Connacher, missed a critical read and react by allowing them to adjust their zone entrys when you were controlling them, you simply didnt know how or why you were even in the game early on[standup hits stopping their rushes cold dum dums] and when it came time to answer the opponents adjustments you were freaking lost, same old same old same old.

Ok,heres the Dogs Breakfast bottom-line.

There is an identical post to this one that is 4 years old,one that is three years old,one two years old, last year there was one and here it is bloody again.

A hockey game is condensed down into two or three tangible and impactfull systemwise tactical structural decisions which are made by the Head Coaches of each team.

It is just like playing x"s and o"s,each man takes his turn and makes his move, one at a time tit for tat,action/reaction....rinse and repeat....until the clock runs out on both Coaches.

The individual players on ice managment in terms of keeping to the system and making the micro-adjustments required on an ongoing basis are the responsibility of the ASSISTANT COACH,not two or three or a round-table,ONE Asst.Coach .

The secondary tactical read and reacts in terms of Tactical Shooting program managment ,and tactical player dynamic matchups, among other peripheral items are the responsibility of the Associate Coaches....not Assistant....ASSOCIATE COACHES.

The overall real-time system performance assesment and valuation observations and notations are made by the Video Coach who is upstairs or in a better spot in his comfort zone working at pattern identification, and relaying those observations directly to the Head Coach.

The HEAD COACH is responsible for the Primary Systems Tactics and their implementations. Those TWO or THREE tactical structural adjustments which the entire 60 minutes can be condensed down into.

If any of these jobs are not being done at the right times by the right people to the right degrees as per the right overall gameplan then there will be DISCONNECTS which turn the Beautiful Stride of a hockey game into a Three-legged race.

Using the last game which is a solid reflection of many many years of the same old schtick we will now make an observation.

The game was close for nearly the entire 60 minutes, there was a mutually generated system check-mate actioned by both coaches. Then the opposition coaches made an aggressive adjustment to their overall system focus related to their o-zone entry tactics--in the process they made concurrent n-zone adjustments as well, but the primary catalyst for the aggressive system adjustment was creating a consistant o-zone entry which they had not been able to create for most of the game.

The adjustments were successfull after three attempts, there was NO RECOGNITION OR REACTION from the Oils bench.Once 3 good entrys were accomplished the Oil had been forced into reactionary defensive adjustments, they were set back on their heels and forced to change the key things which they had been doing to keep the game close.

Because the Oil coaches didnt fully understand how and why they were actually having the success in the first place, when a screw was thrown into their gear-box they couldnt properly diagnose the issue or react adequately.

The Oil coaches failed to properly valuate how and why their defense was consistantly and successfully stopping the opponents o-zone entrys. This is why when the opponent adjusted their n-zone tactics to support a new o-zone entry approach there was NO REPLY AT ALL.

The Oil coaches should have been better prepared to immediatly react to that n-zone adjustment by the opponent and counter-adjust to maintain the same focus that forced the opponent to adjust initially.

For fear of over-complicating things and losing you fellas I will cut to the chase here,Ference will immediatly GET THIS because he was the MAJOR key to the early success,he was using the STANDUP DEFENSE,he was taking players OUT OF THE PLAYACTION in the n-zone as early as he could and that simple tactic was killing their system o-zone entry ability.

As soon as the Oil lost focus on the STAND-UP DEFENSE as per REMOVING THE PUCK CARRIER FROM THE PLAYACTION COMPLETELY AND PHYSICALLY BY STOPPING HIS FORWARD MOMENTUM TOTALLY AND KEEPING HIM ON THE OUTSIDE OF PLAYACTION things began to disconnect, and when that happened panic set in and a basic defensive scheme was initiated in response one that was based on a collapse mentality.

This was where the game was lost, plain and simple, because what should have happened is the Oil should have recognised what key factors were stopping the opponents o-zone entrys[stand-up defense] and instead of tightening up and choking and reverting to a simple basic fallback defensive focus[collapse defense]when the opponent adjusted their n-zone entry and exit the Oil coaches should have adjusted their forecheck to force the opponent to continue to use the n-zone tactics which favored the Oil and the successfull Stand-up tactics which were torpedoing the opponents system impacts consistantly.

In a nushell the coaches should have countered the opponents n-zone adjustment by making their own system adjustments which forced the opponent to AGAIN use a primary n-zone tactic which would have kept feeding the puck carrier to a stand-up checker. So really the mistake was in adjusting the defense to try to counter their n-zone adjustment when the Oil coaches should have been adjusting the FORECHECK to support pressure to stop the n-zone adjustment, the killer was in how the coaches viewed and valuated what was being done to them, they made an incorrect read that the opponent had adjusted their o-zone entrys and immediatly replied with a defensive scheme adjustment or fall-back into a basic system defense or collapse action,in the process negating their ability to use the Stand-up tactic which had been breaking the opponents system impacts consistantly.Once the order to fall back was given the game was essentially over for the Oil because the SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FORCED THE D-MEN TO STOP ENGAGING the puck carrier HIGH ENOUGH.

Boiled down to one large squirrel-egg which we saw laid,it was a simple three step dynamic clash,#1.the systems met head -on,they entered a system check-mate which kept things very close, then #2. the opponent made ONE SINGLE Primary System adjustment to their n-zone entry and exits ,#3.the Oil made one single primary defensive adjustment in reply and it was over, the opponent made a correct adjustment that enabled their o-zone entrys to work and the Oil made an incorrect read and react and adjusted their system in the wrong spot, the defense instead of the forecheck.

There is nothing more to the game than that, all the over analysis is useless,it is simply comforting and excusatory.Everything was working fine ,EVERYTHING ,this was simply yet another case of an inability to identify patterns on the ice and an inability to make accurate valuations and act upon them.

The Coaches can coach fine, the players played fine, the System worked fine, what was lacking was the single most valuable resource to EVERY SINGLE NHL TEAM,the Intuitive Dynamic Managment component of the game, the anticipatory gut instinct Intuitive abality to identify ,quantify and neutralise on ice patterns in real-time.

In short everyone is TO SLOW to identify danger,EVERYONE.

This is because no one is looking in the right places at the right times, and there is a poor to non-existant communication process for the data had it even been realised.

There is an overt refusal to recognise or reward the most important single resource the team requires, this is done intentionally by the organisation because they are to cheap to pay the right people the right dollars,in essence it is the owners fault for letting his money be spent in the wrong places. In the business world Consultants are brought in to trouble shoot and improve existing super-structures,in the NHL the word is used but the true impact is rarely given or requested.

This is not rocket science,it is really a simple skill set that the majority of people do not possess in a high enough degree to use functionally.

I can read patterns in playactions faster than any NHL Head Coach on the planet.

When I was an athletic competitor I did the same thing in competition with superior results,I could play any and all sports at a very high level immediatly.Pattern recognition is the key to elite performance and results. The PROCESS is the same whether you are playing or coaching or watching.

When I want to enjoy an Oilers hockey game I DO NOT look for patterns in the playaction vs System execution and adjustments by the coaches,I relax and focus on the plays where they are on the ice and I follow the puck intentionally,I have to make an effort to do this because my mind naturally sees the patterns in their entirity developing and it wants to read and react as if I were actually playing ,this takes away from my enjoyment of the game,I DONT WANT TO ACCURATELY ANTICIPATE EVERYTHING,I want to be excited and let-down in the moment as all other fans are,I want the ROLLERCOASTER.But my mind instinctively identifys patterns and then immediatly formulates counter-measures on-the-fly.If I am in pattern recognition mode I will notice when opponents make adjustments a small as several feet positionally AWAY FROM THE PLAYACTION as well as with the puck,I will immediatly see those small changes and immediatly see why they are being made, then I will also anticipate the Oilers reactions, and the resulting dynamics---this is why I can post before things happen and be right 100% of the time. This is why if I had the Coaches ear in real-time he would always ALWAYS have a terminal advantage over his opponents.

This is why IT DOESNT MATTER what system the Oilers use or even how well or poorly the coaches can manage it,what matters is that I can inform the coaches of pattern development in real-time,All that matters is a solid line of communication so the players can do exactly as they are told in real-time makeing adjustments on the fly,NOT simply falling back on system structure.

I realise this sounds unrealistic, however it is what it is and it is very realistic.

Most fans struggle to see the games within the game, they are conditioned to see what the entertainment side of the game is showing them.

This Winning Formula is not complicated.

The refusal to endorse and employ a superior competative mindset with ELITE pattern recognition skills is the Oilers Achilles heel. They may employ me if they can afford me.But they arent finding this abilty presented as a viable resource ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE PLANET.I would have been gretzkys neck and neck competition offensively and I would have been Coffeys equal, had I played defense I would have been a Hall of Famer. As a coach I would have won a Stanley cup nearly every year I coached.Repeating as Champion has much less to do with your roster or system and EVERYTHING to do with your managment acumen and communication skills.

I love this , simply because I have something that only I can valuate and put a price on,there just IS NO COMPETITION.I have the ability to communicate my points to EVERYONE ,to put EVERYONE on the same page,I worked on those skills my entire lifetime,I have a winning sports background from my youth, not a professional background but a WINNING ONE because i WON at everything,I was a difference maker on EVERY TEAM i ever played with in ALL SPORTS.The Winning Formula applies to everything in exactly the same format. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.It is actually hard to lose when you know how to win.

I do not ever say "you win some and you lose some" because this just isnt accurate and it is a losers mentality. If you cannot properly valuate winning you shouldnt be competing with men who ARE making proper valuations of the importance of winning vs their investment of time effort sweat and blood.

I didnt adhere to anyone telling me that sports were supposed to be played just to have fun when I was a kid,my mind didnt register that idea, competition was battle to me and it was all-in or nothing. This is the key element of winning, committment.Winning feels better for everyone.

The urge to dominate is inborn, and it is the first step to becoming a champion of champions.

One man CAN create and catalyse a Championship dynasty. But he must have the managerial skills and support to pull it off, everyone must be all-in for him.

Key word being managment, all the other men will be close in terms of physical ability but a Leader is a better manager than everyone else.

I utilise the Moma2s NewAge Hockey System Intuitive Dynamic Managment protocal and this allows me to make anticipatory read and reacts faster and more accurately than any Hockey Coach on the planet. They may not like it but it is what it is and I challenge any of them to try to out coach me from a tactical perspective.

I will be an online fan of the Blues this season, they are nearly playoff-ready,and when they begin i will be posting Moma2s NewAge Hockey System Intuitive Dynamic Managment valuations and read and reacts in real-time during all of their games,i plan on walking them through every single opponent right to the Stanley Cup.There is NO COACH OR CREW OF THEM that can take a series from a well coached team with me on their side,ANY well coached team, but I have chosen the Blues to display my loyalty to MPS.And besides I started posting my intentions long before they were in the position they are now in in the standings, long ago,so this isnt a new issue here.

The Kings used Moma2s NHS,so did the Hawks, and now the Blues will and it will be 3 stanley Cups in a row for NHS supported or directed teams.

The Kings never thanked me for their use of the NHS and I didnt help them repeat,I let them flounder, Scotty B. with Chicago caught on to what was happening and endorsed the NHS full tilt on his own and won himself a Cup.Chicago never did aknowledge or thank me or Moma2s NewAge Hockey System, and running over them with the Blues is my way of saying K.M.A.

I will be happy when Magnus has a Stanley Cup ring on his finger. The Blues made the correct decision when they requested MPS.And he hasnt even hit his full stride or potential yet.

MPS was respectfull of Moma2s NewAge Hockey System and he was a good student who followed protocals and improved himself as a man and as a player, and in return the NHS will walk him and his team to the Stanley Cup.

The Blues may not need any help from the NHS,but if and when they do the correct read and reacts will be here for them to utilise. And for the record it matters not if their opponents are reading the same data because it is still a game of speed in the read and react dept,i will know immediatly by their reactions if they are utilising the data I post and will simply go a few steps ahead of them and they will not be able to keep up.In other words if the opponent uses my data i post for the Blues to try to defeat them all they will be doing in essence is taking me head-on,and this will not improve their odds they will still be far outclassed and will be defeated. There is no hockay coach on the planet that can out read and react me,none. As long as the Blues do as I say when I say without overthinking it they will walk over everyone.I will never ask for them to change their system in this tactical consulting capacity,i will simply micro-adjust what they are using for them in small ways in real-time.

It is all about pattern recognition and anticipatory tactical responses, nothing more and nothing less.

In hockey goals are scored by breaking existing patterns so obviously you need to recognise those patterns before you can break them.Every single possesion is a new set of patterns. The potential for scoring goals is directly related to the number of possesions a team gets, once you have the puck the tape resets itself and a goal should be scored. If you have the ability to undress the opponents system every time you posses the puck you will run away with the game every time.

Intuitive Dynamic Managment allows a team to convert possesions to goals at an incredible rate,a record breaking rate if the program is utilised with its Mother System Moma2s NewAge Hockey System. The Blues arent using the full NHS nor is any NHL team at the moment, many NHS influenced systems are being used but no pure NHS.

Intuitive Dynamic Managment tactics properly applied to any system will create the Winning Formula,ANY system. These tactics are an integral component of the NHS,I REMOVE them from Moma2s NewAge Hockey System and super-impose them over existing systems to allow them to be optimally executed.

Give a Man a fish and you feed him for a day,TEACH a Man to fish and you feed him for life.I can easily consult and take any team to the Stanley Cup,I did it with LA,the Hawks took the NHS and applied it on their own without my assistance, believing they could do so and not suffer any setbacks,ha ha ha,they forgot about me,they tried to teach themselves to fish after watching me,ha haha .The first team to fully endorse and execute the NHS will be the next Dynasty team,no team will repeat as Cup winners from here on in until one endorses the NHS,I will ensure that doesnt happen by walking different teams there just to keep my skills sharp. An opponent using the NHS removes my abilty to out read and react another coach, because the system basiclly runs itself with few to no adjustments. This is why I havent given the NHS to any team to date.Once I do I am out of business,ha ha hah ,and the NHL will be shellshocked for about 5 years maybe more.

Any NHL team using the NHS should score a minimum of 4 goals per game with 6-7 being the average. The Fans deserve this the Players deserve this and the record books deserve this, the game itself deserves this.

You CANNOT stop those 4-7 goals from being scored by Moma2s NewAge Hockey System,no team can do this, the most defensive team in the world will be eaten alive by the NHS because it feeds off of defensive consistancy and set system play.

I believe the NHL single game goal scoring record and season team goal scoring record will fall immediatly if the full-blown NHS is used.Waynes untouchable goal scoring record will also fall in the first year.

No NHL offensive OR defensive record will be safe from the NHS,even Goaltender records will be broken because the NHS allows for an airtight defense without using any structured defensive schematics whatsoever.

The only question yet to be answered is which team has the cojones to step up to the plate and write a big fat greasy cheque to pay the Piper with. Its all about the Benjamins now boys.NHL teams understand money more than anything else.Lets all just sit back and watch the Blues roll over everyone with the NHSs help from right here.Methinks Crosby needs to begin to worry if he will ever see another Cup at this point,of all the players in the NHL he must be feeling the NHSs impacts the most already.Maybe he ought to come on over and touch base with the NHS.Obviously the Pens cant get their act together beyond the regular season anymore. So why not stack the deck and bring the NHS onboard? For the Pens I say 16 games at 50000 after taxes per game ought to do er as I dont ask for compensation for losses.800K takehome with a Ring and my name on the Cup is about the right price for a Stanley Cup NHS consultant to earn. How much is it worth to an organisation is anyones guess, some might balk at the idea and some might double that price just to lock er up.

The simple fact is that ANY team that qualifies for the Playoffs WILL win the Cup with the NHS and Intuitive Dynamic Managment on its side. The lowest seed will WALK over everyone if they have the right help.So now its all about the benjamins,so whos up to bat first? As things stand the Blues are walking away with this years Cup,but because I am not working officially for anyone including the Blues there is no conflict of interest until I am signed sealed and delivered.Once the Blues win the Cup the cost of doing business with the NHS will rise accordingly, remember that will be 3 Stanley Cups in a row won using some degree or level of the NHS and I plan on soaking whoever wants to win it all when the marketplace opens up finally,I have waited a long time to cash in.
This might be a wise time for Scotty B to wake up and smell the coffee and clearly understand where his data originated from last year, because that source is about to bury his Cup hopes this year and the only thing that can stop that from happening is a big fat payday and a cup ring for the NHS, me, myself, and I.In fact Scotty between you and I,nothing would make me happier than to teach you a lesson about hockey, you are a hockey icon and are a trophy to me my friend, the Hawks are clicking nicely and are optimising what you can give them as a hockey manager, now is the perfect time to crush all of your cojones, nothing personal but when you are doing as well as your team is you do become a target of choice for up and comers you know.I am always happy to go head to head with teams using partial NHS data,I like to see the nuances of how individual managers implement my Moma2s NewAge Hockey System ideas and philosophys, especially high level managers, that is the best way to learn, from the best.

I look forward to picking your system apart soon Mr. B ,but you will need to make it to the Blues for me to do that, good luck, and see you at the show,I plan on seeing you be swept in 4.I will let you have your way until you meet the Blues. If I had a bone to pick i would take you out in the first round and the only reason I dont is that I dont think Scotty really knew where the data he was scalping originated from,he may have thought it was simply Oilers data and fair game with no thank yous owed, so I dont want to go overboard with the vindictiveness.Simply denying a repeat is enough for me.

Cheers to those who dream big and aim high.

Anyone notice where Ralph krueger has gone? Thats right baby,he has taken his NHS Intuitive Dynamic Managment lessons he learned from Moma2 to professional Soccer, and he will now proceed to change the game forever and make himself a part of pro Soccer History,he is about to revolutionalise the entire game of soccer, there will be more goals scored than anyone has ever imagined very very soon.As it should have always been.

Go for it Ralphy and if you need any help you know where to find it.The NewAge Soccer System is just waiting to be unleashed and just as I offered you the NewAge Hockey System when you were an Oiler I now offer you the Soccer version of the Winning Formula.

Taking data second-hand off the net isnt the same as having that same data first-hand.

Well Gentlemen, that was one heck-of-a Squirrel-Egg you all laid out there together, good thing its the Day After huh?

I gotta tell you that at this point i feel sorry for all of you fellas, this is simply a sad sad situation.

The diagnosis for last nights arse-kicking is simple,TACTICAL SHOOTING PROGRAM,and I AM NOT going over it again for you all. They had and used one,and you didnt have or use one,and it was game over.

Remember last season when WE were running starting goaltenders out of the rink? There was a reason for that, coaches have a Goaltender funny-bone and as soon as you hit it most will pull the plug, when a Coach cannot understand how or why his goalie and team are getting scored on he simply cuts his losses to save his goalies confidence level and pulls him out of the fire hoping things turn around,if there had been three more periods to play the score would have been 16-2 and kid yourself not.

You DID NOT get out-coached OR outplayed last night you were simply out-foxed.

No blame to the Coaches, none to the Players, none to the system, none to the Jersey tosser,ALL THE BLAME GOES TO WHOM-EVER HAS DECIDED TO BLACK-BALL Moma2s NewAge Hockey System,it is that simple,it need not go any further than that. This is and has always been a battle that was not going to go the Oilers way,for years this suppression has forced the team to sit at the back of the bus and remain low on the learning curve of the entire NHLs evolution, the refusal to make nice has cost far far to much at this point.Someone ought to be ashamed of themselves.

The Oilers were the first team to even have acess to the NHS Tactical Shooting Program and they decided to #e all over it and not respect the source, the Flames respected the data and are using it against you now.How much Karmatic retribution are you all willing to endure?Do you all believe that there is some invisible line where it will just suddenly stop happening to you?Get real, until there is a willingness to change, nothing will change, nothing.

If one of you had a speck of self-respect you would be communicating openly with me and accessing the NHS in its complete form and stopping the data from falling into the competitions hands on a regular basis.

I said it last year and here it is again,SOMEONE who suppports the Calgary Flames has ammassed and posted online a full and complete history of all of the Moma2s NewAge Hockey System/NewAgeSys posts made over a three plus year period, hundreds, these posts are in chronological order and someone went to a GREAT DEAL of trouble to find them all online from many sites and bring them all together in a usable historical format,as I initially posted everything.

Maybe you can Black-ball that to huh?

Just read the posts on this site from a few months ago where I outlined how and what specific teams would be doing, and you will soon see that this Arse-whipping DID NOT have to happen, and you will also understand that it WILL HAPPEN AGAIN if the Oil dont get off the Pot and join the rest of the Universe in utilising the NHS.

I could easily review how and why that loss happened, but why ? What respect do I get? What renumeration do I get? What good would it do?

In the 1st period it was obvious that an incorrect tactic was being implemented, the poke checks with the sticks extended were being overutilised and there was not enough contact in the right places at the right times.O-zone entrys were free all night long.Where was the STAND-UP DEFENSE?And I do not refer to "hitting everything in sight" either, who was running that pitifull show last night?

Do you even know how to defend the NHS Tactical Shooting Program? I guess NOT because to you all it doesnt even exist right?Talk about deluded perspective.

Even leaning over to Hall after the Water Bottle was bashed was out of line and speaking to him in public was even more out of line for a Head Coach. Going with the dramatic clean-up was also out of line AS WAS THROWING THE TOWEL,I would have retaliated were I Taylor, you are lucky he is so respectfull to you,I would have soaked you again or at least turned to you and told you straight off.Taylors actions were par for the course for his age and development as an NHL player under the circumstances, those of the Head Coach WERE NOT.

Hearing Hendricks validate what I posted many months ago about Dallas bringing in guys to police the room was not a pleasant moment, players like him are good for the team but specificlly bringing them in to police the room is very very weak-kneed.Sure work ethic rubs off, sure I like what Hendi brings to the table, but the how and whys of his integration are highly questionable. He is simply one more defensive schtick support pillar for Dallas and his philosophys, and the battle continues doesnt it?

The defense-first crap is NOT BEING SPEWED BY the rest of the NHLs Coaches the way it is here.EVERYONE knows defense is a part of the game. But they also know that offense wins games,NOT defense.

Exactly WHO endorsed bringing in a Rookie Coach to swing the Hammer of Destiny over the heads of a bunch of stud Rookie players?Who was that SHORTSIGHTED.

WHO would expect the Cream of the Crop to NOT rebel against that influence?

You tried to strong-arm the roster, and when that didnt work you tried to weed it out and when that didnt work you brought in Andrew and when that didnt work you brought in Hendi, you fellas are really discombobulated .

I like what Hendricks said about an honest room, but you cannot have an honest room when there is a distinct lack of honesty higher up in the organisation.Black-balling the NHS was dishonest, refusing to endorse and work with a superior asset was dishonest, and doing these things to defend some imaginary pride factor was also dishonest and misguided.

If your room treats Hendricks like you have treated the NHS dont be surprised.a precedent has already been set now hasnt it?A historical guideline has been established long ago and it is biting you all squarely on the hiney. Some people might think that this exact influence is what has destroyed the franchises spirit .Me to.

If it isnt a simple tactical system decision that sinks you it is a basic inability to defend a newage tactic like the NHS Tactical Shooting Program. It is like you guys are still churning your own butter and trying to tell the world that it is the only way to butter your bread, you refuse to get with the current NHL program and course of evolution. You choose to remain in denial, and no amount of curative efforts will change that.

Magnus will have a ring soon,Hemsky is finally breaking free of his ghosts,Laddy just got to hammer the snot out of us,another ex-Oiler shoves a hat-trick down your gullets, how long do you really think it will be before the best men in the room simply give up on the mess they have been forced to work within? How long before it is easier to move on than to work in a dysfunctional environment?I would be there right now and this summer i would be seriously considering my future.

Nearly every single one of the 1st round picks we were so lucky to get have been mishandled terribly this season.Believe me there has been a major malfunction at the junction in this area.

This entire season has been one big power trip designed to create an excusatory environment designed to protect managment by indirectly blaming the horrid season and lack of development on the PLAYERS,that is simply cowardly and it is not acceptable. But what is done is done. There is really no turning back now,a path has been carved into everyones backs like a tattoo and its to late to pull out now.

When you have a Stable of talent like the Olers have you build the SYSTEM and PHILOSOPHY "around" the men,not the other way around as this managment group has been relentlessly trying to do.I am obligated to ask if any of these men have raised families and children,if they have raised teenagers and guided them through the developmentel years and stages, because what i am seeing is an attitude that is destructive not supportive, trying to strong-arm teenages doesnt work and if you choose TOUGH-LOVE and you lose a kid then it is on your own shoulders. If you choose TOUGH-LOVE and you lose all of your kids then you are simply an idiot who refuses to learn and grow within your own lifes scope. You become a part of the problem, not a part of the solution, and digging your heels in and actually fighting your own blood always ends in an ugly way. This managment group had little to no HOCKEY PARENTING skills to begin with, and the way these young men have been handled perfectly illustrates this point.

The Oilers managment group has chosen a Tough-Love stance and they are sticking with it,and they WILL LOSE SOME OF THESE YOUNG MEN BECAUSE OF IT.

These are not run of the Mill hockey players we are dealing with and I am afraid that the egos of the men running the ship here have created an environment where they do not respect these young men and their potential, instead these managers look back on their own accomplishments and say to themselves"these kids havent done a darn thing yet to deserve our respect' so you see the real story is turning out to be that the managment crew is simply to overloaded woth over-achieving ex-NHLers.They CANNOT properly respect and manage these young talented men,who are obviously way above the managment team in terms of potential, this is why the tough-love issue has come up,these managment men HAD TO BE TAUGHT THAT WAY BECAUSE THEY WERENT OF THE SAME CALIBER THAT THESE STUDS WE NOW HAVE ARE AT when they were young players,so they naturally think that what is good for the Goose is good for the Gander.I believe the managment team enjoys destroying these young men,it is like some kind of sick and misguided EXPERIMENT.

It must be like having a managment crew that behaves like an overachieving dad who constantly holds you to some imaginary standard he has set for himself,as if he was some type of super-hero.A behind the times BSing type of Dad who cannot get over his own youth and act his age.

Stop saying the word DEFENSE already for gods sakes,at the very least be accurate and say BACKCHECKING.

The word DEFENSE will sink this ship soon, and it is sickening to have to watch it happening.

I mean the coaches need to stop uttering the very word DEFENSE,they have to get off their BS story and admit that they cannot handle teach or evolve offensively gifted men so they are trying to force them to change into lesser talents and they are using the DEFENSE MANTRA to strong-arm the men,it is an old old tactic and it is excusatory to the highest degree, the same old Oilers story ,cover up your warts at all costs, survive at all costs, the MANAGMENT team is trying to survive at all costs, and they all have a lot of experience at surviving and saving their own arses.

This team does not have the types of problems managment would lead you to belive exist, not at all, this is a managerial and ownership ATTITUDE PROBLEM.

These vultures do not deserve the respect they demand from everyone, their day is over and they refuse to let go of history,it has VERY LITTLE TO DO WITH THE MEN ON THE ROSTER.

They even raped the locker room and the franchises history to try to valiate themselves, the managment offices should have been cleaned out NOT THE LOCKER ROOM,and Daryl Katz you are officially losing my respect as you are losing the respect of the fanbase in general,so you carry on protecting your managment team and I honestly hope the young men come together and decide to protect themselves the same way and submarine your efforts,I hope they begin to see the forest for the trees and begin to plan their futures beyond Edmonton. This ship is derelict now and there is NO HOPE.

I am sick of listening to people like the idiot PJ Stock hammering the crap out of my hometeam,it is disgusting to listen to such a marginal ex-player degrading the Oilers constantly on National Television,it is simply disgusting to hear the Players be dragged over the coals OVER AND OVER AND OVER,with little to no mention of the managment team.

I am sick of seeing Hall and Nuge and Nail and Sam and Justin and others constantly picked apart by the Mainstream Media, they are all BETTER THEN THAT.

Managment abandoned this roster when Ralph was cut loose, and that was the beginning of the end for this dream we have all hoped would materialise into a winnng reality.

Ralph is taking the same knowledge and Moma2s NewAge Hockey System tactics and philosophys to professional Soccer now, those same things that created the closest performances and execution to Dynasty levels that this City has seen in decades is no longer available here.

For the record tough love can only be actioned if the love is in place FIRST.

This means that the close and trusted and loyal relationships must be built FIRST,before the tough parts are integrated into the equation.

Kicking the door down and coming on like an Olde School Christian with brimstone and hades-fire will never work even if the intentions are honorable and honest.

I am not the man behind the wheel here and as a fan am forced to accept where the team is going, however i do not have to remain silent and not aknowledge the things that are becoming obvious to me.

Nuge has been to worried about defense to fully grow his NHL level offense and years are slipping by already, this is an atrocity for gods sakes.

I want to see Eberle replaced with a bigger winger who has an equal talent upside, and I want to see Hall become a true beast and release himself from the pressure cooker he is living in,I want to see him begin to hit opponents when they are vulnerable and to establish himself as a physical threat that will give Nuge some room out there to work his offense.RNH needs two wingers who can get to where he needs them to be,who can get to those open holes and positions that Nuge needs to feed the puck to them in.W.G said that corners are for Bustops that is the bottom line here as well.I do not want to see Nuge fighting in the corners any more as he has been doing,i dont want his skill and talent level to be overshadowed by his linemates, everyone learns differently and Nuges natural growth has already been hindered,it must stop now,and the only way it will stop is to lose the coaching and System requirements which put him in those corners. The only way to get Nuge some room in those corners is to have men in place to finish his passes every time,he is the catalyst here not taylor, but taylor has been lugging the ball instead.

Time to wake up Darryl, even if you trust your managers pal.You will NEVER make a defensive team out of your roster, and no one in their right minds would give up any of this core of players, and this means you picked the wrong coach with the wrong methods,Dallas is not wrong he is smart and capable ,your DECISION was wrong,it was hopefull and well intended but not realistic. You chose defense and Dallas brings it,he doesnt take the bullet here.

When you traded MPS you made error number one,Perron has been more than I expected, however it doesnt change the fact that you gave up the size and skill you are now looking for.and really perrons scoring success has been at Nails expense and this alone has hindered his growth and evolution,Nail would have scored as many goals as Perron had he been given the focal attention to do so by the coach and a suitable system, toss in a defensively obbsessed coach and a pre-determined agenda of BREAKING the spirits of the young bucks and you might as well write the entire re-build off.

all 3 of our 1st rounders are growing at different speeds and as the last few years have gone by NO ONE has properly maintained the correct levels and degrees of support for them, not one has been handled properly.

They are all offensive players and they all needed to enter the NHL using their strengths to float until they got their feet under them, this sudden turn to a punative environment with an insane defensive BS mantra has ensured that NONE OF THEM CAN EVOLVE PROPERLY.

When you say BACKCHECK instead of DEFENSE you make an accurate valuation of an offense first System impact.

When you say DEFENSE first and backcheck second you are blowing wind and that is all you are doing.

Offense MUST ALWAYS COME FIRST AND ANY 5 YEAR OLD ON SKATES KNOWS THAT.

Properly managed offense is defensively air-tight,improperly managed offense is like a seive and we have already seen what that looks like.

A good and consistant defense simply means you get knocked out on your own terms and that is a very very selfish way to look at competition.

Even saying that defense first is the way to win is backwards and regressive, and on that note any IDIOT knows that you need to manufacture an airtight defense to win,but that DOES NOT MEAN that your primary focus must be on defense,it means that you must manufacture that air-tight defensive IMPACT during the games. There is more than one way to generate that defensive impact at an elite level and I could show you lots of gametapes from last season where this same team projected an ominously effective air-tight defensive impact while at the same time drove starting goalies out of the net using overwhelming offense as you were fed last night man, wake up already.

I literally believe that there is a massive communication impediment that exists here between the coaches and the players, not A SINGLE COACH--ALL OF THEM.

If everyone cannot even get on the same page about defining things like defense and offense and their position on the priority list then all is lost.

Anyone watching gametapes from last season and comparing them to this season with Nail Yakupov as the focal point would be aghast at the mismanagment of this single man,it has been a freaking tradgedy.

I dont care what jealous commentators who have historical hatred for the Oilers like Stock does have to say,and I dont care what Dallas has to say,and not what Hendi has to say or what Andrew has to say,I HAVE SEEN THE MEN WE HAVE BEING OPTIMISED AND MANAGED PROPERLY ON THE ICE AND I KNOW WHAT THEY CAN DO.

The newly recruited men I just mentioned do not know this and obviously have not done any homework to find out how and where they will fit into the picture here, they are only relying on what Dallas wants done as their guide, fine its their perogative.

If all of these men think that the locker room was a mess and there was no stability and leadership then they are severely deluded, absolutely deluded, the fact is that dallas came in gangbusters to reshape and to deconstruct everything about this team and he made a mistake in taking the path he has taken,it is that simple.I am sure managment asked Dallas to do this,I am sure they themselves did not give Dallas the full story, they gave him an excusatory story that layed all of the blame for the last few years on the players in TOTALITY.

Upper managment gave Dallas permission to do the things he is doing,in fact at this point after nearly a full season I am beginning to doubt that these are even Dallases natural tendancies.

There are some very serious survivors working in high managerial places for this team and they need to be either adjusted and counselled or cleaned out.A lot of dirty under the table crap has been done here for a very very long time now.maybe in the past these tactics were successfull but not today.

Anyone who can look another man in the eye and deny the reality of what the NHS is historiclly and where it was started and that it was specificlly designed for the Oilers, and deny its impacts then he is not a man,he is a liar.

If your loyaltys to your employer prohibit you from telling the truth as a man then you need to reasses where you are in life, because you are defining yourself through these moments.

Envy is a dangerous thing to embrace. And someone within the managerial group envies the NHS and what is has done and continues to do.

Everyone meets their match sooner or later and unfortunately this group met their s over 3 years ago, they took a solid and committed and loyal ally in Moma2 and the NHS and in a vain and excusatory and defensive series of actions intentionally forced a dynamic that attempted to turn that influence into an enemy,is was so childish and misdirected that it will go down as the biggest single mistake in the history of the organisation.

If there is a point of no return we must be very very close to it right now.

There have not been any cognisant or rational answers provided by managment for many years now, nearly everything has changed but no headway has been made, this points to a historical causality of the disconnect. This means managment, period.

You really want the bottom line, because Katz needs to get this clearly,----

Kevin Lowe is never going to break up a two on one in the Stanley Cup Playoffs or facewash an opponent.

Craig macTavish is never killing off a penalty in double overtime in game seven of the finals.

Steve Smith is never going to smash men away from the front of the net again.

Bucky is never going to skate his heart out and bleed for the team to will them through tough times again.

Dallas Eakins is never going to fill holes to support the team through a Cup run.

These men CAN NOT HELP THIS TEAM WIN GAMES through sheer will-power or good intentions.

None of them deserve the degrees of power and influence they currently weild. They simply arent valuable enough links in the chain that will pull this team out of the rut it is in,they CANNOT WIN GAMES,the PLAYERS are the only ones who can do that and they need to be catered to and supported in any and every way possible to help them do the things they CAN DO.

Battles with coaches and managment are signs of inner cancer and inner rot.
It isnt the players who are rotting,it is managment. They just cannot git er done on their own and they dont have the hockey acumen and communication skills to help the roster discover its own identity and forge its own legacy, they can only try to mold the men into clones of themselves.

These managerial men are all professionals of the highest caliber, but none of them were the core blocks that built their respective teams ,they have been tasked with things they are not equipped to accomplish.Running a team and BUILDING a team are totally different things, obviously right?

Five men sitting at a round table none of whom posses the required skillset to build a team from the ground up simply CAN NOT will themselves to get the job done, their learning curve will be incredibly long and hard. They will not evolve fast enough to keep up with the players growth and contract situations.Hence the only way to compensate for their group shortcomings is to manipulate the players and their contracts to buy themselves time.

If someone could straighten things out for this managerial group they would rock it man, they are an awsome team if they arent asked to do more than they can actually accomplish as individuals and as a group.

Simply put the long term plan has floundered at exactly the worst possible moment in time.

It is to late to go back now and everyone involved knows this,so the obvious option is a curative action, but what could that possible be when you already have five Kings of the World all sitting there smacking their melons together at the Round table? They must have all the answers right?

You see, they are being tasked with actions they cannot even execute as a group, something critical is missing.

There is nothing wrong with ANY of the people in the organisation as a whole, none of them, they are all professionals capable of executing their specific duties, but no more,if they are stretched we lose continuity and power, and this is what has been happening.

These men are all being asked to step out of their comfort zones professionally and take on a task none of them were ever taught to master, they are NOT TEAM BUILDERS,they are TEAMMATES.

I am fully aware that none of them individually will fully understand exactly what I am saying, however the fact is that many of the men on the roster DO IN FACT UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS and it is BECAUSE they are green enough to have not been brainwashed into specific roles yet, they have open minds and are willing to accept anything that is results based, they have nothing to protect or make excuses for. They want to win, they know how to win,and they know what helps them win.

I can easily bring the roster onto one page in no time just by offering them things they can take or leave of their own free will, things they have the power to embrace or reject, things that have an immediate positive impact for them on the ice and help them win games, but there is no way I can do that with the managment group unless I have absolute power over them and they are forced to listen and participate and to surrender their perspectives upon my demands so they can all keep up to me.The Kids can keep up,but the stubborn old dogs cannot, and they fight like mad to slow the train down when they feel they are losing a step which happens frequently.

Managment takes things to personally to learn effectively. They cannot check their job titles and egos at the door when it is asked of them, and really Darryl Katz you are the only man who can ask them all to become students of their own game again so man up and step forward and give them a chance to re-set before this ship really does sink on you all.

Your men are listening anyways, they are actioning things anyways,so why not invest some time and energy into finding a way to reunite your managers with Moma2s NewAge Hockey System ,MAKE THEM SURRENDER,you have the power,it is plain to see that they cannot overcome the myriad of things preventing them from voluntarilly becoming students again.

One must surrender themselves to become stronger, surrender to the pain of ripping and tearing muscles via hard work to maximise physical growth, surrender to the breaking down of old established and traditional perspectives via hard and intense results based scrutiny to ensure progressive consistant evolution.

If each member of the Managment team AND each member of the Roster,AND each member of the peripheral sphere of influence from the janitor to the accountant to the Bus driver fills out an anonymous form that gives them a solid outline upon which they can list the good AND the bad things they see happening around them and within the organisation and if this is specificlly projected with intentions of getting complete honesty,if the critical importance of complete and openminded honesty are stressed and if Anonymity is guaranteed, then you will have without a doubt ALL of the data you need to take full and complete curative actions. The single CODICILE must be that organisationally NO ONE EXCEPT KATZ ever gets to review the results with the Consultant representing the NHS.An owner guaranteed 100% assurance of absolute anonymity is the crux of solving these challenges immediatly.NO MAN WILL BE STABBED IN THE BACK----WE NEED HONESTY .

I do not believe that any significant changes need to be made ,I believe it is time to remove the hammer from over everyones heads in one full swooping action , we dont want to lose a single man we have invested resources into, the decisions have all been well supported, but there is a dire need for a single all-encompassing valuation of the dynamic superstructure and its abilitys and performance envelope capabilitys.

There is a way to solve this challenge where no man has to REMOVE his focus, but where every man must ADD the same strengths to his focus at the same time.

This superstructure does not have to be imploded, not at all.

If you asked me to remove one single man from the organisation I could not give you a valid and supported valuation to support that action, because I believe that all the right pieces are already there just not in the right spots yet.

If these men are all optimised and properly utilised then all can stay, but the way things have been managed and continue to evolve some of these men will have to be sacrificed to support the screwed up status quo sooner or later, and when that happens the entire organisation becomes weaker, every time you need to re-train and re-indoctrinate a new asset you take a small step backwards and you must pray that that asset can produce enough of an above average impact when it is in place to catch you back up again or the organisation suffers a setback or a growing pain if you will.So the more changes you make the more small stutter-steps you take backwards and the more pressure there is on multiple assets to produce concurrent above average results long enough to get things caught up from a results based organisational standpoint the greater the danger of major steps back.

Obviously the likelyhood is not high for any single asset to actually produce above average results long enough to balance out the organisational shock or cost of integrating them ,one in ten might fully recoup the energy the organisation loses in this process, and the rest will require varying degrees of blood from the superstructure and will all to some degree slow things down overall.hence the unstoppable backwards slide.

This is why people ask EXACTLY HOW can this oilers team be regressing? How can the re-build look like it needs to be re-re-built?

I just explained to you how AND why this IS IN FACT HAPPENING.I can give you an accurate timeline for when things will balance out as well,or rather the obvious facts can do this, but it will be a depressing scenario because you will find that the core will not be here to see it happen,no way not at this rate of recovery. At the current rate under the current circumstances we will need to see at least two of our 1st round picks traded and also see at least two or three of our best farmhands like Nurse and Klefbom traded away, and all this will do is barely make us a playoff team, not a threatening one just a competative one.

The entire roster will need to be restructured into a defensive setup as is already slowly happening dynamiclly with journeymen supporting the bottom six and older experienced forwards making up the top six, this means a short term run at best, not a Dynasty type of multi-year championship opportunity,it means another very very immediate re-tool or rebuild after two or three years.

Once you get to the middle of the NHL pack with this short term defensive based mess the high draft picks dry up and the cupboard goes bare quickly.

If the Oilers twitter away this core group of #1 picks the City will likely NEVER see this type of opportunity again.

Not to be disrespectfull but what kind of idiot would have a number of ULTRA-HIGH assets like this and not see the need to bring in more qualified support that matches the offensive value level of the core?????

Who would even consider trying to do what is being done to this team, from the inside??

Taylor Hall?Ryan Nugent-Hopkins?Nail Yakupov?Justin Schultz?Sam Gagner?David Perron?

Any fool can see that this group is outstanding and capable of becoming the base of a long-term Dynasty level group. And any fool can tell you that they arent going to do it by underutilising their cumulative skillsets.Defense doesnt even enter the equation and this is the core issue here, there is not enough qualified offensive teaching and coaching support available to this core and that will implode this group eventually, sooner than later.

You cannot replace ALL of the management people who are not suitable without ripping it all apart,so you need to TEACH them how to change their colors as a group, they all need to either relearn some basics or move on somewhere else. You cannot bring in Wayne gretzky to this superstructure and believe he could add enough to turn this around,no way no how.Mess wont do it either.

However if you can ADD something impactfull to all the assets in place and THEN ADD a Wayne gretzky after the road has been paved then incredible things could happen immediatly.

Either the majority of the managerial assets OR players must leave town,or EVERYONE MUST LEARN A NEW WAY OF MANAGING THEMSELVES TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME.

No one seems to have a curative action to ADD in this situation, they reject the NHS which could accomplish it ,and in the process remove the option totally from the table because there is nothing else on the planet that can provide the NHSs impacts. So you see someone in the organisation WANTS this team to implode, this is being done from the inside, someone is refusing to take their BadMedicine. So who is safe if the managment team implodes or if the roster implodes? There is no other possible source of this disconnect. So we have found ourselves at either Darryl katz or Kevin Lowe or both together in union.

If you dont have the ability to visualise this core becoming a Championship team through the use of their natural cumulative strengths then how you can properly optimise them? How can you even have a chance?

You need a builder with vision and new ideas to carry this group forward, but you refuse to relinquish any degree of control or credit to anyone, you are being overprotective of your glory as a group and are to one track minded as a group.

I would melt down your managerial group in an hour flat,to the point of men wanting to leave the room, but in the next hour i would have them all on one page and chomping at the bit to hear and learn more.

If i cannot enrage all of them at once then I cannot possibly teach them all something at once, but you see I see and understand the common thread of brotherhood here and know just how to rip its heart out and replace that failing unit with a NewAge and superior one.It is this managerial group that needs to be broken like a green Mustang,NOT the players, and there isnt a power on the planet outside of the NHS that can single-handedly and immediatly do this job.

You could not replace this managerial group today, there are not enough quality assets available on the market to adequately replace this group,if I had to assemble a group of NHL minds one-for-one to challenge and overcome this groups strength and acumen I would have a very very hard time getting the job done,HOWEVER I happen to have a System and a Philosophy which can accomplish these tasks in record time, there is a cure available and it is called the NHS.

Just look what the Flames did by simply using a TSP,they destroyed the Oilers, didnt just beat them down, they dismantled the system completely.

The flames didnt out-coach the Oilers or outplay them, they out thought them, they kept throwing the same punch that the Oilers refuse to even aknowledge exists. If you dont understand the NHS Tactical Shooting program and its impacts and cannot neutralise this impact using your system you are doomed in todays NHL,it is that simple, things change boys and sometimes they change faster than we like huh?

You behave as if there is never going to be anything new brought into the game of hockey that you all wont understand and already know, what an incredible level of vanity and ignorance.

You want to know why the Oilers are falling so fast and hard?Managerial stubbornness, ignorance, and vanity. Not a lack of ability at all, that is surely there, but if these intangibles cannot be properly managed then the ability is peed away now isnt it?And to think that the players have been hung out to dry to support these managerial weaknesses and managerial refusal to learn and evolve with the rest of the NHL.They want to fight change and challenges NOT learn, and they are not able to win the fights they get into anymore,it is a sad sad situation man. They were fighters as players and are fighters as managers, but as players this quality served them well but as managers all it does is seriously impede their ability and willingness to learn anything new or progressive, and to surrender enough control dynamiclly to get the help they ALL need as a group.

Is the Oilers glass on its way to being completely empty, or completely full?I say it is on its way to being completely full, but how is it possible to put the men running the show on that page with full belief and conviction?Simple, give them to me in a room for an afternoon, make me untouchable and powerfull Katz and after an hour i will relinquish that power completely because i will no longer need it,I just need your managerial team to sit down and listen long enough for me to stir them up and get the data we all need, once they are on the same page with me,they will become the glue that binds and will want more not less, there will be no need to control THEM you will need to keep me in the room FOR THEM AT THEIR REQUEST.

I dont think these men have ever been on the same full page together,or have ever seen anyone solve problems at an elite pace using them as the catalyst of change, bringing no new dynamics into play, just re-setting them. They have never really functioned as a fluid and optimal team, and once they taste that and feel the power they will love it.

I can literally use them to bring each other onto the same page,I have NO HOCKEY ACUMEN OR EXPERIENCE,I am an Intuit and an elite communicator, and that is what they need .

These men together hold the answers the team needs, but they need the right man to bring those answers out onto the table where as a group they can validate and endorse and implement them.
