A One World Government will be nothing more than another socialist/communist dictatorship... Communism is NOT ABOUT GOOD INTENTIONS TO MANKIND... for crying out loud READ ALL THAT MARX and ENGELS wrote about it instead of believing some other ignorant fool claiming "socialism/communism is the best thing invented in the world"...

Marx and Engels wanted to FORCE people into accepting socialism/communism, and according to Marx the only way to peace is when there is no opposition to socialism/communism... That will only happen when you murder or imprison MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, like socialist/communist dictatorships have done...

socialism/communism are nothing but plagues which seek to destroy individuality, spirituality and freedom in general...

I've always thought a one world government was inevitable. Life has basically tried to combine into bigger and bigger things as far as anyone can tell, why stop at a one world government?

The U.N. has limited power and has done a poor job. We need a one world government where laws would apply to every citizen of the world, and where a person living in Canada has the same rights as a mother living in the poorest country in Africa.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that we should have children starving to death because they cannot get even one meal a day, and then in another country we have billionaires just amassing wealth.

It just amazes me how there are a lot of people that are afraid of change. we do not need to isolate ourselves from each other. We need to come together as one. We need radical change. We do not need 200+ countries not agreeing with each other and going to war for stupid reasons. What we need is a global form of government, where the power will not go to a single person. But where the power will be divided and every corner of the world will have an opinion.

We need big change and we need it fast, our current system has failed for too long. So far the only things that it has given us are wars, inequality, and famine.

When someone brings up the term "One World Government" most people go into a defensive state of mind because that's what they have been conditioned to think.

Don't you get it? You think that you know what TPTB want..you probably think that they want us to bring us all together and to put us under their rule. But to me that makes little sense.

Think about it, if they unite us under their "new world order" thing then that will give most of the population an "us against them" mentality where the probability of an uprising would be high.

But if they keep us separated by promoting inequality, and by keeping the current system then we would be falling in their trap. I mean we already have the TSA, everyday it seems we are at bring of war with some country. Israel seems like it wants to attack iran almost every week etc..

We need to bring about this change as soon as possible before it's too late.

In time... maybe. Right now, the time is definitely not right. Forcing a one world government would retard humankind's progress. It's evident the world does not want it and would therefore be more of a hinderance than an aid.

Even then, however, I'm not sure a one world government is even practical. We have demonstrated a great inability to effectively govern large numbers of people.

And then there are the people who believe that a one world government would let everybody be as rich as some are in the States, but sadly that is not the plan they have for any of us. Oooh i know, trust me, and unfortunately there are people who know nothing of history and will believe every word the socialists/communists say, just like they have done in every country where socialism/communism has been completely embraced...

Alright- I wasn't even going to give this thread the time of day, and I know that there are many people already doing a good job of educating the OP, but I have to pitch in.

Before deciding any law, any government, is a good idea, imagine it in the hands of the worst tyrant you can imagine. All sorts of things can seem like great ideas if you imagine them only in the hands of wise benevolent philosopher kings, but the reality is that the tyrants will rise to power. They always do.

And global government??? Take a look at your own local government, then the state government, and now the federal government. Notice how the more centralized and broad the government entity is the harder it is to get your voice heard? The harder it is to effect positive change when necessary? Notice how increasingly out-of-touch and inbred the politicians are the more centralized their power is? The federal government we have now sees citizens as mere numbers on a chart, human lives as mere marbles that can be moved around at their whim and wiped from the board with no remorse. Do you seriously want to make this global?

I'm no fan of immoral wars of conquest, either, but the desire for perpetual peace through global tyranny is foolishness. Tyrants can bring an end to wars- by suppressing dissent, drugging the populace and generally destroying all that it means to be human.

Do we really want a small group of people making decisions for billions upon billions of people?

That concept is simply ludicrous.

I believe a more realistic and successful concept would be to go back to the old Roman republic setup, of course modernized to fit into current society. Every community should elect a leader sent to a republic meeting center where decisions would be made for the good of the community represented.

I also believe in most cases the best politicians are going to be the ones who dont want to do it.

I dont trust anyone who want to be a career politician, it simply doesnt make sense. How can you be making the best decisions for your constituents when your job relies on you making backroom deals with other shady corrupt political figures?

Look, I do believe in spirituality, but NO ONE in here, not even YOU is a highly spiritual being who knows what's best for everyone so everyone must ACCEPT YOUR One World Government, and spiritual views meanwhile you claim to be highly individualistic and that you respect people's individuality.
