Regardless, if a cop put his hand on mine I too would be very
uncomfortable. The kid was justified in pushing his hand away.
Seems that physical touching by strangers set this child off.
This is NORMAL. Strangers expecting to touch others people's
kids without a them reacting in NOT normal.
The scary thing is, here in Canada the institution wants 2yr. olds
to be in full day school now.

For the gov. to program 2yr. olds before parents can influence them
sounds allot like Stalin's kibbutz schools for kids.
Another good reason to support home schooling.

Agreed,

We teach our kids to report when strangers touch or assault them...but when they follow that, they get zip-tied.

Does this mean that cops are above the law...again?

People who say "if that happened to my kid, I would...!!" blah blah blah. This is the problem. People expect the world to put up with their kids and whatever disrespect and b.s. their kids feel like dishing out. If your kid is reasonably civil and well-behaved, then you have nothing to worry about. If your kid is a problem, then your kid is not going to be babied. The world is changing, ok. You'd best teach your kids to act straight, because society's tolerance for b.s. is at an all-time low. Get it together.

You know we're not allowed to even give Little Billy or Susie a smack on the behind when they act up without someone yelling "Child Abuse" but the police can do this to a 5 year old?

Wow, what a hero hey!

Well here's another young black american who's gonna grow up to hate and mistrust police.

Nice work Con-unstable douche.

If parents aren't allowed to hit their children what makes it ok for a cop to do the same/similar?

A sick, sick individual. Wonder how he'd feel if his kid was treated the same way?

It doesn't need to be my child, if i saw this happening i'd be right there in the court room giving damning testimony against that child-abusing pig.

Thank god the judge dismissed the charges, now they need to severly punish the cop responsible.

ATTENTION AMERICANS! You really, really have to do something to stop these animals, i would if i could but because i'm not American and i'd immediatly be labelled a terrorist.
C'mon, we are all relying on you to stop this because your the only ones who can.

First of all lets not forget what a child is. A child is a young human being that is growing up in a SICK world.

A child is born and taken home.
The parents have been taught to LEAVE a crying baby who wont sleep. This damages the mother/baby bond.

The child is bathed in a sea of sound. That sound is more often than not the sound of screaming soap charactors arguing and fighting and trying to kill each other.

Soon the child is old enough to sit up and can now see the soap charactors trying to kill each other.

Soon the child can understand words and knows the charactors are trying to kill each other.

Soon the child can switch channels on the tv and can see the most extreme violence rape torture and murder in the most graphic detail possible.

24/7 365 days a year the child WILL view from its own home scenes of extreme violence - murder - rape - torture.

The child is fed mind altering chemicals via its food.

The child goes to school and the teachers have a list of specific behaviours to watch for. These behaviours include - Fidgeting - Answering too soon -Sitting on hands - Not paying attention - Speaking out of turn etc etc..
A child who show 7 of these behaviours is now considered to be ADHD and serious mind damaging drugs are administered.

Yes we parents are a failiure.
We failed because even now, knowing what we know, we do nothing. We are a disgrace.

We pretend we care but if that were true we would rise up and throw the monsters out of office.

Who's gonna tell me I'm wrong???

So it's ok if he drops off your 5 yr old kid on your doorstep with cuffs on him?

Get real.

Either you don't have children or you are trolling.

And I don't say that lightly.

You ever been in cuffs? locked in a holding cell? it's enough to mess up an adult, children have no business being treated the same way as adults. Their brains haven't even developed fully until they are in their teens.

And its going to develop a deep hate for authority cops directly, they can only blame themselves for this one.

So of course this is a sad story. But consider this. It made the news! It's on television for millions and millions of people to see. Again that's why I emphasize you are not living in a police state. (yet, or whatever) In a true police state there would be no mentioning of this, no public disclosure.

So I certainly agree that these kind of situations are terrible, but they are more like the symptoms of a sick and failing system. It's just that I'm getting tired of people using situations like this to prove that we live in a police state.

Just like most of you, I was outraged when I initially read the title, but upon contemplating the situation, maybe this wasn't as bad as it is being made out to be. I am not saying that is the case, but think about this: in the day and age we live in, there are many parents who would sue a school if a teacher or counselor put their hands on their child, even in restraint.

And for that reason, calling a police officer was probably the right move. Given, I didn't listen to the news story, so I am not sure "what" this boy did, so maybe I am overreacting a bit, and forgive me if that is the case. I never stand up for police incompetency, but I do not know if police are trained to deal with unruly children, as they mainly deal with criminals.

Like I said, I don't know what exactly happened, or if charges are being filed for "assaulting" a cop, as funny as that is in this situation, so I am not positive that I am correct in my assessment, but I would understand if this were the line of thinking.

well according to federal law you can be trialed as young as 7 for racketeering prostitution murder drug dealing as an adult,...

Spare the rod and spoil the child. If parents would spank there kids like they used to alot of these behavior problems would go away. Children today have no respect for there elders and ADHD is used as a catchall crutch for all kinds of behavior problems.

The video mentions that the boy gets into a lot of fights with other children.

A reasonable translation of this would be that the boy often hits other children.

While the boy clearly has rights, so do the other kids that apparently have to put up with him assaulting them.
