Yeah.. it would be absurd. It would basically be the cops getting all the bad press for nothing.
Same bad press as real pepper spray, but none of the people move..
Didn't make any sense.

The thing is, you are blind to the fact these were people sitting there and they weren't doing anything at that time when the police officer sprayed their eyes and heads with pepperspray. By the way, aren't you thinking something like "Oh well they deserved it"? This kind of thinking, when you put law, material things and other things above a human's life is the reason why we are heading into WWIII. Think about this.

According to California penal code he should serve 16 months or 2 to 3 years for his atrocities!

anoncentral.tumblr.com...

California Penal Code Section 12403.7 (a) (8) (g) Any person who uses tear gas or tear gas weapons except in self-defense is guilty of a public offense and is punishable by imprisonment in a state prison for 16 months, or two or three years or in a county jail not to exceed one year or by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment, except that, if the use is against a peace officer, as defined in Chapter 4.5 (commencing with Section 830) of Title 3 of Part 2, engaged in the performance of his or her official duties and the person committing the offense knows or reasonably should know that the victim is a peace officer, the offense is punishable by imprisonment in a state prison for 16 months or two or three years or by a fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment.

These individuals where attempting to make maryters of them selves. They where doing these actions to get attention, although they where breaking the very laws the supposedly protect.

You know, people could just walk around them, as seen in the video so there was really no obstruction of a public walkway.

You sound like a cop yourself.

No law can make his actions right; your thinking is one of the reasons why stuff like this happens all over the world.

You love man's laws. Man law is illogical; it is entrenched in illusion. But you are entitled to your opinion as everyone else is, so there is no point of bashing you or anyone else.

Just remember "laws" and "morals" are subjective and depending on the person are applied in many different ways.

This is just terrible. To anybody who is defending the police in their actions: you are a scumbag and I hate you.

I was kidding man, I would sidekick him in the face and then pepperspray him, maybe, just maybe he would understand what it is like to feel pain.

Simply atrocious. This is worse than Syria. At least the Syrian peoples die. These people are being brutally tortured. Welcome to America, if you don't agree with us we are going to # on you.

It's not quite as bad as Syria. The horror is quite unimaginable there, as I have seen the videos of brains hanging out of blasted skulls, men with bullet wounds in their arms and bodies, and a missing jaw. This is nowhere near Syria's level of evil.

Stayed away from here for quite a while, and this attitude is why. By your reasoning those stupid colonists should have just paid King George's damned taxes. They were called rebels then, you know. Of course, if they had we would've had universal healthcare now.

Like I said, these people are being tortured, at least they have the luxury of having death instead of having their mouths pried open, a can of pepper spray unloaded into their mouths, and a week's stay at the hospital for their injuries.

Word fail me...

They was blocking the pathway so they deserved to be pepper sprayed ?

ARE YOU F**KING INSANE?

There comes a time when you have to over rule stupidity & laws with common sense, with logical thinking because it is the right thing to do,

I don't want to pepper spray harmless civilians for sitting on a footpath, because the only people who will use the footpath today will be protesters, any protester who wants to use the footpath wont mind walking on the grass, the public will not ask me to pepper spray the protesters for being in the way, because they're not retards

Therefore i shall not use my weapon on harmless protesters today, there is no need to harm these people, they are not hurting anybody

USE YOUR F**KING BRAIN MR POLICE OFFICER, TODAY YOU DID THE WRONG THING...IDIOT!!!

Yeah, I agree with you there, but in Syria, they aren't just dying. They are being tortured with amputation, disease, and long-term pain. Pepper spray is in no way good, but it is barely comparable to what is happening in Syria.

Thanks for reporting.

Awesome thing for the movement of the movement, the RE-OCCUPY movement, as the tent cities transform everywhere into standing protests..

WE THE PEOPLE

We will WIN by winning the hearts and minds of ONE GENERATION, and then that generation will come to power, everywhere.

It's an issue of AUTHORITY, and opposition to the abuse of it, for the sake of what is right.

That's very powerful stuff when you really think about it.

I was exaggerating a bit I admit... I really isn't as bad as Syria... but it is sad to see such behavior from a 'free' country. Look at Syria and look at America and you don't see much of a difference now do you?

OMG

POWERFUL indeed, and she seems like an elitist biatch if you ask me (forgive my language).

Oh wow!

Phenomenal.

The cameras are rolling.

Everything's changing.

Way to go students. Awesome, well done!

That almost brought me to tears, thanks for sharing that! Wow!

The youtube vid of her walking through the silent protestors... What a masterstroke by the protestors.

You could hear a pin drop with that cold silence. You can bet that scene is going to continue to reverberate.
