During Herman Cain’s tenure as the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, at least two female employees complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain, ultimately leaving their jobs at the trade group, multiple sources confirm to POLITICO.

Cain said he has “had thousands of people working for me” at different businesses over the years and could not comment “until I see some facts or some concrete evidence.” His campaign staff was given the name of one woman who complained last week, and it was repeated to Cain on Sunday. He responded, “I am not going to comment on that.”

Cain continues to avoid answering direct questions about the incidents. When asked point blank by a reporter, “Have you ever been accused, sir, in your life of harassment by a woman?” his reply:

He breathed audibly, glared at the reporter and stayed silent for several seconds. After the question was repeated three times, he responded by asking the reporter, “Have you ever been accused of sexual harassment?”

This could be a concern for someone who is trying to be the next president. I'm curious what his supporters here have to say about this...

Just face the truth. You blew it.
You posted this thread to smear Herman Cain.
Your buddies at Politico were turned into celebrities overnight.
They were on all the major networks the next morning after they posted their article.
----------
They were both asked 2 very simple questions.

Did you interview the 2 women who were sexually harrassed?

Answer: No.

Oh! um...... How about this? Please tell us what exactly what did Herman Cain do to them?

Answer: I don't know.

----------
Well, now that's what i call outstanding journalism!

Nice try.

-------
Please come up with another smear campaign. -- We need more money!--

What Obama scoop did the MSM ignore? The rumors about him being everything from a terrorist sympathizer to gay to a foreigner? Those are RUMORS. And they weren't ignored. The MSM reported on the RUMORS.

This Cain story is actual fact. Cain was accused of sexual harassment twice at least. that's a fact. His company paid off at least two women. These are facts that Cain himself has shared with us. These are not rumors.

I'm waiting for your response. What am I convicting Cain of?

Rumors??

"Media Blackout on Rev. Wright Started in 2007"

The disclosure by The Daily Caller that liberal journalists plotted to suppress stories about Barack Obama’s 20-year relationship with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. came as no surprise to me.

In January 2008, three months before the story of Wright’s connection to Obama finally broke in the mainstream media, I began writing stories as chief Washington correspondent of Newsmax.com about Obama’s close association with his America-hating, white-hating, Israel-hating minister. The media, which had known generally about Wright since Obama announced his candidacy in February 2007, ignored them.

Obama the Socialist Party Member

In June sources released information that during his campaign for the State Senate in Illinois, Barack Obama was endorsed by an organization known as the Chicago "New Party". The 'New Party' was a political party established by the Democratic Socialists of America (the DSA) to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards. The admittedly Socialist Organization experienced a moderate rise in numbers between 1995 and 1999. By 1999, however, the Socialist 'New Party' was essentially defunct after losing a supreme court challenge that ruled the organizations "fusion" reform platform as unconstitutional.

From the October 1996 Update of the DSA 'New Party':
"New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races...

Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)."

You can find the above quote from the scubbed New Party web page at this Internet Archive Organization link. More confirmation of Obama's membership in the New Party can be found at an article in the November 1996 Progressive Populist magazine:

New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George's County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. New Party member Barack Obama was uncontested for a State Senate seat from Chicago.

Just the FACTS ma'am. No rumors!! Facts that were never expounded on by a distracted and biased liberal media.

Sorry for the side bar.

“The accusations? It’s a hatchet job, in my opinion,” Fassler told TheDC from his Phoenix, Ariz. office. “My gut tells me it’s a hatchet job. He gets a lead, he gets some traction, and the next thing you know, here come these allegations. It’s sad.”

Fassler continues on to explain the money involved was small-potatoes...

Asked why no complaint about Herman Cain ever reached the board, Fassler put the episode in perspective, essentially seeing the amount of money involved as small-potatoes. “This agreement? If it was of a major magnitude, I would have been shocked to not have known about it. So my takeaway was that it must not have been of a major magnitude,” he told TheDC. Fassler drew a clear distinction between legal settlements for significant amounts of money and routine severance packages that would normally be handled far beneath the board’s level of responsibility. “At the association, people had a level of authority — an amount of money that they can spend before they have to bring it to the board [for approval],” he explained. “In this case, if it was over their authority level — and I don’t remember what that level was — they would have to bring it to the executive committee [of the board].

Oh, yes, I've seen all that. In my mind, Cain has never been a serious contender because of his policies and ignorance. It's exactly a year before the election. The landscape is going to shuffle around several times before then.

I really must say that I hope Paul gets the nomination. But Cain is a joke, in my opinion. I don't understand his supporters, but then again, I don't understand support for Michele Bachmann or Rick Perry, either...

It would not surprise me if we begin to learn that Herman Cain, all by his direction, was the one who leaked this story to the press...His campaign blamed everyone about the attacks, Cain himself actually played the race card, and now we learn none of the other potential sources for the information were the ones who leaked it...Cain knew about this stuff all along and did not say anything about it...until now...fluff story...fluff campaign...plus 9-9-9 is a really bad idea...

Is being a member of the New Party illegal? It wasn't reported that he prefers dramas to comedies, either. It's not relevant to the election. He never lied about it. In short, it's not news. However, three sexual harassment claims IS news.

Fessler gave more than "guts". He knows the protocol and if the payout was substantial, he would have been notified.

I don't doubt that angry, rich Republicans are pouring their support behind Cain in his time of need... They don't care about the truth. They just want their guy to win. So, this isn't a surprise. Give it time. We'll see where it all comes down.

"angry, rich Republicans..."
Give me facts please.

Not sure if this is the latest video but it sure says volumes towards people who try to make Herman Cain look stupid.

I'll fix the link, thank you

TY for fixing the link....

However when trying to prognosticate politics in America, I find it advantageous to go to the pros for info; Vegas odds makers as they have a splendid track record.

www.betvega.com...

Mr. Cain is even behind exgov Palin. That's not a good sign. I think the sexual harassment story has legs.

Sorry for all the corny metaphors....I can't help myself, it's a genetic defect.

edit...sports.ladbrokes.com...

Mr. Cain is making some headway. He is now in 4th place at 20/1. I doubt if he will even make it to first base in the primaries.

I suspect this post is going to invite some fury, but it is what I am begining to suspect.

McCain picked a woman VP, against his better judgement, because he thought that the simple virtue of her gender would make his candidacy more competitive.

Candidate Obama had Hillary...we need a woman.

This of course falsely assumed Americans would just see Gender and not care about intelligence or suitability for office.

And of course Americans actually cared more about intellect and qualifications, but the outcome still confused GOP strategists.

Here they have a Black candidate, Herman Cain. They should win! President Obama is weak in the polls, and in thier view he was simply elected because he was black. So they should hands down get this one. (thier thinking)

But wait...Why is the media taking court documents and evidence of multiple harrasment charges and public settlements seriously?? Candidate Obama, the media seemed to be on his side with such scandals!!!! Shouldn't we just be able to yell "Racism!!" and it goes away??

All the while not realizing that the "evidence" the American public eventually dismissed against President Obama came in the form of an unending stream of email smears claiming complete fictions like he was a "Muslim radical" "Born in Kenya" "Had a radical black agenda" "A secret manchurian candidate" "Intent on destroying the USA"

These smears used outright lies and fabrications to race bait Americans. They literally invented stories and facts and people to support the lies. All of it was proved as literal lies.

There remains a reality disconnect amongst the far right.

They think voters think

one woman is but a palceholder for another woman....They have Hillary, all we need is Palin

one black man is interchangable for another black man, they have Obama, we need Cain

And that spam/smear emails claiming Barack Obama is a "Radical Muslim Manchurian candidate" is the same as three women comming forward and multiple court settlements for sexual harrasment.

They think Americans don't care about the truth.

They still are missing big pieces of the puzzle.

Your metaphors are funny, loved the "standing behind Palin", lol.

I'm glad you added Cain's standing in the odds bc I was wondering where the great black hope stood.

Mr. Cain is making some headway. He is now in 4th place at 20/1. I doubt if he will even make it to first base in the primaries.

Lmao, stop it!!!

Oh, I just heard the lawyer of the anonymous woman who received the financial settlements stated that Cain quite possibly didn't know about the payoff because he wasn't working there at the time of the settlement. It was later in the 1990's. I'll search for a link to confirm that statement.

Update

"Cain did not sign settlement, accuser's lawyer says"

The settlement agreement between the National Restaurant Association and a woman who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment was reached in September 1999--and was not signed by Cain himself, according to Joel Bennett, a lawyer for the woman.

Bennett, who has a copy of the settlement agreement, said four people signed it: the woman, two lawyers representing the association and Bennett himself.

Bennett said the agreement was resolved relatively quickly, about two or three months after she complained.

That means it may have been reached after Cain left the association, and Bennett said it's conceivable that Cain didn't even know about it.

Bennett also told CBS News Friday morning he is hoping to issue a public statement reaffirming the accuser's claim within hours, if the restaurant group agrees to ease the confidentiality agreement that was part of the deal.

Bennett plans to issue the statement in his name, not in his client's name. It will not identify her, nor will it detail specific events of sexual harassment or the amount of settlement.

www.cbsnews.com...://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504564_162-573 18500-504564/cain-did-not-sign-settlement-accusers-lawyer-says/

Assuming that Cain committed a crime if these allegations prove to be true, Why were no criminal charges filed against him when the alleged acts occurred. Why no police report? If these allegations prove to be true, whats next? Criminal Charges?? What about statute of limitations on these types of cases? I would imagine that a victim would probably have no more than 180 days to file charges or a complaint in a criminal case.

They accuse the left of not being able to talk about the issues, like... Where was Cain born? What is his religion? Who are his parents? Can we see his birth certificate? Who does he pal around with? Does he smoke? Is he a Communist?

You know, the important issues like that.
