No. I'm all for standing up for what you believe in. I really am. But don't direct that # at me...when most of you (not you personally) don't work or pay taxes. Then want to sit around and bitch about it.

I support OWS. Not all of their ideals, but I support their basic purpose. Which is to make things better for you, for me, and for everyone that isn't thinking about money right now.

although I don't agree with, my hats off to you for standing by your belief despite all the heat you are taking.

I only hope you realize that the protesters are standing by their beliefs as well.

Peace

Everything has gone up, especially groceries and other necessities like tp and laundry detergent. But if this current POTUS has his way, not only will you be paying 60 bucks for broadband, you will be paying for that other guy on welfare to have broadband, and likely you will have to cut your grocery bill to do it....that is socialism, that is redistribution of wealth.

That's the truth. They want to keep the lower class down as far as they can so someone can serve up that nasty food everyone likes. What ever happened to on the job training?

@ nightstalker

every dollar in your pocket is taxed multiple multiple times bud, lets get real here.
i challenge you to go there and see how many regular average taxpaying citizens are there, stop watching cnn
theres lots of different ppl there for different reasons that all tie into the same core.
stop fking us people, stop digging deeper (keyword) in my pockets every year. stop taking more from the poor and taking less from the rich. why are corporations taxed less overall than citizens overall
(corporate 191 billion) (citizens income tax 1.052 trillion)
oh and theres over 600 trillion in credit default swaps. lol?

They are and they do have the right to protest, but what they are demanding is a lot of socialist stuff, more govt intrusion, and direct democracy and basically changing our Constitution. Some of us have seen this from the start. That is different from the Tea Party which reveres our Constitution and wants to pare down govt till we get back to our Founding roots. Also the Tea Party cleaned up after itself and is respectful with the police, and the police never had to intervene, except when the SEIU thugs came and beat up somebody.

I agree with you here. However, the OWS people seem to be calling for bigger govt and more socialism. How is that going to cut your taxes? They say they want the rich to pay more, but we all know that it will be the middle class who pays.

It seems to me that a lot of the people protesting have finished degrees and are still out of work, that's what I can see. It's hard for everyone right now, I know, although it doesn't need to be, admitting there is something rotten in this syustem and not doing anything about it is just really negligent, I think it's important to make our governments understand that we are not happy with how things are going and that we want things to change. This is what I can see.

Seriously, how can anyone get experience in the field when everyone wants someone already fully trained?

When a police officer yells in a megaphone 3 or 4 times that this is your last warning, to leave the area or you will be arrested....PLEASE don't act surprised when you are arrested.

If you WANT to be arrested to prove a point...PLEASE don't resist...go peacefully.

If you do resist...PLEASE don't act surprised when you are slammed to the ground.

This is basic common sense.

Well, here's the deal. This admin thought that by increasing govt they could increase jobs. The more govt interferes in the private sector with regulations and taxation, the fewer people the private sector will hire. Now we have a more bloated govt with more overhead, and private enterprise is worried and not hiring. This is all part of the socialist agenda though, because the goal is to absorb all private enterprise into the State.
OWS is basically demanding even more Statism. They are convinced that the problem is Capitalism because their Marxist professors said so.

That's just life man. My older brother went to college to be a teacher. He couldn't find a job in that field. He went to work at a Hotel. And to this day,he's still working doing that. And he's still paying off loans. There's no guarentee you're going to get a job because you have a degree.

I'm a business owner, pay taxes, served in the military, reasonably affluent, and most of the people I see at the OWS rallys are pretty much in my demographic; yet you try and marginalize those folks by calling them dirty hippies. Why is that? That would be like me calling you a loser because you don't make as much money as I do.

Has your Rush ideology got in the way of your common sense and lame insults is your way of conducting a debate?

I don't understand why it has to be in such a cold war mentality. I mean there are great aspects to socialism, historically it has been pretty awful although having things like free health care and free education are definitely good things, I'm not opposed to people being able to make more than a decent living, although allowing people to have the kinds of unprecedented wealth that we see today is in my opinion very irresponsible.

Thanks for laying that out for me

Bull. If what you say is true, you'd have no reason to protest.
