Did anyone post about this yet?

According to Livestreaming and Tweets after 1:00 am Tuesday, Occupy Wall Street Boston's North encampment is under attack by police in riot gear beating protesters as US veterans attempt to protect the people who have been peacefully demonstrating this evening. Police have demolished the tents. Earlier this evening, around eight ambulance moved in to the area of the Boston encampment. The attack was anticipated as scouts were reporting the police moving in and paddy wagons could be seen on the scene via the Boston Livestream.

Veterans for Peace on the scene trying to defend the people from violence are being violently attacked by police. The veterans had formed a line in front of the protesters but many were beaten. I guess we now know that veterans mean nothing to the police farce. I wonder why they're still standing around and taking this crap?

Dont you know that once you leave the military and are no longer fighting for your country that no one gives a crap about you anymore? Why would cops and government care about you, now you are against them rather then doing their bidding so you get beat with the rest of the cattle back into your cage.

this whole 'ows' crap needs to end. And nowhere in that article did I see anything remotely what your title suggests.Police have a job to do.This is the US.We follow laws. Don't like it,move In the mean time these 'protesters' need to go home and take a shower. And get a job. And stop blaming lifes problems on everyone else.

ETA Where's the proof they'r being 'violently' attacked by police? Too funny.

Here's the video.

People are getting fed up, and this IS going to come to a head. The poo is inches away from the oscillating blades.

ETA: They must have been Air Force or Navy veterans. Marines would have handed the cops their asses.

*No insult to the service of Flyboys and Squids; they simply don't have the hand to hand training Jarheads and Dogfaces rely on.

I need a little help (or maybe a lot). I went to the article and looked at the 2:30 video on the left margin. I didn't see any beating or anything beyond a small amount of pushing on both sides. When, in the video, were the beatings shown?

First 15 seconds says it all. 'Last warning, now is the time to move or you're going to be subject to arrest' Again,we have laws here. Follow them. Or pay the price. It's really not hard to understand.

Right on cue, blatant ignorance....

Get a job? Take a shower? What world do you live in? It obviously has no resemblance to the one the rest of us are living in.

I didn't see any beatings going on in the Vid in your link. A lot of arrests due to passive resistance though, but they'll be out come morning at the latest.

All in all it almost looked scripted. No one seemed excited, everyone almost looked like they knew the role they played. Kind of weird.

The vid they show though had music, which was distracting. It would have been better if we could have actually heard what was going on.

I think a lack of employment is one of the reasons they're all protesting.

King George had laws too. That doesn't make them right.

What about all the protesters who already have jobs?

Where is your proof that they aren't being violently attached because if you want proof that they are just go on youtube and in the search bar type police attack protesters... If you dare to learn the truth... there are plenty of videos that shows from start to end the types of things protesters are getting beaten and arrested for doing and none of it is being violent towards police unless you think standing in the street is being violent or yelling if so then yes the police are doing a great job at beating and arresting all those violent people who are standing around and yelling and holding signs... how dare they exercise free speech and the right to protest where do you think we are.. Oh wait we are in america I thought you could still do that here? Guess not

BTW police do have a job, their job is to protect citizens, enforce laws and help keep us safe... they are not doing their jobs...

Yeah they're entitled to something. A country free from warmongering, greedy thieves saving the bankers asses while the population is out of work, starving, and forced to pay for the bankers own mistakes. Damn straight they are entitled to something. And if the government isn't going to listen and respond to these protests with brute force, one day a million guns are going to descend from the hills.

Police have a job to do

And you would think that job would be to protect the rights of those citizens who have chosen to peacefully assemble to protest the injustices government has bestowed on them.

They are protesting corporate greed.

Corporate greed is directly responsible for many of the awful things that we see happening every day globally. So yes, to suggest that the whole thing is 'bs' is completely ignorant. And to basically say that they are lazy hippies without jobs (the basic gist of what you're saying) is just offensive. I have been to the protests in my city, and guess what? I have a job, I pay taxes and am pretty clean cut. I find your sentiments to be very ignorant and I hate to say it but rather immature and superficial.

I don't need proof of anything. Like I've stated, you break law and with warning you get what's coming to you. I think you need to learn the truth. If you truly believe that these 'protesters' aren't causing a problem, then you're the one that needs to do some research. I'm sick of this. I've had my day interuppted enough by you people. And that's where my issue comes in. I go to work to support my family. Don't get in my way. I haven't done a damn thing to you,so it's only fair you stay out of my way.

My GF and I support OWS and we make right at $300k gross with our LLCs. And I'm proud of the Americans that have the guts to think for themselves instead of letting Rush do it for them and express their outrage at the corruption and greed by protesting in the streets of America. If I'm arrested by exercising my constitutional rights: I'll wear that arrest with pride and honor.

In fact as american citizens we are all entitled to many things, that is after all why this country was formed in the first place... If you do not know of these rights please feel free to visit www.aclu.org...

I see evidence of a third party involved in the background stirring things up.

There are a few in the crowd who seemed belligerent, and the police got their marching orders from somewhere.

It is an old truism that if you want something to become a non-event, just ignore it. Someone wants to turn some of these protests into spectacles, as has been done in other locations and countries. It's a shame.
