The 50 Cent Party (simplified Chinese: 五毛党; traditional Chinese: 五毛黨; pinyin: wǔmáo dǎng) is a pejorative unofficial term for Internet commentators (simplified Chinese: 网络评论员; traditional Chinese: 網絡評論員; pinyin: wǎngluò pínglùn yuán), people hired by the PRC Government (both local and central) to post comments favorable towards the government policies in an attempt to shape public opinion on various Internet message boards.[1] The commentators are said to be paid for every post that either steers a discussion away from anti-party or sensitive content on domestic websites, bulletin board systems, and chatrooms,[2] or that advances the Communist party line.[3] Pro-party comments claim that the term is sometimes extended to discredit anyone who posts an excessively patriotic comment about China online.[4]

Apparently, there was a Creative Commons issue with another website regarding commentary and attribution on that thread on their site back in January 2006. It went back and forth and got a little heated.
What came out of it and what still has me curious was an investigation by Laura Knight-Jadczyk into Simon Gray and the Lincoln Group and where the funding came from that gave ATS its jumpstart to becoming the megasite it is today.
Is Simon Gray really Christian Bailey aka Christian Jozefowicz-Seifert, and did his Lincoln Group receive a $100M contract from Rumsfeld's DOD
I am not stating this as fact, I am asking if it is true.

You are clearly grandstanding in front of your acolytes while questioning my motivations with your aspersions and thinly veiled threats. If that makes you feel better, go ahead. Like I said from the start of my post on this subject, I don't want to get banned.
ATS is the best conspiracy site on the net! Heck, ATS/BTS/Above Politics is the best discussion board on the net of any kind, period!
I don't and wouldn't post anywhere else. I don't care what the reason for the site's existence is, the place has taken on a life of its own.
God bless the Three Amigos!
“Me Gusta” is a rage comic face that is typically used to respond to an awkward or disgusting event with “Me Gusta,” which means “it pleases me” in Spanish (often understood as “I like it” in English). It was originally only used in sexually perverse contexts, but has broadened over time to include a more general disturbing enjoyment.

I personally prefer the gusta face for that... tried others, to my artistic eye, gusta is a forlorn shill.

What you have failed to understand in your posts is that ATS has moderating staff from all over the world, covering Australian, Asian, European and American Time Zones.
You should also note that every moderator action can be seen by every other moderator.
It is not possible for a moderator to "go rogue", because the other board staff will challenge the decisions made by them, and if need be they will be removed from the staff.

The checks and balances that are in place to ensure that moderator actions are carried out as fairly as possible are astounding.
