The man appears to be speaking Arabic but from the more modern buildings that are shown in the beginning this guy could be anywhere.

Countries from around the world including our own spend millions of dollars to have big telescopes watch the skies and this is the closest picture of this thing we can get? Now thats the kind of thing that bothers me.

Perhaps if we knew where he was in the world we could find the closest telescope station to him and see what they say about it.

There was also a very similar (bit more spectacular) video of something very similar over Germany and the guy to me has a German Accent - Is it Melbourne? as stated or another angle on the German Meteor or what ever it was.

Nice closer for the thread Phage that most seem to ignore.

Could be falling space junk or debris. Could be that mammoth washer they lost off the space station.

That is interesting as I see an object like this over the south-west coast over the water at the suburb of Hallett Cove about once a month. Always just thought it was a plane's contrail with the sunlight reflecting off it. Will pay closer attention next time I see it. There is always just one that looks exactly like the one in the video but I am usually driving west when I see it so never wait to see where it goes.

Hate to be redundant, but I'll confirm a 99.9999999999% probability it's the sun reflecting off a contrail. Happens right after sunset and we often see similar here in Anchorage. When the contrails are long it can be quite beautiful.

Why, Oh why, is Comet Elenin the new buzzword. Does anyone know it's not visible to the naked eye yet? Do some research, please.

Sorry Phage, your comparison looks close but I do not see it the same way. The object by the OP was not falling out of the sky, it was stationary and it has shown up multiple nights. If it was contrail, or falling debris it would not remain in the atmosphere for consecutive nights in the same part of the sky. Common sense needs to come into play at some point don't you agree?

I don't get why you all who are barking "Its in the same spot for multiple evenings" or a variant thereof, refuse to think of the mere possibility that the same flight path is being used like clockwork, like most commercial airliners do!

I saw this same thing..... Just Before Sunrise... THIS MORNING..
So,. how does something in Australia,.. Show up in my sky,... IN WISCONSIN the next day.. Contrail huh?
Wow,. I will look tomorrow morn,. But this time I have the telescope and the camera in the truck

OK, so this object was seen over the Melbourne skies on the evening of the 30th. We had a meteor explode over New Zealand that same night...around 11pm...so take the time diff between our two countries and its a very good chance it was the very same meteor. We are ahead of Melbourne by 2.5 hours I think? The video seemed to be taken around 8pm/8.30 given the light.

If somebody films one of these things in the dead of night, that would be something to behold, but they always seem to show up right after sundown or just before sunrise, It's the shallow angle of the sun reflecting off distant contrails...

Well I have just checked online for any correlation between a ' meteor' exploding over New Zealand and the sighting in the OP here.

Here is a link to a lot of very interesting sightings that night. Not just of one ' meteor', but of other lights also. And the fact it to was moving slowly for some, and speeding for others.

I seen something similar to that here in KS a few weeks ago. As the sun was setting, it was on the other side of venus. So I chalked it up to an air plane or a very small cloud, just to be logical. We were driving down the highway.
Its VERY rare to see the sun set with out clouds on the horizon anymore. So it was one of those rare days. But I walk everyday as the sun is setting... normally and you'd think on such flat land the sunset would be crisp.
