It is a plane and it is a contrail.

Let me explain:

Have you heard of lunar eclipses? Thats when the moon passes behind the Earth relative to the sun and enters the Earth's shadow. The Moon appears red. This is because the atmosphere of the Earth acts as a prism and refracts the sun's light. Long wavelength light, like red, is refracted more than shorter wavelengths like blue. So red light gets refracted more and faintly illuminates the Moon, causing it to appear a deep red. This is because, at full eclipse, the moon is on the opposite side of the Earth than the Sun so only the deepest reds get refracted enough to illuminate the Moon.

This means that when the sun is just below the horizon slightly longer wavelengths at the lower end of the spectrum are refracted so an airplane with a contrail heading towards a sunrise/sunset vividly reflect those wavelengths - causing a vivid red or orange reflection from its contrail.

This is scientific fact. You can try to deny it as much as you want depending on how much you want to believe in your fantasies but it is a fact!

I suggest you try to educate yourself before pontificating on things you obviously have no knowledge of.

Says the new ats member that just signed up in March of this year....I did not need the lesson. It is not a plane nor a contrail. You have done nothing but post words. Where is your proof that is a contrail? Scientific fact guy?

How does the date a member registered with the site have any bearing on the validity of his argument?

Because in my opinion new members declare their word as golden, when they have presented nothing but their own opinion in return. Facts help support the response.

No worries, just kind of a rude response. I respect that you think it is a contrail, I disagree. See my brain allows me to think freely, and I know that a contrail would not remain in the sky for consecutive nights therefore there must be a better explanation.

This lady explains why the ancient people may have though this as a sign. I find the similarities very interesting. So there is my response to the "contrail" theory. People who don't know there own history are doomed to repeat it.

This has been explained, the guy saw them over or near Melbourne airport, so it is not a stretch to have a plane fly over the same area at the same time each night.

There are dozens of domestic and international flights leaving and arriving Melbourne airport in and around the time he saw them.

Maybe i am :p But i know many people who tend to see things after few months of usage of certain kind of drugs... (believe me, if you would know me, you would know I AM NOT AGAINST MOST KIND OF DRUGS, offtopic this is) That includes, seeing UFO's, Chemtrails, Obsessive behaver in conspiracy theories and I knew someone who had even had a problem he saw everywhere mouses and/or rats (and other virmin) inside his house... So beware of what to use and how long to use it :p

But nevertheless,

I used to believe in Chemtrails, and still believe it is possible... But if it where true, then i live in a zone where they spray, incredible much... Escpecialy now, and a few years back...

By the two trails on the zoomed in picture it is probably just a planes contrail being reflected by the sun.
Cool effect.

This analysis get my vote. It is a cool video but it is no mystery. A high altitude aircraft going west chasing the setting sun. The direct sunlight at the aircrafts altitude is being reflected off the lower side of the contrails being created by a high altitude jet aircraft.

Most likely Triangle types that were caught in Belgium.
