Totally agree, you would only see it in the infra-red spectrum. Either its not real or it is and we're not being told. Personally, if they came out and said we are part of a binary star system with a cold brown dwarf and it's no threat, I imagine every doomsdayer out there would shout "I told you so".

well what's weird is they've been putting out articles about binary sun systems !!!

what if our second sun is headed our way but we've got some advanced help in hiding it ? i know it sounds kooky, but when you realize how likely it is govt IS hiding ET life, it sort of opens up the psosbibilities

Does anyone know where Elenin is supposed to be right now? Like the coordinates? My neighbor has a pretty sweet telescope, we were looking at Saturn the other night and could see the rings and a few moons, it has tracking and remote control movement so if anyone knows where it is I'd be interested to try and track it down.

All the search brought up was articles related to double star solar systems where plants would grow black foliage. If thats what you are referring to then what I took from the article which I read on BBC news website is that It is talking about a system like that of Tatooine from star wars, where the two suns are in close proximity to each other.

I have a book called "skywatching" by David Levy (co-discovered showmaker levy) In one chapter, he starts off by writing;

Stars usually seem to occur as pairs, triples or even clusters. Lone stars like the Sun are in a minority, although it generally takes the magnification of a telescope to reveal a star's mulitple nature.

He goes on to explain that most multiple stars are held closely together, which is what the googled articles are referring to.

If we were part of a binary star system, our sister sun would be a far flung object which only comes close to use every few thousand years. If it is a brown dwarf, it would only be noticed as it came closer to our system. would probably go unnoticed during the day to the naked eye. And with all the recent obs done by nasa using satellites, I would suggest that its either covered up, or we truly are a minority star system.

thanks ! that article was used by many media, like a media network and is in addition to at least one other article about binary star systems i've read. i just think it's interesting the articles are popular right now.

it's obviously a typo - as our planet does not orbit two suns - but it has not been corrected. almost like someone's trying to tell us something. haha. i am a writer by trade, that sentence says our planet orbits two stars

Yes, i do believe our solar system is not a minority. However, i also dont believe that our planet orbits 2 stars....... i simply believe through history and scientific research of ice and weather that another sun( binary star) orbits eliptically along with our sun. What i mean is our sun and the binary star orbit intertwine orbits. That to me is the only thing that truly makes sense compared to everyones theories of another planet orbiting and elenin causing so much dramatic phenomenon on our planet right now.

I'm open to the idea of being part of a binary system, but so far I haven't seen any proof on the net or elsewhere to confirm it. Unfortunately, I think the idea has been pointed to as the impending 2012 doomsday by so many people now that if nasa have or do discover a companion star, I don't see them telling us until after 2012 has passed.

What I'm eagerly awaiting to see is if:

1) Our magnetic poles flip as they have done in the past (should in theory only disrupt satellites/air traffic/gps)
2) Elenin passes by with a nice light show in the night sky.
3) WISE has indeed discovered Tyche.

i agree...... NASA and every other means of tracking space has only been an accomplishment made for the elites and whomever they decide. i have my ideas on who the elites are and alot of other people do as well, but we will never truly know anything. Elites can simply be the most rich on the world or powerful leaders of countries, but anyways, They will NOT tell anyone anything that might cause panic and disrupt their own plans and survival.

of if there IS a brown dwarf - i think the binary sun theory is the best oen for it

If im not mistaken, what you're referring to is earth crust displacement. A physical shift of the crust over the mantle. Hard to see how this would actually happen.

Pole flip (in my understanding) is just the reversal of the magnetic poles, so North on your compass is now south. I do not believe this could cause the earths crust to physically shift.

yes, i fully agree.... there is major timeline of events and the ancient cultures have to have seen something or know about something. and even if someone considers the fact that kings and pharoahs of those times would not want things written for their own power....... but maybe they wanted it written down as their legacy..

It has mainly been the christian and catholic religions severely controlling anything written that is not about their belief and control

there are several ways to my knowledge reading through scientist literature and articles on web sites where there is possibilities that a pole shift could happen physically

1) Large Asteroid or celestial body collide with Earth

2) close enough passing of a LARGE body coming in close proximity to earth and disturbing the Earths gravitational pull along with the sun.

3) a few others


i am no scientist, so i may be really wrong but... i have read alot about this the last 8 years and i know alot of what i read is hoax and welll.......... BS but some things you can see is truly scientific
