i'm specifically talking about the science types on these boards.
I am one of the "science types" on this board and I am clearly appalled by the ignorance of basic science on the part of some members, and the willingness to exploit this ignorance on the part of others. Anything massive enough to cause earthquakes on Earth would be disturbing the tides and plucking asteroids out of their orbits; since none of that is happening, there is no massive body approaching. 9nania made a vague fear-mongering prediction and got lucky. She's gone silent now because she knows if she opens her mouth again her track record will drop from 50% (Remember the March 31st prediction?) to 33% and not even truthseeker1111 will be able to defend her any more.

you should be appalled that citizens have lots all faith in their government, and NASA, and have to rely on random Internet research to find out if an apocalypse is on the way
i realize how frustrated you get - but i don't think you're aware of what the REAL problem and cause of all this, is
as well
9nania's 31st prediction was indeed a prediction, but even by her own omission, it was not based on the same alignment she used for her 11th-15th prediction and it didn't even feature her voice or image. i seriously am wondering if that's even her account anymore.

and i don't get it
on one point, you say her initial prediction video wasn't good enough
and then when you lose that argument
you have to go to her next video, which again even if she was sincere with prediction, it was not based on same patterns observed from last prediction
its not about if she's a good source or not either, it's just about odds of her making accurate prediction based on such an "inaccurate" theory
and earthquake activity has been getting worse and worse since 11th

Gee, I wonder why?
Maybe it was the historic 9.0 quake and all.
But I could be wrong.

Well lets see... Quakes 6.0 are considered to be common place now which would hardly be noticed compared to Quakes 7.0 and greater which are the TYPES above that this issue is about. But then I've already posted a rebuttal discussing the ODDS and number probability in EARTHQUAKE PREDICTION and why 9nania giving an EXACT DATE and describing it would be a cataclysmic seismic event occurring in conjunction with a specific PATTERN, is beyond mere chance and coincidence.
Too bad she didn't predict the exact date, then. She predicted "this week-end," citing a range of dates from the eleventh to the fifteenth. That's a four day range.
She also did not give a specific magnitude, all she did was whine about it being dangerous. Any magnitude 6 earthquake that did any property damage could be claimed as a "hit."
Furthermore, she did not predict that it would happen in Japan; she predicted that it would happen in California OR Iran OR South America OR Japan OR the New Madrid fault; in other words, she parroted the list of areas on fault lines provided by Michio Kushi in the video she plagiarized.
Of course an earthquake would happen on a fault zone so the odds of one happening in one of the many places she named was 100%.

My prediction is much more specific than hers: I narrow the range to three rather than four days and I name a specific magnitude. Please post a link to your statistical analysis, I don't recall seeing it on this thread; all I've seen here are affirmations without any actual evidence.

Relying on random internet searches for anything will always yield you garbage. .
ITS AN IRREFUTABLE FACT SHE PREDICTED THE EXACT DATE.
You're right..i stand corrected... it wasn't on this thread... it was on this one...
www.abovetopsecret.com...
but i've written several rebuttals on this subject in threads dealing with this same issue, so my bad
It has been estimated by various seismic professors, that the odds of anyone predicting a major quake over 6.5, within 3 days and 250 miles of the event, is about 10,000 to 1 if they choose an earthquake prone area or much higher if they choose an area of the earth not subject to quakes.
And the real odds of anyone giving the exact date when a quake over 7.0 will occur is around 30 to 1.
the Internet is a warehouse for all kinds of info, including the kinds of info NASA shares
everyone should thoroughly educate themselves with as many sources, thanks to Internet, as possible

TYPING SOMETHING IN ALL CAPS DOESN'T MAKE IT IRREFUTABLE, especially if it keeps getting refuted. 9nania predicted a range of dates, not a specific date. Statistically, there was likely to be an earthquake of at least 6.0. A 6.0 quake can cause significant damage in a populated area, allowing it to be called a "catastrophe."

So where exactly is your "statistical analysis? Is this it?
It has been estimated by various seismic professors, that the odds of anyone predicting a major quake over 6.5, within 3 days and 250 miles of the event, is about 10,000 to 1 if they choose an earthquake prone area or much higher if they choose an area of the earth not subject to quakes.

Would you please provide a link to the source of this statement? Not that it matters, since 9nanaia did not name either an exact date, an exact location nor an exact magnitude. She provided a range of dates and a number of different locations. TYPING IN ALL CAPS DOES NOT REFUTE THAT FACT.

I agree, but it is necessary to understand the nature of the sources one is reading. Some are more reliable than others.
you can say it wa s alucky guess and all that, but stop twisting the truth
problem is though we don't know what's reliable anymore : ( cnn is a TABLOID !
see the problem ????

But I'm not the one twisting the truth; what she did is an old con game: "If you cross the river, a mighty army will be destroyed."
If the quake had struck California instead of Japan, she would have been right. If the quake had struck Japan on the 12th, she would have been right. If the quake had struck California on the 13th, she would have been right. If the quake had struck Japan on the 14th, but was only 6.0 but completely leveled a village, she would have been right. Do you see how the con works now?

Exactly; that's where critical thinking comes in.

I mean she was so sure of her prediction that she told everyone in California to head to higher ground, which she herself claims to have done, but it wasn't a real prediction. If it had been a real prediction she would have been right. Since she wasn't right clearly she was just joking around or something and it shouldn't be held against her.

Michio Kushi's point was that we should always stay off the fault lines. That is a much more useful idea. My prediction is just as accurate as hers: get off the fault lines RIGHT NOW! There will be an earthquake in the next three days.

Look, why do you worry yourselves with something you have no control over? I guarantee you if a brown dwarf that size is heading to earth, no bunker or cave will protect you! People are so concerned about earthly living that they don't bother understanding their real LIFE and why that which shall be is ordained to be!!!
Fear is the power of death; and ignorance is the power of fear! When you come to the full knowledge of that which matters you will seize from worrying about that which doesn't. If you are that concerned about the earth, turn to your neighbor and hug'm and mannifest true love, then you will develope peace on earth; but that will not happen, because there are way too many individualistic minds on earth, eccentrics that see thamselves as better or superior to others. When you purify your heart it will not matter to you what is headed your way: for since you did not create yourself you have no hand in the fate of creation.
Those who do not believe in creation and God suppose they can control fate, even the fate of the universe: really? You cannot control the outcome of the life you host, let alone the universe as a whole! The only thing you can control is how you feel about your neighbor: turn to them and love them, because you are forever linked to them, even as the galaxies are linked in a vast cosmic web: for so are you linked in a vast spiritual web, held together by an all powerful invisible energy. Peace be with you!!!
